Sanitary facilities were clean and bright.Negativnoit is a rather expensive place. The night noise from the highway and train was clearly audible.Beautiful campingWe stayed at the campsite for one night each for the outward and return journey. We had a lot of traffic through Lugano on Friday evening and for this reason we arrived a little later, but that was no problem at all... The journey through the narrow tunnel at the beginning was a bit of a challenge the... first time, but we mastered it with a 7m and 3.20 vehicle tip top.
The pitches at the front of the lake are large enough and fairly straight. The sanitary facilities are clean and bright and fulfill their purpose (toilet paper available). There were also washing machines and sinks but we did not need them. I can't say anything about the store as we didn't need it. The restaurant is small and fine with local specialties which we liked and prices were okey.
The lake area was clean and tidy and the children were able to have a quick swim. In the morning we had a visit from the ducks. It is easy to reach. The reception was very friendly. We were able to leave the caravan attached. On the one hand, the campsite is in a great location, right on Lake Lugano. On the other hand, unfortunately, there is the highway and the railroad line. Conclusion for us: ideal for a stopover, but not for a longer vacation. It was too noisy for us.Samodejno prevedeno.

Heinz S.September 2018Pozitivno- Friendly and courteous reception and dedicated staff - directly on the beautiful Lake Lugano - no dogsNegativno- Pitches are turf-less due to the use of plastic sheeting.How to get homeWe have been coming to this paradisiacal site regularly since 1985. Access is also possible for larger motorhomes and caravans. The reception is friendly and courteous. The pitches are mostly flat. Unfortunately, many pitches are ruined by plastic sheeting, i.e. without grass (as a campsite owner I would... forbid this bad habit). The beach is clean but it is advantageous to use it with beach shoes. Sanitary facilities and washing-up area are always very clean. Water supply in the showers without coins and tokens. We stayed here for 10 days in 2018. The noise from the highway and train is limited and you quickly get used to it. We enjoy the campsite, especially because dogs are not allowed here (BRAVO!) The restaurant offers delicious regional dishes. The small store offers the essentials. There is a well-stocked Migros market in Melone.Samodejno prevedeno.

It is located on the edge of the town of Melano directly on the southern shores of Lake Lugano. ##### Access is from the north via junction 51, Melide, then further along the narrow and winding lakeside road with two partly narrow through roads. From... the south, access is via junction 52, Mendriso, which is quite busy. Both approaches to the site are signposted. The entrance to the site is very narrow and steep in places and leads through an equally narrow underpass. ##### We have been staying here for many years on the way over the Alplen and usually book a pitch directly on Lake Lugano in advance. ##### The pitches on the edge of the lake are very nice. ##### The site management and staff are always friendly, the sanitary facilities are simple but clean and adequate. ##### The site is recommended for an overnight stay. ##### Please note! ##### The proximity to the highway and the nearby railroad line (Gotthardt Railway) are two significant sources of noise which, depending on the wind direction, can disturb your sleep. As we didn't arrive until after 9pm, we were allowed to open the barrier and check in and pay the next morning. However, the night was not very restful. The highway is very audible and there are a lot of freight trains throughout the night. The campsite... is located directly on the lake and is very idyllic. Top sanitary facilities! There is a small playground for the children and plenty of space to run around and play. The sanitary facilities were very clean and the reception was very friendly. We could only... hear the highway as noise from the rear pitches. It is probably louder in the front area. Highly recommended...Samodejno prevedeno.- Bianka V.April 2015PozitivnoDirectly on the lakeNegativnoPrice-performance ratio not right Noise from train and carsGreat location, otherwise standardThe campsite can be reached via a narrow cul-de-sac that leads under the railroad bridge (max. clearance height 3.40 m). CP is located directly on Lake Lugano. The lakeside pitches are sunny from morning to evening. You have to cross gravel and stones to swim in the lake. Unfortunately, the highway and... the railroad are clearly audible. An adapter (Switzerland/Italy - flat!!!-) is required for the power supply at the pitch and in the sanitary facilities. The sanitary building is standard, but clean. Hot water is available for showering and washing up. But: The price is steep; €48.50 for an overnight stay in the low season is very high for this site (facilities, offer etc.). Conclusion: Great location, but far too expensive.Samodejno prevedeno.

Few shopping opportunitiesBeautiful CP on the lakeWe were in mid-September on this CP and were also received very friendly. We had looked for a place at the back of the lake and were rewarded with a beautiful panorama! As already described before, the place is next to the highway which did not bother us on the 2nd day because you can get used to something... like that ;-) The sanitary facilities were very clean and the whole place also made a very good impression. We stayed there for 2 nights and used it for transit. Too bad that Switzerland is so expensive.Samodejno prevedeno.

We arrived in the evening shortly before the barrier closed. Nevertheless, we received a very friendly welcome and were given a pitch for one night right by the lake. Despite few customers in the restaurant, the host... of the campsite restaurant gave us a very friendly welcome after 9pm and we were able to order and enjoy perfect pasta. The campsite itself is beautifully situated on the lake and is well maintained. Unfortunately, we couldn't sleep very well due to the noise from the nearby highway. The surrounding landscape is great, there is plenty to see and do. We would go here again. The hospitality of the Pfyl family and their willingness to solve any problems is great A few little things stand out, but they can be solved without problems, such as: There is... no daily updated weather map and internet is expensive - buy additional The sanitary facilities need a spring cure e.g. from October when the place closes feasible. The range in the store could include a few more products. But as already mentioned, nothing earth-shattering. Ute H.June 2011We spent one night there just passing through and had a nice pitch right on the beach. The sanitary facilities are rather medieval, but reasonably clean. There was a restaurant, which I didn't find very inviting. You have to order bread rolls in good time, which unfortunately we were told too late.
