"One overnight stay was enough - We had actually planned to stay 2 nights because of the positive reviews. We spontaneously canceled the plan and moved on the next day. The edge of the lake was full of algae, it was located in a red, desolate wasteland and we didn't like it. Perhaps interesting for sailors, but that's not us. And for hiking? There are certainly better starting holes. The site is terraced, the pitches (occupancy was max. 30%) are large enough, not all are straight, many are slightly sloping. Water is only available at taps. The 2 sanitary blocks (unisex) are functional, but very rustic and rather outdated. There is really no joy there. There's bread service in the morning. The snack bar was closed, of course. We paid a modest €16. Next time we'll skip the place and drive on😁🥳

"Beautiful place right on the lake - We stayed at the campsite for a week to go hiking in the Cevennes. The site itself is located directly on the lake and is partly laid out on terraces, so that you often have a direct view of the lake from the back rows. Access is very easy. The A75 is in the immediate vicinity, but you can neither hear nor see it. The terraces of the site are not particularly steep and there is enough space so that even inexperienced drivers can maneuver their caravan or motorhome. I cannot confirm the comment of another user regarding problems with access. There was a very pleasant mix of families, couples and youth groups on the site. It is sometimes lively, but never unpleasantly loud. Most of the campers are from France, a larger group from Belgium, a few Dutch people and even fewer Germans. We found this very pleasant. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and are cleaned regularly. Typical for the region, you would sometimes wish it was 'a little cleaner', or would like to have glasses in the toilet, but in our opinion that is part of a vacation in this region and you can manage. There is a supervised bathing area at the lake (in high season). The beach and lake bed are pebbly, but the water is very clean and pleasant. Boats, surfboards and SUPs are available for hire in a small marina right next to it. The snack bar on the beach is not the cheapest, but the pizzas are very good. What we noticed in particular (and that's why the Wi-Fi is also mentioned as an advantage and disadvantage): The absence of fast internet access can have a very relaxing and decelerating effect. We have read a lot here. Above all, we noticed that there were large groups of young people who were actually talking to each other and not just staring at their cell phones. We felt very comfortable here and would come again.

"Wonderful place at the "red" lake - The place is not a place with wellness and all the other slides for all the children - but a very nice place with a wonderful view for adults. Sanitary not 5 stars, but 5 stars cleaned. . .

"Superbly located campsite - Great panorama, the lake invites you to swim, the pitches are sometimes difficult to access for the inexperienced. In my opinion, this campsite is an insider tip. I'm surprised that there are no reviews on the portal yet
