- Andrea R.July 2019PozitivnoJust the location and peace and quiet.NegativnoExtremely old sanitary facilities. Wobbly taps and brackets, it stinks all the time.The location......is top for me! The peace and quiet! And with the dogs, this place is ideal for me. But the sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired: little pressure on outdated pipes, too much mould in all the cracks, bad smells, old drains and silted up siphons, too few toilets when there's more going on, everything... cramped and cramped... the hosts are trying hard, but more reserved and critical than open and hospitable. I was there for the 2nd time and would come back if the sanitary facilities were new, but not like this! Breathing in mold and exposing yourself to the risk of legionella only for idyll...hardly any flexibility on the part of the hosts, mustiness and rejection, for which this price is somehow not justified. If you like action, you're in the wrong place.My short trip in July 2019spontaneously led me to this wonderful spot! I stayed for 2 nights with two dogs and a large tent. I was able to relax in this peaceful setting just as I wanted to! For me as a camper, the offer contains everything I need. Great value for money, clean, quiet, pleasant. I will land here more often to... go on active vacations in the Rhön...all points in the area are easy to reach. You can leave the car or drive to it within a very short time...shopping, bank, culture: thanks to Gersfeld next door, no problem...this peace!!! - Rufus K.May 2018Pozitivno-the Laage in the middle of the HochrhönNegativno-dilapidated, uncleaned sanitary facilities -very unfriendly owners -petty cash madness....every drop of water costs moneyYou can make more of it in the heart of the Hochrhön!!!!!The most beautiful and only positive thing about the place is the location in the middle of the beautiful Hochrhön and the proximity to the Wasserkuppe / Guckaisee. The sanitary facilities are, to put it mildly, an absolute imposition. You won't find any soap or proper toilet paper (only greaseproof... paper). As far as the owner is concerned, I can only agree with the other comments - very unfriendly and snotty - the main thing is the fag in the snorkel. After 2 days we left again relieved and by chance found a beautifully situated campsite in Bischofsheim. We were warmly welcomed there, clean sanitary facilities, very family-friendly, no small change madness like at the Hochrhön site.Samodejno prevedeno.

Hot water outside the showers is only available for 5 cents (for the shortest time). Watch out: after inserting the 50 cents into the shower machine, the time starts to run. And 8 minutes can be quite short. But at least then only WW turns off, KW keeps running. The pitches are not too bad, but the nearby road with its motorcyclists is annoying (but only during the day).Samodejno prevedeno.

At about 14:30 from the place operator were mobbed had to drive away the motorhome. Water points out of order. Sanitary facilities bad. On the square some... pitches littered. Some caravans have not seen the owners for years. General information from pitch tenants is that you are only there because of the annual price. Unfriendliness of the operators is generally known. Instead of increasing the seat price by 1 euro, small change is demanded at every water outlet. Almost the whole of the rest of Europe can only laugh. Even to wash your hands (hot water) after using the toilet you need change, soap - no soap! Scullery: hot water for a fee - no basin lock. Showers - for a fee, but unfortunately the hot water only comes after 3 minutes. Washroom, hot water for a fee, but hurry to brush your teeth otherwise not enough..... I can only agree with the previous writers that the equipment is quite simple, but that doesn't bother us. The owner couple was friendly and nice to us! We will be back! We can also recommend the inn "Zur schönen Aussicht" in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. Very good food and delicious "Schwarzer Hahn" (beer)Samodejno prevedeno.

We will avoid this site in future and will not recommend it to others. Hot water costs extra everywhere, washbasins and sinks 5 cents, showers 50 cents. Staff - especially the boss - were very unfriendly and rude. Too expensive for what was on offerSamodejno prevedeno.
