- Wolfgang H.October 2024PozitivnoGreat location high above the city - some of the pitches offer mega views over the city and the sea.NegativnoI would describe the sanitary facilities as borderline and actually unacceptable given the relatively high accommodation prices.Great location - moderate space infrastructureWhat can I say? Rarely have I been so ambivalent about a campsite. On the one hand, our pitch is more beautiful than ever - great views over Menton and the sea.
On the other hand, the sanitary facilities are so borderline that I would normally never pay almost €50 per night.
But although this is the... case, we stayed three nights instead of just one because Menton is a wonderful town and you can get anywhere from here by train or bus.
In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves whether the compromises in the sanitary facilities are acceptable due to the good location.Samodejno prevedeno. - Karin S.September 2022PozitivnoThe location is good, but only if you get one of the upper seats. Then you also have a good view of Menton and the seaNegativnoThe sanitary buildings are unkempt and dirty. Cleanliness seems to be a foreign concept. No toilet seats available and only in the sanitary building at the reception are the toilets separated by gender.Location, view and the friendliness of the staff are the only positive thingsYou have to book online beforehand, we hadn't done this and then it wasn't possible on site as there was no internet or mobile phone service. The employee then kindly checked us in. The price in the low season was €46/night in a camper van for 2 people. (However, there are hardly any other campsites... close to Monaco) Totally overpriced for what is on offer. 300 steps take you directly to the center of Menton, the train station, bus stop, shops and the casino. Monte-Carlo, Nice and Cannes are easily accessible by train. Menton is also a beautiful little town.
We actually wanted to explore a lot by bike, but there are no cycle paths and we didn't want to use the busy coastal road. So we took the bus and train (rather cheap - €22 for 2 people return from Menton to Nice). The pizzeria on the square is recommended - also with a nice view, but only opens in the evening.
We were disturbed by the run-down, unkempt, dirty sanitary buildings; for the price, you should expect more cleanliness here.
The access road is not easy, but it was fine with our 7 m camper van. Oncoming traffic showed consideration and waited or reversed until we passed.Samodejno prevedeno. - Elke M.March 2022PozitivnoOpen in the very early or late low season as some places in the regionNegativnoDifficult to approach, very clearly overpriced without any considerationHeavily overpricedWe couldn't find another campsite here that was open in March. That's the only reason we chose this place.
When approaching with a camper van or caravan, you have to hope that no large vehicles come towards you (none did). However, the access road is not closed and there were also several motorhomes... and us with a caravan on the site. After all, the site's homepage states that access is difficult for large vehicles.
There was only a small sanitary building (brand "Do it yourself") open at the reception - but it was OK.
We found EUR 49 in mid-March (EUR 36 pitch with trailer, 1 person, 2nd person EUR 7, electricity EUR 6) to be completely unreasonable. This made it easier to decide to leave it at one night.
We did not manage to make proper use of the free Wi-Fi offered.
We would not stay here again.Samodejno prevedeno. - Christine A.September 2017PozitivnoMenton, Monaco and Roquebrunne are within easy reachNegativnoNo supply on siteExceptional viewThe location of the site is somewhat remote, so you need to plan your supplies well. The access road is closed to motorhomes and those with trailers. However, this is easy to do with a bus. Since there is a new sanitary building, you don't have to use the old one, which is really horrible! However, the... new building could be cleaned more often. The site is currently being renovated, but we didn't find the construction workers annoying. The olive trees were not cut down as claimed, but merely pruned. They are already growing again and new trees have also been planted. Unfortunately, the pitches are a bit uneven and there is some broken glass lying around. We didn't notice a noisy pizzeria, but it may have been closed. Therefore not much traffic. The owner is very friendly. All in all, we were satisfied!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Ulrike W.June 2017PozitivnoGreat location, good starting point for visiting Monte Carlo, Nice etc., as the train station is relatively close.NegativnoSanitary facilities in very poor condition.Phenomenal location, phenomenally old and dirty sanitary facilitiesWe were passing through for two nights. Unfortunately, the olive trees are old but quite pruned, so it is certainly very hot in summer. The view is great, but there are no facilities on site apart from a restaurant that is only open in the evening. The access road is closed to motorhomes and caravans,... but can be driven with a compact motorhome. The sanitary facilities are miserable. Hot water only for showers, everything else cold. The walk down to the town takes about 15 minutes, the walk back is correspondingly longer (about 25 minutes)Samodejno prevedeno.
