- Anja B.September 2023PozitivnoFriendly staff Clean sanitary facilities Location directly on the Rhine Fair priceNegativnoToo few toilets and showersBeautiful campsite in a perfect locationIt was our first time at this campsite and we really liked it.
You drive up to the barrier, take a card, look for a pitch and then register. Quick and uncomplicated.
The staff are very friendly.
As we arrived at lunchtime, all the pitches right by the water were occupied. However, we found another nice... spot.
There is W LAN for 0.50 euros per day and we had very good reception at our pitch.
The only downside is the number of toilets and showers.
In the main wash house there are 4! toilets and 7 showers in the ladies' area. One of the showers was also broken.
As the place was very full, you sometimes had to queue for quite a long time. This should be urgently improved.
Apart from that, you shouldn't be too sensitive to noise as the trains, ships and the road are very audible, especially at night.
However, this didn't bother us and we will definitely be back.Samodejno prevedeno. - Riitta M.August 2023PozitivnoOn the banks of the Rhine, large campsite, view of the river, grass field, opposite Loreley. Nice reception, as long as you remember to press the button at the gate. You can choose a place, after which you pay at the reception. Friendly caravans around. Good shop - even caravan supplies, restaurant across the road. New toilets and showers, free of charge. Car maintenance Ok. You can order bread for the morning.NegativnoReally full in August, but we got in without a reservation at 4 p.m. Few electric places in relation to the area's size. The electricity works well if you can get a spot, and up to 70 m of cable is enough. The spots are not limited much, so each camper's own ideas are the guide.campingplatz LoreleyblickOne of the nicest places in Germany. Rhine and greenery. Been here before in 2015. The area has been renewed. A lot of points for reception, even if you don't understand what button to press. Clarifying the instructions to the gate would make it easier for those arriving. Electric points should definitely be increased.
- Christina K.April 2023PozitivnoThe beautiful viewNegativnoPaid an unbelievable 17.00 for electricity for 1 night. Noise from ships and trainsElectricity consumption rip-offOn arrival our power column did not work, according to the groundsman we should simply connect to the neighboring column. It took forever until that worked. The groundsman didn't bother to just go along and have a look at the whole thing.
We only stayed one night as the noise from the boats and the train... was very annoying at night.
The shock came at the checkout.... 17.00 € for electricity.
In comparison: we only had to pay €8.00 for 2 nights at the next campsite! Absolute cheek.Samodejno prevedeno. - Stephan S.October 2022PozitivnoTop location, very beautifully situatedNegativnoSanitary very dirty. Look up when showering, boohoo. Also the shower houses very dirty and moldy corners. Supply and disposal an imposition. A single dirt hole. Dirty corners everywhere, disorder. Zero organization on the pitch. Unkempt pitches.Very nice C-course directly on the RhineA beautiful place right on the Rhine. The best conditions for a feel-good factor.
But unfortunately the cleanliness and tidiness leaves a lot to be desired.
Sanitary very dirty, moldy and also nice shower curtains. If you look up while showering, you only have one wish, get out of here quickly!!!
Everywhere... on the place dirty spots and disorder.
Supply and disposal is an imposition, impudence. Everything is full of dirt and it smells disgusting.
I praise Croatian campsites for that. I've never experienced anything like it there.
What a pity. But here the economic aspect seems to be absolutely paramount.
Unfortunately, it works because of the location!Samodejno prevedeno. - E K.May 2022PozitivnoThe location of the campsite is unbeatable. Great view of the Rhine, St. Goar within walking distance. Hiking and cycling tours can be started perfectly from the campsite. Mini market, cake and bread roll service available.NegativnoWe arrived on Ascension Day and had some trouble finding a pitch in the afternoon. The reception staff had no idea how full the place was. Overall it was very full, queue to check out, queue to get bread rolls. Only one sanitary building. Far too few showers and toilets for such a large site. There are individual small houses scattered around the site, each with one shower and one toilet. Not recommended, they are very old. A shower curtain is not really hygienic either. The operator of the site should be happy to use his income to modernize the sanitary building and build another one. It was also packed when we were washing up. We therefore went to one of the small houses. It was very dirty there and there was only cold water for washing up.XxGreat location, okay for 2 nights. xxxxxxx xxxxxxx. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Peter W.September 2021PozitivnoWonderful landscapeNegativnoThere were none where we were standingA beautiful placeWe weren't actually as disappointed with the pitch as some of the users before us who have vented their anger here. We were close to the central sanitary facilities and they were modern and always clean. However, some electrical distributors are really far apart, so that sometimes a lot of cable length... is necessary. The staff was very friendly and also the bread service and the mini store are very good!
The background noise from two railroad tracks, road and shipping is of course present, but also bearable. At night it minimizes itself anyway.
