- Paul M.September 2024PozitivnoThe exceptional location and panorama. Small family place. Uncomplicated.NegativnoWe knew what we were getting into. Therefore no perceived disadvantages. Cow bells at 15m took some getting used to. But it's part of the ambience. One of our camping highlightsFirst of all. This site is rather difficult to access for classic motorhomes or larger caravans. No problem for camper vans and cars. We were there with a small caravan after booking in advance. Body 3.6m. That still worked. On arrival, it is best to park on the upper level and walk the last 100m down... to the registration area. Maneuvering can be difficult at the bottom of the yard. There is also electricity (Swiss plug) and a water tap on the upper level. We arrived with an empty chemical toilet, which was enough for 3 nights. On the descent, the extreme steepness of the narrow road pushed our car to its limits. A unique experience. Very friendly owner who also has time for a chat. 2 toilets, 2 showers, 1 washbasin, 1 sink, 1 washing machine, 1 dryer are absolutely sufficient even with maximum occupancy.Samodejno prevedeno.

- Marco M.June 2014PozitivnoPrice Cleanliness ViewNegativnoNo food except milk No guest cardSmall but nice placeVery small pitch on a farm with only a few pitches. The site has a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. The sanitary facilities are very clean and in good condition. The price-performance ratio is top 16,80SF for 2 pers. tent, electricity, wifi, shower. Milk can be bought at the night bar for... 1SF 1L otherwise there is nothing else. Small disadvantage you don't get a guest card with which you have a discount on mountain railroads etc.. There are good instructions on how to get there in the homepageSamodejno prevedeno.
- Ekkehard B.September 2012Arrival: if you are traveling by public transport, take the bus to "St. Jakob (Ennetmoos)" or - there are a few connections - directly to "Ennetmoos, Abz. Vorsässstrass". ↵ On request, the friendly and helpful campground attendant will pick you up at the St. Jakob bus stop. ↵ If you want to walk, you... can walk up the road, takes about 1 hour, see uploaded picture with red shortcut on the left. ↵ Or slightly shorter (20-30 minutes) with the red shortcut on the right. As this hiking trail is not always clearly visible at the marked point, it is advisable to walk this trail for the first time during the day. ↵ The camping site is actually quite small and there are only a few flat pitches. The sanitary facilities are 200 steps (not meters!) away, simple and very clean. The peace and quiet and the wonderful view are almost unrivaled. ↵ If you want to arrive by motorhome, it's best to call ahead, as the last few meters to the campsite are almost 20% uphill and can only be managed with a tractor. ↵ Backpackers are advised to carry some food in their rucksack, as there is no store at the top of the mountain. ↵ Stans can be reached quite quickly by bus, although there is not a bus every hour. A quick look at the timetable is recommended. ↵ The new cable car to the Stanserhorn has been open for almost 3 months, with CabriO, the world's first cable car with an open upper deck. But you have to be patient at the moment because almost everyone wants to get up the mountain at the same time. The Asian restaurant opposite the vintage funicular is a great place to pass the waiting time with a good meal.Samodejno prevedeno.