- R. J.August 2016PozitivnoGreat view, beautiful grounds under olivesNegativnoDirty and foul-smelling sanitary facilities Market value by the guests of the pizzeriaDoes not work at allPhenomenal view. Terraces under olive trees: great sanitary facilities, unclean, large areas of black mold on the ceilings. You don't like showering here. The toilets also smell all over the campsite. In addition, the well-frequented pizzeria located below the campsite is accessed via the campsite; the... pizzeria guests' vehicles park on the lowest terrace of the campsite. It is noisy. What a shame for an otherwise beautiful site with some spectacular views. We certainly won't be back a second time.Samodejno prevedeno.
- camus m.July 2016PozitivnomanyNegativnoothers not taken care of by the many!of courseOf course, there are snoring Germans, farting mothers-in-law, children with full diapers, sunburned redheads, families who feel at home everywhere, guys who play bowls and forget about their wives, forgotten children, nice couples cuddling up to each other, billing errors from time to time, the sea at... your feet when the tent is open, Dutch people living self-sufficiently without ever buying anything, but isn't it all just camping vacations! So stop complaining and live happily !!!!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Sofia F.June 2016Nice location but bad management and attention to the bill!My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in early June with a tent. The pitches were in a field of olive trees with partial sea views. The sanitary facilities were poorly maintained and smelly. It certainly was not inviting to take a shower. But the thing that puzzled us most was the management. The manager... is often absent during reception opening hours (so much so that we had to wait until late afternoon to pitch our tent). Payment is made upon arrival, and only later did we realize that in the receipt in addition to the tent and car (actually ours) there had been added the cost of a camping van. It seems strange that the manager did not notice the mistake since the couple with tent combination staying two nights will probably be the most popular. On departure, at the reception desk opening time, we point out the mistake to the husband who tells us that we have to wait for his wife to return in the late afternoon because her PC access code is different and therefore he cannot reimburse us. Obviously not wanting to lose a day, we leave with a bitter taste in our mouths and convinced that we have been cheated.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Peter P.September 2015PozitivnoProximity to Menton and the Cote d AzurNegativnoReception not reliably manned adventurous approachCPin an extraordinary situationWe stayed at the campsite for one night as a transit site. Very nicely laid out terraces with ancient olive trees in between; little view of the town as the treetops are in the way, but still a great location. The site is officially forbidden for caravans and camper vans! The largest vehicles were VW... bus-sized. Narrow, winding, steep access road impossible to drive on for larger vehicles - even without oncoming traffic! In the primitive sanitary block there was only one toilet open for men and women - you don't want to have to clean. For washing up, washing clothes and at the washbasins only cold water. When we wanted to pay on the day of departure, we had to wait over an hour for the receptionist to come to the site at 10:00 am. It's just a municipal site without much commitment. Very quiet at night at the end of September but still busy with a predominantly German crowd.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Robert S.August 2013Beautifully situated campsite. Ideal for trips to the Côte. Unfortunately no motorhomes allowed since 2013. a great pity.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Grzegorz Z.June 2013Modest, inexpensive camping, plenty of space for tents. Rather for cars and without trailers. Located on a mountain , steep access, very narrow and winding road. Not far for a trip to Monte CarloSamodejno prevedeno.

- Stephan E.September 2012Beautifully situated above Menton. Laid out in terraces. Old olive trees. No facilities (bakery or similar) nearby. You have to use the stairs ;-) Possibility to visit the pizzeria in the evening (which is also worthwhile). Gladly again for max. 3 days for sightseeing.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Michal B.July 2012The campsite is located above Menton itself, with spectacular views of both the city and, of course, the sea. But be aware that for pedestrians this means a nice line of stairs :D. These stairs make it easy to get from the campsite to the city centre, directly to the bus station, where, for example, a bus runs along the coast via Monaco to Nice.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Lukasz W.July 2010Quiet and high altitude camping where you can always find a free place for a tent. There are old trees on the grounds which adds to the charm. However, it does not have a direct view of the sea, which is to the great detriment of the location. Sanitary facilities give a little to be desired but it is not the worst.Samodejno prevedeno.
