only 2 sanitary blocks on the entire site. these are not designed for campers as there are otherwise only chalets on the site. No washbasins available. No mirrors available.

One thing still goes in
mobile homes and "luxury comfort" tents have been set up in Mayotte according to this motto. A few campers fit in between. No charm, no green spaces, hardly any air to breathe but the noise of the neighbors up close. We didn't recognize our pitch as such when we first saw it, but thought it was just... a parking space between two mobile homes. The beach by the lake was littered with cigarette butts and otherwise not clean or well maintained. The water is so shallow that it is only suitable for babies to splash around in. Far out where you could swim there are surfers, kiters, motorboats and other sea monsters jealously defending their territory. That leaves the pool. The indoor pool, swimming pool, whirlpool and swimming pool are all very nice. But do you go to Aquitaine for that? We didn't try the restaurant with its "tasty" fast food offerings, nor the beauty salon, the arcade and the fitness area. The supermarket was okay. The entertainment in the evenings was low level but loud. However, around 10:00 h they realized what was going on and quieted down. The sanitary building near us was structurally at the end, poorly maintained (some facilities did not work) and above all not cleaned for a long time. There were traces of many previous users under the toilet lid and in the washbasins. We had to go to the central building far away to wash up. After 2 days, the nearby sanitary facilities were completely closed. So we also had to walk a long way to the toilet and shower. We had to pay for 3 days in advance on arrival, otherwise we would have left after one night. We have rarely felt so uncomfortable on a campsite.

Too mercantile. Chasing profits. Far below what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.
Not recommended
Unworthy of a 5-star resort. You have to pay for all the activities, and the security staff are very unpleasant with the young teenagers, whom they take for hooligans. The campsite is noisy at night, the restaurant is expensive and the meals are really, really not good! Where did they get their 5 stars??? Incomprehensible! I'd advise against it.

Very large site with lots of activities for children and teenagers, even in May. Sanitary facilities not so great. Shower drain with shared waste water channel leads to standing in the waste water of the neighboring cabin. Shared toilets for women and men, no urinal. Close to Lake Biscarrosse, to the Atlantic Biscarrosse Plage approx. 8 km, store. Restaurant, large swimming pool on site. You can take part in life, but also find peace and quiet.