There was no shortage of pitches at our time, although the site was full.
The bottom line - a site with a wonderful backdrop opposite the Loreley and a view of the Rhine straits below !!!Samodejno prevedeno. - Thorsten B.May 2021PozitivnoThe unobstructed view of the Rhine. It's simply a beautiful area and directly opposite is the Lorelei..... it doesn't get any better than this. The price is a bit expensive, but reasonableNegativnoThe price is a little too expensiveDirectly on the Rhine opposite the LoreleiThe campsite has an outstanding location. Bread roll service available
We enjoyed the beautiful area and felt very comfortable.Samodejno prevedeno. - Martin D.September 2020Pozitivnofantastic locationNegativnoRhine, road and railroad lines on both sides - it never gets really quiet, but that applies to all campsites in the Middle Rhine ValleyCamping in the Middle Rhine ValleyCampsite in several rows along the Rhine with a great view of the Loreley.
The sanitary building has not yet been completed - but the sanitary facilities are already in top condition and very clean.Samodejno prevedeno. - Marlies G.September 2020PozitivnoThe view of the Rhine and the Loreley viewNegativnoToo few and unclean showers.Once is enough....Too few and unclean showers. You have to look for the space and sometimes fight for it. Everything close together... Queuing at the kiosk, next to a building with scaffolding... Not a nice atmosphere...Samodejno prevedeno.
- Alfred G.September 2020PozitivnoThe situationNegativnosimply too loud due to the railroad. But that's not the site's fault. Far too few sanitary facilities for the number of guests. Very unkempt (better not maintained) site. Permanent building site at the entrance for years.Corona does not seem to existUnfriendly staff. On arrival, you have to look for a parking space in compliance with the corona-related distance rules. The entire site is searched for a parking space with the vehicles. The staff have no overview and are therefore unable to help. The last blade of grass was advertised as a parking... space. The highlight was that a wheel loader was parked at the construction site so that a WOMO could still be parked there. The cash register went bang.
Checking out was only possible from 10 am. Of course with the camping unit fully packed in front of the barrier. Just don't waste a cent, as it could take another half an hour to lose money.
Distance rules only existed in the registration area.
Cleaning of the sanitary facilities only from 10 am. But then we sat down and had a smoke. Everything looked accordingly with the occupancy density.
Mr. Spahn should get smart here in the fight against Corona.Samodejno prevedeno. - Paula H.August 2020PozitivnoBeautiful viewNegativnoSanitary blocks on the site too few and too dirty. Shower and toilet in one cubicle -> long queues.Beautiful viewWe liked it here again on our second visit.
The view of the Loreley is perfect.Samodejno prevedeno. - Jörg M.July 2020PozitivnoThe view of the Rhine and Loreley. A campsite attendant went out of his way to organize a longer power cable for me.NegativnoTrain noise all night. Overcrowded pitches even during Corona. New campers are sent to the pitch at 9 am to look for a pitch. There should be a distance of 3m, but that doesn't always fit with so many motorhomes and caravans. When checking out, we were told that we had received an information sheet and that we could only check out from 10am. Due to the cash payment there was no money available the evening before, but from 8:30 new people are allowed to go hunting for pitches.... .unfriendly and inflexible staff on site. Power box was 40m away, unfortunately cable shortage of about 5-10m, so self-sufficient standing for one night and get on one of the last free places!Impossibly crowded and cash onlyThe campsite did not live up to its reputation. Pitch search arbitrary, distance rules 3m only partially respected. Lousy treatment at check-out, negative also only cash payment...A grade 5Samodejno prevedeno.
- silke S.July 2020PozitivnonothingNegativnoWC and showers really disgustingly dirty, distances are not kept in any way. They let far too many cars and motorhomes onto the site and the staff are very unfriendly. Fortunately there are others!!! In addition, only cash payment possible.Never again!Dirty showers and toilets, far too full, distances are not kept. Unfriendly staff, during the day they tell you to drive in and look for a place. Even if there are no more places, they have no overview. Never again!!! Clearly a grade 6 and the train passes by every five minutes all night long. terrible place. profit is made here with nothing.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Jürgen H.June 2020PozitivnoDogs allowed, clean sanitary facilities, lots of greenery.NegativnoQuite expensive, currently night construction site on the railroad track directly behind the CP. Very noisy at night. Few garbage cans on the site.Very nice CP on the Rhine. This was our 2nd time here as the first time the "Rhine in Flames" event took place and unfortunately we didn't get a place. Nice place, a little expensive but still acceptable for the location. Despite Corona, the campers are close together here but the hygiene rules are strictly adhered to.
