"Great place for cycle tourists - Booking and check-in were completely hassle-free. A large meadow is available for tent campers. There are plenty of seating options there, some of which are covered. There is also a recreation room. Ideal for cyclists or hikers. The sanitary facilities are modern, spacious and very well maintained.

"Centrally located campsite - Campsite not far from the center of St. Johann. You have to apologize for arriving at this campsite as soon as you register. Very unfriendly operator. Hours of waiting until the registration desk is occupied. Sanitary facilities clean, showers 1€ despite ACSI. No bread roll service, no information material from the region and only cash payment (without invoice) possible.

"Very nice campsite - Owners very friendly, access road enough space, underground meadow, electricity and cable TV, unfortunately no water directly at the pitch, sanis super clean and modern, even children's bathroom with showers, unfortunately with 1 € coins - but forever time to shower, wellness area is also there but we were not there, Barbecue areas with covered seating, playground with trampoline, it is very quiet, many permanent campers, and when we were there almost only Belgians and Nl, almost no Austrian word heard, many campers in the high season, in winter directly a stop for the ski bus that goes to Alpendorf every 15 min - 18.00!; for hiking the Geisterberg is recommended for big and small, we stayed 4 nights and will certainly come back in winter!

Our newly-built (1993) campsite "Camping Kastenhof" is ideally located at the southern end of "St. Johann im Pongau" - in the centre of Salzburg´s sports paradise "Sportwelt Amadé". It is very quiet and sunny and next to the river Salzach. …The cycleway "Tauernradweg" goes along the river. We provide an area for your tents with a comfortable log cabin as well as the opportunity of grilling. The centre of St. Johann is only 1km away and easy to reach on foot. The ski-bus stop (free of charge) is also nearby. Own area for tents; barbecue area with cabin; a room to keep your skis; tumble dryer; bed and breakfast and apartments; all the groceries for breakfast are available at the campsite; another place to go shopping is 500m away; The campsite is located at the cycleway "Tauern-Radweg"; ski-bus (free of charge) stops 50m away; centrally located in the sports paradise "Sportwelt Amadé"; you can reach all skiing areas of the region within 20 minutes!
