- D. C.July 2024PozitivnoLocation, familiar atmosphereNegativnoSanitary very narrow and not well "combined" (with sinks in one room...)Nice little campsite without the hustle and bustleBelonging to the municipality of Doussard, the small and manageable campsite "Le Taillefer" is located at the southern end of the lake in the village of Chaparon. It is about 600 m down the hill to the lakeshore, but unfortunately there is usually no public access or bathing area here (the nearest lido... is in Doussard).
The reception was extremely friendly and English-speaking. The course is run by Madame Brigitte and her sister and after a few minutes you are practically part of the family.
The pitches are all on grass and many also offer plenty of shade. However, the best pitches are on the back lawn (no shade): here you have the most beautiful atmosphere and even a view of the lake!
The sanitary facilities are quite old, but clean. However, all the cubicles (WC, shower) are very cramped, so a taller man can sometimes get in the way, but it's just about OK. The showers are separated from the tiny anteroom by a curtain... that's not really done like that anymore. The dishwashing/laundry area is also in the same small room as the (unisex) toilets. Not a great solution either...
There is no store (the nearest small store is in Doussard), but there is a bread roll service that can be ordered in advance.
Just 200m from the campsite is the "Voie Verte", a great cycle path that circles the entire lake on a former railroad line. Annecy (beautiful & crowded) is only 15 km away on this well-developed cycle path. You can also hike from the campsite to the Montagne d'Entrevernes (1,200 m altitude), which towers just behind it.
If you don't like the hustle and bustle of the busy vacation campsites by the lake (with their slides and tralala), this is the right place to spend a few relaxed and relatively quiet days in a good location. The price is fair for what is on offer.Samodejno prevedeno. - Wolfgang B.September 2018PozitivnoPeace and quiet with a fantastic panoramaNegativnoDepending on the pitch, the strone columns are a long way away.Peace and a panorama worth seeingThe quietly located, simple campsite was the best place for us to relax in wonderful weather. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but always clean. The operators are friendly and speak English. You have a free choice of pitches. There are terraced pitches with and without shade. The electricity... connection is a long way from some pitches. There is a very good cycle path to Annecy, a town worth seeing right on the lake. If you like it simple and want to relax, this is the place for you.Samodejno prevedeno.