We would definitely come again.Samodejno prevedeno. - Günther N.October 2019PozitivnoThe camoing course is one kilometer long with a great view of the Lorely and the Rhine.NegativnoTwo railroad lines to the right and left of the Rhine, so it is very noisy at times.-beautiful campsite in the Middle Rhine ValleyA very beautiful campsite in the World Heritage Site. The view of the Lorely rock is fantastic, as are the many Rhine boats that pass through the narrow section of the Lorely. The staff are very friendly and the sanitary facilities are clean. There is also a small store in reception. Unfortunately, the peace and quiet is occasionally disturbed by the railroad on the left and right bank of the Rhine.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Julia E.September 2019PozitivnoSights in the immediate vicinityNegativnoToo loud, seats at Rhein in Flammen far too narrow, as they are separated by a tape barrier and far too few toilets. Too loud! Not recommended for the Rhine in Flames! We were there in September 2019 and absolutely cannot recommend this place during this time (Rhine in Flames). Completely overcrowded and crammed together, also far too few toilets.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Armin D.June 2019PozitivnoHistoric location directly on the Rhine, reasonably priced and no reservation necessary (except Rhine in Flames)NegativnoRailroad noise, partly renovation backlog, 6A power system outdatedNice location, unfortunately very noisy due to rail trafficWe visited the square for the first time at Whitsun 2019 for a Kelly Family concert on the Loreley opposite. The square is located at one of the most famous spots on the Rhine, but this is also its shortcoming. It is the narrowest part of the Rhine Valley, with a busy railroad line on both sides of the... river. The site is directly on the Rhine, a very long stretch. There is a large sanitary building that doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, as it has probably been an unfinished building site for years. Inside, however, the sanitary facilities are fine. There are a few small sanitary blocks with toilets and showers along the campsite, but some of them don't look very well maintained, e.g. there are no windows. The pitches are not parceled out, but are large enough. The electricity connections are too far apart, outdated and only fused with 6A. There are also only a few water connections and the waste water and chemical drains are too far away. The positive impressions include a reasonable price, reservations are not normally necessary as there are no permanent campers on site. If the site were a little better maintained, it would be even more interesting. The location is actually perfect, the noise from the railroad is more bearable than in the even narrower Moselle valley.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Jeepers-Palace 2.May 2019PozitivnoBeautifully situated, super idyllic placeNegativnoI can't think of anythingSuper idyllic place.Super idyllic place. Great starting point for day trips on foot, by bike, car or boat. Free choice of pitches, friendly site operators. Despite the Rhine in flames, clean toilets (several distributed on the site and constantly cleaned), electricity boxes far apart. Long cable drum is mandatory. At events... such as Rhine in Flames, the site is really full and the cable length is often insufficient. .... short conversation with the neighbor and you "hang" yourself on his power distributor. All feasible if no large consumers such as air conditioning or electric heating are running. Regarding "noise pollution": Anyone vacationing directly on the Rhine should know that there is both rail and ship traffic (noise). We didn't notice it during the day and didn't really hear it at night. It didn't bother us. It is often louder in the city. We've been to this place in spring, summer, fall and winter..... Always beautiful. We will continue to go there. Everything was OK again at Easter 2017 Short break in July 2017 ..... Nothing to complain about despite "constant rain" Always clean toilet blocks. Short vacation in July 2018 Still nothing to complain about Short vacation in May 2019 Despite a full pitch, the sanitary facilities were still clean. Some motorhome drivers didn't believe that the pitch was occupied and squeezed onto the last visible green, regardless of whether the exhaust was blowing directly into the small tent. When we came back from an excursion, a motorhome had already positioned itself so close to our awning that we could no longer use one entrance. Another one tried to stand right in front of us, but failed because the camper van was too far onto the road. But we will still come back.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Elke S.March 2019PozitivnoBeautiful location, great saunaNegativnoNoise due to construction work on the railroad line (during the week)Beautiful locationThe view of the Loreley rock is great. Ships and trains are easy to hear. The only disturbance was the construction work on the railroad line directly behind the site on Friday (alarm for every train). However, the alarm was only sounded until Friday evening, thankfully not on Saturday and Sunday. The ruined building above the reception and sanitary building is a pity. It was great to use the sauna for little money.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Mandy R.October 2018PozitivnoGreat for hiking, great viewNegativnoNo realThe place has a beautiful locationWe stayed at the campsite at the end of October and felt very comfortable. We did a lot of things that are easy to reach from St. Goar. We went on beautiful hiking tours, so the location is also great for that. We were in the front row and had a great view of the Loreley curve. The toilets are not the... newest, but they are okay. The cleaning lady seemed to prefer smoking to maybe removing a few cobwebs. She could clean a little better and be more careful. The reception was always manned and the staff were friendly, except for one lady, but I spoke to her about it. We will definitely be back. Regarding the noise, we got used to it after two days, but we are also not that susceptible.Samodejno prevedeno.
