"Beautiful place in a beautiful area - We've been here several times when passing through on our way to the south of France. The grass pitches are large and pleasantly shady. We had the feeling of being alone by a small stream, although the very well-kept sanitary facilities, the pool and the children's playground were in the immediate vicinity. You can't hear anything from the neighboring village either. But there are birdsong and storks chattering. The restaurant with friendly staff serves baguettes and croissants in the morning. The surrounding area, the Dombe, is charming with many etangs and a park for bird lovers. It is worth making a detour to nearby Perouges, a medieval town.

"Nice place for a spontaneous vacation - we are here for 3 nights. spontaneous arrival was possible without any problems, but I had booked via the app, a pool and next to and the municipal outdoor pool right next door for free use, perfect for the kids, who always need water somehow

"Beautiful camping in Dombes - We stayed at the campsite at the end of May/beginning of June. The general impression is very good, everything is well-kept and clean. The reception is also friendly and everything is explained to you. The "le parc d'oiseaux" is within walking distance and you can buy discounted tickets at the reception. You can also walk to restaurants and bakeries in the village in 7 minutes. There is also an Aldi and a Super U a little further on where you can do your shopping. At the reception you can pre-order bread and croissants for the following morning. There is also a restaurant next to the reception. The pitches are well maintained and spacious. Take a converter with you: The electricity connections are mostly French. Standard.

"Super clean and absolutely good value - We landed in Villars des Dombes on our way through from the Côte d'Azur. We wanted to take a look at the vaunted lake landscape. The region is not geared towards hiking. The detour from Lyon via Bouge en Bresse is worthwhile for those passing through. The campsite is the cleanest we've stayed at in two weeks. Everything is very nicely done. Totally clean! And the parking spaces for the motorhome are very spacious on grass. Sunny or shady. We could choose our own spot on arrival. The lady at reception was extremely friendly and courteous. Any time again.

"Beautiful natural place - The 5-hectare site is mostly unspoilt and the generously grassed pitches are easy to access. There is a simple swimming pool, a well-equipped recreation room and a small restaurant on the site. The mixed sanitary block was clean during our stay. Internet is free at the reception. I recommend this site with a clear conscience! Good location for visiting the Parc des Oiseaux.

Profil

Birdwatchers are in their element in the area around Le Nid du Parc campsite: this flat area with numerous shallow lakes in the east of France is home to around 400 species of birds. The scenic beauties in this region …are charming, unspoilt and varied. An ideal area for those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts. The campsite therefore attracts an international audience. The grounds along the Chalaronne (swimming is not allowed) are laid out like a park. Deciduous and coniferous trees provide shade, and hedges around the spacious pitches ensure plenty of privacy. If you want to rent something, there is a wide selection: (lodge and tipi tents, hikers' cabins and circus wagons). The campsite has an inflatable swimming pool and the municipal indoor swimming pool is right next to the campsite. There is a beautiful swimming lake about 30 km away. There is plenty to do at the campsite. Enjoy the playground, the sports field or the bad weather facilities (with TV and games). There is a tennis court next to the campsite. Are you lacking inspiration? Children can take part in the entertainment and there are excursion programmes for adults. Are you satisfied and exhausted after a day's holiday? In the evening, you can regularly take part in a (themed) dinner, a barbecue or a music concert. You can order fresh bread every day. There is a supermarket 1.5 km away on the outskirts of the village. There is a restaurant on the site with a small menu offering snacks and take-out meals. For a more extensive dinner, just go to the nearby Villars-les-Dombes.
