It is simply top.NegativnoNoneA quiet place for young and old to enjoy in harmonyThe campsite is very clean and very quiet. There is a lot of friendliness among each other, the interpersonal helpfulness is law. Everyone observes the 10 p.m. bedtime. We were there with 2 Siberian huskies and it is very friendly there. We will go there again on vacation, it's like coming home. I told... my children and my 3 grandchildren about it and now they really hope that we will get a parking space. We would definitely like to thank Mr. Petermann for the friendly service. And not to forget dear, good Ute. The great staff who keep everything clean. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ to all of you at the Nidda Stausee campsite. Ps. Children are always welcome and the playground there is mega. Many people think that it could be cheaper, but the campsite is very cheap and...very nice. Everyone else who wants to complain should really think about what they are saying. We thought it was mega good. Thank you Mr. Petermann and thanks to the whole team. Simply brilliant. 💯👍✨️

Jörg S.July 2019PozitivnoBeautiful location with lake nearbyNegativnoNoisy street next door, no direct access to the lake/playground, only cash payment at receptionSplash and humWe were with 2 adults and a WoWa with awning from 03.07.2019 to 07.07.2019 at the campsite "Am Nidda-Stausee". Showers and W-LAN are free of charge. The contact by phone was very friendly, a formal reservation was not necessary for the beginning of July. We were even able to arrive outside reception... opening hours and choose a pitch. The site is located on sloping terrain by the lake. In addition to a few platted motorhome pitches, it is difficult to find a flat piece of land, we were able to level out using wedges and had to make do with a few cobblestones for the support base. The pitches, some of which are bordered by hedges, are not particularly large. The site is mainly characterized by permanent campers. The tourist pitches are located in the immediate vicinity of the busy B455, which is quite noisy. The sanitary facilities are adequate for the size of the site, although there is a second wash house at the back of the site. There is a bread roll service on the site, which we did not use. The Greek restaurant on site offered delicious food. The leisure facilities are located by the lake next to the campsite. There is a large playground and various water sports facilities. To get to the lake, you have to leave the campsite through the main gate. We did not find any other passable gates. We were pleased with the many seating options on the site, which is of course particularly interesting for tent campers. Either drive with the camper van to the tapping point or lug uphill and downhill with a watering can. Emptying chemical toilet much too far away and also uphill. The power connection had to be cleared of nettles first. In my opinion, unsuitable for pensioners in a Womo. Too badSamodejno prevedeno.

Nice reception, helpful groundsman.We were there at Whitsun with 12 people who arrived at 7 different times and also left at different times with 3 caravans, a VW camper van and 3 tents. The friendly, quiet and helpful groundsman managed to keep us all close together. Ideal location on the cycle path with a lake for swimmers.Samodejno prevedeno.
Horst M.March 2017Very nice place but not for people with a tentI have to start by saying that I only looked at the site on a day trip and didn't use it. The site is located on a beautiful reservoir with plenty of space for all activities, it would have been brilliant for me if I had found a nice spot for my tent. The pitch for the tents is right at the entrance... and is bordered by a metal fence to the children's playground. The tent pitches are very cool and don't create a romantic tent atmosphere. It's great for permanent campers and very pretty, but not for campers looking for a bit of nature.Samodejno prevedeno.- Tina R.September 2016PozitivnoManageable size, well run, clean facilities, lakeside locationNegativnoA popular excursion destination at the weekend, lively activity on the lake, but we didn't mindTotally cuteWe are not fans of huge pitches, so we immediately felt at home here. The site has 2 clean sanitary buildings, one newer and one older. I don't mind old as long as it's clean. The pitches are big enough. You can swim, paddle, fish, surf or do whatever your heart desires in the reservoir. There is separate... access from the campsite. A large public playground is directly adjacent. The fact that there is no kiosk is not a problem, as you can easily stroll along the lake into the village, where there is a supermarket right at the entrance to the village. Bread roll service is offered by the groundsman. In good weather there is a lakeside café and a small snack bar in front of the campsite with moderate prices. The region has a lot to offer and is a paradise for sports of all kinds.Samodejno prevedeno.

So if you want to let your four-legged friend out properly, you have to get back in the car and go somewhere else.Nice place for a short vacationThe site is beautifully situated in the forest on the Niddastausee, where you can swim very nicely. Very nice manager. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the Greek restaurant as there was only one waiter who was not very attentive and it therefore took an... extremely long time to pay (more than 1/2 hour). Some of the other guests were also quite annoyed. The restaurant has a virtual monopoly here. There is also a café outside the campsite, which we visited and were very happy with. What bothered us at the lake were the speeding cyclists and inline skaters, some of whom regarded the lake path as their personal race track and showed little consideration for pedestrians. The site is not really suitable for long-term camping as there is not much to do here and there are not enough restaurants nearby. There are discounters and supermarkets within driving distance and cooking for yourself is the order of the day here.Samodejno prevedeno.

The pitch therefore... left a lot to be desired. The sanitary facilities were fine, the leisure facilities all around were great! The only downside was that the boat rental advertised on the Schotten website was closed as there was a change of owner and no new staff. The reservoir is good for swimming thanks to the shady slope and DLRG jetty (not manned at the time of our stay). Hiking around the lake and in the surrounding area is also possible. Our children had a lot of fun at the nearby playground and you can take a nice trip around the lake. The canoe we brought with us was also a lot of fun. The space was absolutely sufficient for our camper van. The tent campers are currently separated from the public area... by a construction fence, which doesn't seem too great. The groundsman was absolutely friendly and helpful. He also took the side of our children who had been playing with water balloons at a water point (at 30 degrees) and were chased away by another guest because they had splashed around too much and got the motorhome wet. I hope it never rains if the motorhome is so sensitive ;-) Well, all in all it was a very nice weekend with a few minor flaws!Samodejno prevedeno.

There's probably something everywhere, but I don't want to think about that. :-)It was so nice and I would love to come back....The site is beautifully situated on the lake and you can spend the whole day by the water. Despite the large number of people, you don't step on each other's toes, as you can also find a spot on the other side of the lake. There is a restaurant right on the lake, which is lovingly run by a young couple.... They are very friendly and welcoming and, above all, the food is really delicious and has something for everyone. I give the groundskeeper the maximum number of stars, but there could be many more. Totally nice, helpful, not intrusive and always available if there's anything wrong. Even asked again on the day of departure if everything was ok. Well, what can I say: We were there 9 days ago and we're going again next weekend. PS: I was camping alone with my son (5) and our dog. Somewhat negative: no shopping facilities on the site. Pitches a bit small and uneven. Otherwise we can't say anything bad. Bread roll service via the groundsman. Direct... lake access from the pitch separated by a gate, only accessible to permanent campers. Otherwise a very quiet site. Children's playground right next to the site. The sanitary building is quite old, but clean and well maintained. The groundsman is super nice and helpful and can be contacted by cell phone outside of working hours.
