- Herbert S.May 2024PozitivnoLocation directly on the cycle pathNegativnoPaths partly in poor conditionGood location to Mont St. MichelWe spent 2 nights at the campsite. It is ideal for visiting the MSM, as it is located directly on the cycle path that leads straight to the Mont, the bike parking lots and the shuttle. Some of the paths on the site are very patchy. The pitches are sufficiently large and grassy, and the site makes a well-kept... impression overall. The sanitary facilities are adequate and were always clean. We did not use the bar. Bread can be ordered, but the lady struggled with the till for quite a long time, so we were afraid of going hungry that day ;)) With ACSI we paid €22.10 per day.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Ralf N.September 2023PozitivnoThe campsite is the ideal starting point for visiting Mont Saint-Michel and this coastal region. We were given a very nice welcome by a young lady who explained everything to us. We had a pitch with private sanitary facilities. The distance between the pitches is fine in my opinion. There is a pool and a bar. Bread roll service too. The sanitary buildings are quite new and clean. There is a supermarket and a petrol station nearby.NegativnoA few garbage cans distributed around the square would be ideal.Super close to Mont Saint-MichelVery good place for further excursions in the region! Everything very clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Bernd S.September 2022PozitivnoWell-kept placeNegativnoPitches under trees Pigeon nestsIdeal place to visit Mont-St.- MichelI agree with the previous comment in every respect.
I would like to add that the trees are very popular with pigeons and the associated droppings on the vehicles.Samodejno prevedeno. - Annette H.September 2022PozitivnoCP facility, size of pitches, tranquillity, cycle paths nearby, friendliness, shady treesNegativnoNo hot water in the shower at peak times, pool temperatureBy bike to Mont Saint MichelThe campsite (CP) is medium-sized and is located near Pontorson.
We were allowed to choose one of the many free pitches. The individual pitches are mostly separated from each other by high (approx. 2 m) hedges. Several tall trees provide shade. The driveways (not laid out at right angles but very organically)... are asphalted and the pitches are very level and on grass and sandy ground. There is ample space for maneuvering with a caravan and trailer.
The sanitary facilities are quite new and clean. As on most campsites, the shower cubicles are of an inhumane size and hot water is in short supply at peak times (and in the off-season).
The pool area is too small for the size of the campsite. The water in the pool was "very refreshing" - meaning cool - at the beginning of September.
A bar at the campsite provides fresh baguettes and a limited selection of drinks and ice cream - no food (except croissants for breakfast).
The reception is friendly and helpful.
Overall, the campsite is in a quiet location. Walks and cycle tours start directly from the campsite. The nearest village is just a few hundred meters away and the nearest large supermarket is about 2 km away. It is about 9 km by bike to Mont Saints Michel - on a beautiful cycle path away from the traffic. The good network of cycle paths in the area is largely flat.
In short, the campsite is suitable for people looking for peace and quiet, but also for families with children in high season.Samodejno prevedeno. - Andrea K.September 2019PozitivnoTOP location to the village and Mont Saint Michel Super friendly reception (a young lady and a young gentleman) Very large pitches3 stars are far too few for this great CPWe had actually reserved 2 pitches at another campsite, but 2 hours before arrival we found out that our pitches were taken.... So we ended up on this super nice site and were glad that it turned out that way. I don't understand why the campsite only has 3 stars. Everything is just right here: super... friendly reception (although we said on the phone that we actually wanted to go to the campsite one place further on)!!! Very large, parceled out pitches. Generally very nicely designed site. Large pool with sun loungers. Clean, modern sanitary facilities (not separated by gender, but that doesn't bother me). Absolutely quiet and located on the riverbank (the only downside here was that we had an insane number of hungry mosquitoes on 3 evenings during our stay). Le Mont Saint Michel is easy to reach on the cycle path along the river (even in the dark). Wi-Fi is free and works perfectly. The village of Pontorson is within walking distance, there is a market on Wednesdays, cafés, restaurants, bakers, meztger, etc. A supermarket (Carrefour) is also just a 3-minute walk from the campsite. You have the option of ordering baguettes on site. I can only recommend this campsite....!!!! Je dis merci beaucoup et á la prochaine peut-être! Beaucoup de salutations, A. KleinSamodejno prevedeno.
