"Surprise at registration - I have already described this rating under the disadvantages. The space is absolutely overrated and the great designer mirrors in the sanitary area cannot hide the poor taps and the poorly lit washbasins, e.g. for smaller people.

"CP not as indicated near the castle of Chambord - Actual distance to Chambord entrance approx. 7 km. Staff try to sell comfort pitches (plus 10 euros). But they are just like the standard pitches. The pitch is extremely muddy after rain. Hundreds of pigeons on the pitch with corresponding noise and dirt. Sanitary facilities averagely clean. Certainly not a 4 or 5 star pitch.

"Certainly not again - Luckily we had only booked for one night as we were passing through from Normandy. Compared to the site there and the one after, this site was absolutely unacceptable in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. The beautiful large swimming pool was completely overcrowded and therefore a constant source of noise. The pizzeria, bar and restaurant made a very bad, dingy and overpriced impression. You had to be careful not to get stuck in the sanitary facilities, no matter what time of day. The camping store had everything you needed, far more than basic supplies, with freshly replenished supplies early in the morning, but totally bad-tempered, grumpy staff. The new operator, SANDAYA, should not rest on its laurels but replace the gardeners and cleaning staff.

"Chambord Castle - We chose the campsite because of its proximity to Chambord Castle. It's no problem to get there by bike. You simply have to see the castle. The reception was very nice. Super swimming pool, shady pitches. Restaurant, tourist information, bike rental, self-service store, sauna and playground with bouncy castle are on site. We really liked it there. However, the neighboring village has nothing to offer. Thanks to ACSI Card approx. 19.00 € with two people per night

"Good starting point for visiting Chambord Castle - Well-equipped campsite with everything a vacationer needs. Large swimming pool and other leisure facilities. Tourist information on site. Unfortunately, we had to flee inside the motorhome early because of the many mosquitoes. A "mosquito snake" from the store provided some relief.

"Loud and expensive - It is actually a beautiful place, situated on the edge of the forest of Chambord Castle. But.... Despite the quiet location, it is very noisy, as the (in our opinion mainly English) entertainers always tried (and succeeded) to outdo the groups of children they were looking after in terms of volume. A sergeant in a military movie would have been envious... The sanitary facilities (at least in the two blocks near our pitch) are mostly open, so that the wind blows through quite well. Unfortunately, there was plenty of it on the day we arrived, combined with a brief drop in temperature. Showering was no longer a pleasure. One or two days later, this would not have bothered anyone because the temperatures had risen considerably (>30°). The combination of noise from the pitch in the evening and morning (it was very quiet at night), unreasonably high prices and inadequate sanitary facilities made us look for another pitch right after the first night.
