- D. C.April 2023Pozitivnoperfect cycle route to Salamanca directly to the cathedral, value for moneyNegativnoGround conditions on some pitches muddy when wetGood place with perfect cycling connections to SalamancaThe site looks a little dull with its pitches, which are not very well parceled out. Pay attention to the condition of the ground when it's wet, on some pitches you end up standing in a 'mud hole'! The sanitary facilities are ok (toilet paper is not available in the cabins, but only in the anteroom to... 'take away'), the showers are ok. Outside the high season, the English-speaking reception is located in the hotel right next door. There is a small restaurant and a small store with everything you need. It's great that there is a continuous cycle path to Salamanca - the path ends right at the cathedral in the city center! It couldn't be more perfect...
The nearby "Camino Natural Vía de la Plata" is also very suitable for a hike/cycle tour to recover from visiting the city of Salamanca :)
At €19 in the low season, the pitch is also very reasonably priced.
ps. on the pitches near the sanitary building you can see the highway passing by in about 400m but not hear it?! I don't know why, but there wasn't a single sound to be heard!Samodejno prevedeno. - Hartmut B.December 2018PozitivnoTake the bus into town. Special prices for CP visitors in the restaurant (good food for a small price). Quiet, friendly staff.NegativnoUnheated sanitary facilities in winter.Good for a visit to SalmancaWere there for the 2nd time. There are only a few camper vans there in winter. Directly attached to the Hotel Regio. Friendly staff, you can choose your SP. Electricity and W-Lan without any problems. The sanitary facilities are ok, unfortunately not heated in winter. Fast bus connection to the city.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Thomas W.December 2016PozitivnoClose to the city center quite quietNegativnoUnfortunately no heated sanitary facilities during our visitGood transit pointWe visited the campsite in December. We also registered via the hotel reception. It was uncomplicated and friendly. The pitch was generally in a passable condition with no big "mud puddles" or lakes. Hotel restaurant is O.K.. But relatively expensive. This site is ideal for visiting Salamanca. The sanitary... building was cleaned tip top during our stay. Unfortunately not heated. Conclusion: Recommended for a visit to Salamanca or a stopover, for longer stays in winter I would look for another one.Samodejno prevedeno.
- René R.May 2015Ideal for visiting SalamancaThe site is located behind a hotel of the same name. This means that the pitches are so far away from the main road that you don't get any traffic noise. In the off-season, you register at the hotel reception, which is quite correct. The pitch rises from the entrance to the sanitary building at the upper... end. The pitches are a little uneven on very firm ground with some grass. Small trees separate the pitches, but only provide limited shade. The sanitary facilities are fairly clean, but sometimes there is an unpleasant smell. The showers are pleasantly large, but there is no partition to keep your clothes dry. There is a small bar with a kiosk (good selection of baguettes) and a restaurant in the hotel. The swimming pool can also be used. A bus runs directly from the square to Salamanca, but takes 45 minutes to cover the short distance. A cab from the city center to the square costs around EUR 10.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Helmut H.April 2014PozitivnoClose to the city.NegativnoNoneGood place for sightseeingEverything was clean and tidy. Good bus connections and we cycled into the city on good cycle paths.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Marita A.October 2013Campsite attached to a hotel. The pitches are plentiful, laid out in terraces on a slightly sloping site. However, the pitches are mostly straight. The sanitary buildings are large, clean and heated. Catering only via the hotel. There are no shopping facilities at the campsite. Registration is at the... hotel reception in the off-season. Unfortunately, the receptionist made us feel that we were "only" campers. First she dealt with the hotel guests in great detail and only then did she turn to us, with a contemptuous expression and perfect unfriendliness. But the campsite is still good.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Richard M.July 2013The campsite is 7 km from Salamanca, bus stop 100 m from the entrance (timetable on the camping info sheet). Campsite behind hotel of the same name. Swimming pool behind the hotel, accessible from the campsite, is available free of charge. The site is in a quiet location; a large, beautiful, well-maintained... and cleaned sanitary building. At the reception there is a small market with the essentials, as well as a bar with snacks. Vouchers for discounted meals in the hotel available at reception. Restaurant in the hotel offers excellent food, but €3-4 more expensive than in normal restaurants in the city center.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Norbert S.August 2012The campground is located 3-4 km from Salamanca. it is a kind of square with straight roads. places are large enough, shade is there because around each place are trees, but the amount of shade varies from place to place. the campground breathes something of old glory, like the large hotel behind which... it is located. Swimming pool and sunbathing area behind the hotel are spacious can also be used by campers. They are perfectly maintained. at the cafe there are always a few bikers hanging around, but there is a quiet, friendly atmosphere. when we were there the campsite was very empty, and then it looks a bit shabby, but if it is busy that impression will not be there at all. otherwise nice staff. the plumbing is amazing: shiny marble everywhere, 30 sinks in a square, lots of space, kept very clean. in the immediate vicinity is little to do, really a suburb. but Salamanca is nearby and that is a beautiful city.Samodejno prevedeno.