- Bernd M.June 2019Pozitivnonice CP, friendly staffNegativnononeConveniently located for visiting Mt. Saint Michel and St. MaloThe staff is very friendly, the pitches are well maintained, wide access roads, comfort pitches, delimited by hedges, are spacious and have electricity, water and sewage connections. The sanitary facilities were OK. Mt. Saint Michel is not far away. You can easily reach it on a cycle/hiking path from... the campsite. The campsite is a good starting point for excursions to Saint Malo and Granville and from there possibly to Jersey. Supermarket (Carrefour) can be reached on foot in a few minutes. The supply of baguettes etc. at the campsite is excellent and I can highly recommend the campsite.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Kirsten H.October 2018PozitivnoLarge pitches, clean sanitary facilitiesNegativnoThe lighting should be improvedGreat campsiteWe had a Comfort pitch with water. The pitch is very large and separated by hedges. The sanitary facilities are new and clean. You can order bread rolls, croissants and baguettes. Wifi is free. The cycle path to Mont Saint Michel is great and now in October it is not overcrowded. A Carrefour is within... walking distance and a Lidl is in town. There are many restaurants. There is a small bar with coffee and the people are very nice and speak good English.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Hans D.August 2018PozitivnoLocation, price,Negativnowithoutmost beautiful place of our Atlantic tourEverything that the previous speakers have said positively fits. St. Malo is 40 km away and Mont St. Michel is 9 km away, completely accessible on cycle paths. The cycle path to St. Malo in particular is a blast, alternating between through the forest, across fields or along the water, via Cancale to the destination. Pontorson 1 km away Supermarket and Lidl in the village and market day on Wednesdays. Separate rear exit for walking or cycling.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Jörg R.August 2016Negativnodid not existClean beautiful placeWe had a large pitch with a hedge boundary. Short distances to the very clean toilets and the pool. You can be at Saint Mon't Michel in a short time by bike.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Harald B.August 2016PozitivnoBeautifully laid out, close to Mont-Saint-MichelNegativnoNoneBeautifully laid out courseI wrote this in 2010: Super well-maintained site, very clean sanitary facilities. Very good location to visit e.g. Mont-Saint-Michel, by bike on separate bike paths about 9 km. Small outdoor pool, small restaurant, but both clean and nicely done. We will be back again. In 2016 we were there again, the place is still as beautiful and well maintained as the first time. Reservation with deposit but no fee.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Thomas M.July 2016PozitivnoLarge pitch with supply and disposal. Always clean sanitary facilities. Very friendly staff.NegativnoNoneBeautiful place in NormandyVery well located for exploring Mont St. Michel and Normandy as well as eastern Brittany. Reservation was not necessary as many pitches were free for rice campers.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Annette K.June 2016Well maintained courseBeautiful, well-kept site. Some very large pitches separated by hedges, friendly staff. Close to Mont St. Michel. Well suited as an overnight stop on the journey.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Juliane W.July 2015PozitivnoLocation to Mont St.MichelBeautiful, clean placeVery suitable for a visit to Mont St. Michel. We got a pitch immediately without a reservation. Beautiful campsite with a small but nice pool. Beautiful site design. Sanitary facilities unisex and a little too small for the busy site.Samodejno prevedeno.Odgovorjeno od Camping Haliotis August 13, 2015We are delighted that you liked our site. Our sanitary facilities cannot be enlarged as we are in a classified area (bay of Mont Saint Michel).
We hope to see you next time.Samodejno prevedeno. - Hartmut L.June 2015PozitivnoNice service, spacious pitches, barbecue on site, swimming pool. Shopping (supermarket) within walking distance.NegativnoNoneNice place in a good location.A beautiful place for excursions in the surrounding area, for relaxing by the pool or for sporting activities. The proximity to Mt. St. Michel, St. Malo and beautiful coastal towns/beaches/viewpoints is inspiring.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Christian H.September 2014Pozitivnolarge beautiful plots, whole complex lovingly maintainedNegativnoa single sanitary building on the entire siteToo bad thatWonderfully designed complex with pool, sauna, petting zoo etc. Different plot sizes, 100m2 with electricity, 120m2 with own sanitary facilities, 140 m2 with fresh and waste water, only two exits if you want to walk the dogs, one of them directly into the village, too bad only one sanitary building (2nd... would not be a great luxury), showers heated, WC fresh, 3 min walk from "our" plot, for the other space quality sanitary facilities in the lower area, queue in mid-September.....Samodejno prevedeno.
- jens g.August 2014PozitivnoIdeally located. Clean. Lots of opportunities to play, quiet.NegativnoLong walk from the outer pitches to the sanitary building at night. ExpensiveSuper campsite in the middle of the town of PontersonOnly an amusement park has more offers of play objects, zoo and swimming pool :-) The high hedges of the pitches allow a lot of privacy. A 2nd toulette house would be great. Ideal as a starting point for the Mont as well as along the coast to Sant Marlo. Shopping close to the town is no problem at all.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Jürgen K.July 2013One of the best campsites I know in France and I've already been to a few. Everything is just right here. Large pitches, wonderful swimming pool for cooling off, cycle path directly behind the site and ideal for walking with a dog, large supermarket (Carrefour) around the corner for shopping and cheap refueling, of course baguettes on site, etc. Only the toilets could be cramped in the high season, but they have toilet seats, paper and music :-)Samodejno prevedeno.
- S H.June 2013Excellent site, well maintained, very large pitches, supermarket and reasonably priced petrol station nearby. Ideal starting point for Mt. St. Michel (also by bike).Samodejno prevedeno.
- Markus M.August 2012Right next to the cycle path on the tributary to Mon Saint Michel. Also suitable for dog owners. Pitch surrounded by hedge. Well frequented despite the end of the French vacation. Pool a little small. Bar right next to the pool a bit lively but tasteful. Petting zoo and children's playground. Old town with market 5 minutes on foot. Various restaurants for every taste. Excellent price-performance ratio thanks to Camping Cheque.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Edith S.June 2011This campsite is the most beautiful campsite we have ever visited due to its beautifully landscaped gardens, playgrounds and cleanliness and deserves at least 4 stars. This campsite is also highly recommended for trips to St. Michel and San Malo.Samodejno prevedeno.
