They are always eager to find a solution to any problem. Unfortunately, the paths to the rear pitches are very overgrown and hardly any pitches are halfway straight. Fresh water is not available at every pitch.Maximum peace and quiet under pine treesIt is a special kind of campsite. Anyone who thinks that everything here is in orderly plots is mistaken. The pitches are somehow separated by the large number of pine trees. Which wasn't a problem for us at all. On the contrary. It is so natural. You also have to expect unevenness. But there are also... places where it's relatively flat, and there aren't so many pine trees there either.
Showers have to be topped up with coins, 1€ equals 3 minutes.
The only drawback for us was the weather.
It was cold and it often rained. Nevertheless, it was comfortable on the pitch.

Now we know why, because otherwise many guests would have left earlier. The campsite advertises with 4 stars in the camping catalog. It is a mystery to me who awarded these stars.
The picture shows the lake and it looks... as if it is directly adjacent to the campsite. But this is not the case. It is located on a hill in the pine forest. The lake is public and there is a beach restaurant in front of the lake with a nice view. The food was okay but nothing special. At least the chips and salad and the farmer's breakfast were tasty. In the evening there was live music and a barbecue evening. However, the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Now to the campsite:
The upper sanitary facilities near the reception could do with new shower heads. Some are very calcified and simply chipped. In addition, some showers do not work despite the shower token. One shower for 90 cents. In the lower sanitary area it looks a little better, showers here 6 minutes for 90 cents. The site itself does not look well maintained. The wash houses could be renovated, as could the washing-up stations and the lettering on the pitches is also worn and almost illegible.
The crowning glory is the operator of the site. Check-in was from 3pm. He arrived at 15:05 with a cigarette in his mouth, stumbled into his reception and talked to his long-nose garbage can to see if he had had anything to drink.
It took him 15 minutes to "check in" one guest and the queue got longer and longer. We had paid for everything and already had the Haveltourist pitch number but it still took forever.
We had originally booked 5 nights but left after only 2 nights. You could easily park your car next to it, even if you arrive with a caravan. The site was clean and tidy, as were the sanitary facilities. Friendly groundsman. We always received a warm and friendly welcome. The groundsman is one of a kind. The lake is directly accessible and the shallow sandy beach makes it perfect for small children. Swimming is best early in the morning and in the evening. The beach restaurant is... good value for money and the food is delicious. There are also regular events. The groundskeeper simply takes down the washing line, puts all the clothes on the roof of a car... and puts the full bin bag on top. Is that really necessary? Other guests walk through the rented space 50 cm next to the breakfast table, don't say "good morning" but grunt "there's nowhere to go". The shower tickets, which you book in advance via Haveltourist (and transfer money for), are not available. You have to buy DuschMARKEN again and only get the money for the DuschKARTEN back explicitly on departure.Samodejno prevedeno.

There is a restaurant below the campsite where you can eat well. About 100m from the campsite is a beautiful bathing lake with several access points and a lido. The pitches are large enough, some of which are terraced or loosely distributed in the forest.... The sanitary facilities are good and are cleaned daily. We were satisfied. However, as with most campsites, there is room for improvement here. You can get fresh bread rolls and various drinks at reception, all other things are conveniently available in nearby Wesenberg. Supply problems are not to be expected, as the local supermarket is even open on Sundays. A railroad line runs close to the campsite. However, there is hardly any traffic there, so this is not a restriction. The rail traffic only takes place during the day and never bothered us. Modern communication is a little problematic. WLAN is available and is sufficient for checking emails, just a little slow. But this can also be a blessing from time to time. The campsite offers countless leisure activities in the immediate vicinity, almost all of which can be easily reached on foot or by bike. You won't get bored so quickly. The people are all very friendly, courteous and helpful. We certainly felt very comfortable during the two weeks of our stay and had a fantastic rest like we haven't had for a long time. The groundsman is also, well, what can I say, if you smell like a cigarette, please don't touch my breakfast rolls with your hand..... The store has certainly seen better days, at least I've rarely seen so much dust on the items. The sanitary facilities are generally clean, but the shower cubicles are very small, especially for showering with children. A family shower or a changing table would be worth an investment for the operators. Due to closed highways because of the heat, our arrival was delayed to 8 pm. We informed Haveltourist of this by telephone. The groundsman came to the site again at 8 pm (low season and hardly occupied). In the first conversation he offered us not... to take the selected pitch (booked via the homepage), because there were much nicer ones in a "better" location that were free during our stay. We were then able to visit the site and choose a really nice pitch. There are many pitches in the densely overgrown area and some in the lighter forest. Unfortunately, this is not clear from the site map on the Internet. The site was nice and quiet during our entire stay. The sanitary facilities are not the newest but are perfectly fine. The cleanliness was also absolutely fine. You only noticed it in the sanitary area after the campsite was full. Perhaps a 2nd cleaning a day would have been appropriate. Shopping facilities are easy to reach by car, bike or on foot (approx. 15 minutes' walk) (2 supermarkets, bakery, butcher's shop, drinks shop). The peace and quiet on the site is simply wonderful. Once in a while there is also a lot going on. There's a beach festival and a castle festival in the town, but that's announced and fun. The sanitary facilities are... always clean. The people and staff are always friendly and helpful. The pitches are well laid out, level and well maintained. There is a restaurant right next to the site and from there you have a wonderful view of the Weißer See.Samodejno prevedeno.

Great relaxing vacation. The sanitary facilities were fine, a train passes by every hour, but it's only during the day and not too bad. The public bathing area is of course quite full when the weather is nice but super clean! Snacks and more are available in the beach restaurant... from 12 noon. Wifi is available at the campsite but not very stable in the area. The groundsman is always approachable and nice, even outside of opening hours, he puts a lot of effort into his campsite.
