The pitches are large enough. At least ours wasn't particularly uneven. In any case, we had a great pitch right next to the fence... with a sea view. The road between the pitch and the beach is not very busy and didn't bother us.
The comment about the "90s stalls" is understandable - they weren't open during our stay either - but Zaostrog is simply a touristy place that people looking for peace and quiet should avoid in high season.
By the way, there is a green area for dogs nearby, a small park is enough!Samodejno prevedeno.

All pitches somewhat sloping.
Sanitary facilities for men have been redone. The ones for the women are still old and smell accordingly. The cleaning team took... more coffee breaks than cleaning.
The junk shops and ice cream parlors are from the 90s and don't look inviting. Village very small and almost everything was closed.
Supermarket about 500m away, small market about 200m away.

Beds castle character like Italy in the 80s. Small beach is 'reserved' early in the morning with towels. Dog with 6,50 Euro per day much too expensive...dog shower available but nothing else. Top clean and a beautiful mountain panorama... but the promenade with cheap junk and overpriced prices is not for us.
The pitches themselves are very large and well laid out. Nice tree population. Another plus point is the beautiful location - close to the beach and central in the lovely village. There is a local fruit and vegetable shop right in front of the campsite with super tasty food. The beach was absolutely overcrowded and the pitch with a sea view felt like a zoo. We didn't want to believe the few negative reviews here and were proven wrong. Loud, crowded, ugly: Zaostrog. The... camoing area at another location would certainly be recommended... ...and a little cheek by the way, the showers on the beach cost extra and the campsite is on the beach but doesn't have its own area, i.e. at 7 o'clock the first tourists occupy their spot with their towel, at 10 you can't get a spot and can hardly go into the sea...Samodejno prevedeno.

- Susanne E.July 2018Very nice campsite in a beautiful placeWe stayed at this campsite in Zaostrog from the beginning to the middle of July. Although the site is rather rustic, we really liked it there. The proximity to all the infrastructure facilities is great. Everything is within walking distance. We were there by boat. A truck came to crane the boat and... lowered it into the water at the large concrete jetty. The trailer was collected from the pitch if required. The sanitary facilities were always clean. In 10 days we didn't have to queue once for either showering or washing up..... Fresh fruit and vegetables were available all day from the neighboring monastery garden. Two bakeries and 2 supermarkets with a very good selection are in the immediate vicinity.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Alois K.July 2018Pozitivnobeautiful crystal clear sea, nice shady beach, infrastructure, very well-kept and friendly CP with sea view, child-friendly.NegativnoWLAN connection rather poorCamp Viter sees my family even more often/ very good impression!!!Were at the CP from July 09-20, 2018, what impressed me very much was the whole flair that was found there. The unique panorama in the background a huge mountain massif where exactly at 8.00 am the sun comes over the mountain. To the north of the campsite is the old monastery where you can also eat well... if you book in advance! And not to forget the wonderful beach with its crystal clear water with the most beautiful colors crystal clear light blue to turquoise. The nature of the beach is a small round pebble beach ideal for children and you can go into the water without sandals. The employees of the CP are very eager to help wherever help is needed, very friendly staff from the boss to the ladies who always clean the sanitary facilities (in 2 weeks not a single toilet / shower) found dirty. The reception is up to all suggestions and very helpful wherever they can help. The size of the pitches on the campsite is also very favorable and there are lots of olive trees providing good shade. The nights were very pleasant for sleeping, it always cooled down to around 24 degrees, during the day 32 degrees Celsius. It should also be noted that the staff at the campsite speak very good German and English. Outside the campsite you will also find ice cream stands, bars, kiosks, tobacco, restaurants, stores, souvenir stores, a bakery that always bakes fresh bread, a post office, ATMs and bureaux de change - simply everything! (We - young-at-heart couple 60/61) Caravan. The positive first: Nice place, sanitary top clean (always), very friendly staff. Basically, from the beach you have to divide the site into three areas: the front area facing the beach/promenade; on the left an area... with less shade, on the right an area with olive trees and good shade. We wanted to go to the sea, had read about the noise pollution from the beach and asked extra (costs considerably more). We were confirmed: it's not like that, you get a nice, quiet place. Conclusion: we moved to the back after a few days. The thing with first line and front seat and extra price is a bad joke. You actually have to pay for the pain and suffering at the front. Seen from the beach on the left, it doesn't work at all! You can hear the music from one of the bars. It was much better at the back until the management allowed a group of young adults with 4 tents and a party tent in the middle between the mobile homes. The management must really know what they are doing and which clientele they want to appeal to. that was really annoying at times and quite a few people left early. But there were also many positive things: nice fruit stand at the entrance, you could buy the essentials at the two markets in the village. Beautiful hiking tours in the area. Top sanitary facilities, spacious pitches, the whole site very well maintained and highly recommended, and the staff were extremely friendly! The only thing missing in this dreamy place is the local supplier (probably different in the high... season)! Shopping only possible in the next village (approx. 4km)! We were back at CP Viter this year from mid-May to mid-June! Just as great as 2 years ago, except that a local supplier and the bakery were already open! The sanitary facilities are first class and always in a clean condition. Overall, a really great place for families with small children, as the beach slopes gently and is very suitable for children. The softening of the pitch during heavy rain.Very nice campsite with an ideal location.The campsite is ideally located, the beach (depending on where you stand) is 20 meters away. The town center is 100 meters away. There are 2 supermarkets in the village, several bakeries, east stands etc. The restaurants in the village are all good and recommended. The campsite staff are very friendly... and helpful. Unfortunately, the campsite has one major disadvantage: after heavy rain or prolonged rain, the pitch softens in places, the red earth then floats over the pitch and it is very muddy. This could be remedied by applying some chippings. In the lower area of the pitch (directly in front of the wash house), the pitch is covered with chippings and everything is OK there when it rains.Samodejno prevedeno.
