This came at an excessive price for my taste during our stay at the end of March, especially as the ladies' sanitary facilities were locked and were to remain so until April 1st. The... pitches are large, but unfortunately not accessible at our time (rainy previous days) so that we had to camp with our Knausrich on the way. The only good thing was that we were the first to leave the following day, otherwise it would have been a tight squeeze. Our conclusion is that the place itself is beautiful. If you are looking for peace and quiet and an idyllic setting, this is the place for you. I blame the points that we didn't like and didn't want to fix on my vacation planning, "Don't go on vacation so early ;-)". The drive to the center of Hoorn is a little longer.Well-equipped campsite near Hoornt'Venhop is a large site with well-developed pitches. There is a friendly reception where you can also pre-order bread rolls for the next day. This is important as the site is well outside the village. There is also a restaurant, but no shopping facilities on site. Kayaks can be hired and there is a... smart entry and exit point that is suitable for non-professionals. ADAC members get a 10% discount (as is often the case in the NL). Which in July still means 25 € / night (motorhome, 2 p., electricity). Showers cost extra (50 cents). Hot water for washing up 20 cents. No toilet paper included :-) What may be annoying: You can hear the nearby highway as well as a railroad line and air traffic. The WLAN is available everywhere, but costs 1/2 hourly. Therefore (I assume) we were given a pitch without grass. This was rather bad as it was very dirty and dusty. Sanitary was clean, but 3 toilets for men for the size of the place very little. The shower head could not be adjusted and the temperature... could not be regulated. Hot water to wake up costs 20 cents extra. There is a restaurant next door. Guests of the campsite get a 10% discount. The entrance to the site leads over a wooden bridge with a maximum load capacity of 6.3 tons. You sweat a bit when crossing the bridge :-D. Good starting point for visits to Hoorn (on the cycle path 4km) or Volendam/Edam or Alkmaar - each 20 km - also worth seeing Monnickendam and Marken, sanitary and water on the site in the low season only limited but clean,... pitches quite soft (help with the tractor), very friendly, helpful operator, unfortunately no store, nice restaurant nearby, 1st dog free of charge, walking directly from the site through woods and meadowsSamodejno prevedeno.
