A fantastic bathing area with a great view...
The campsite and the sanitary facilities were always clean and made a good impression. Only the play equipment (volleyball court full of branches, badminton net torn,... the indoor tent very dirty and worn) made a somewhat neglected impression. What we found a bit annoying were the showers (clean, but an unpleasantly hard jet of water) which are charged by the hour. The only advantage of this is that no one takes a long shower and therefore there are no long waiting times. The WLAN on site is good, but you have to pay extra.
Otherwise, we were very impressed by the region, which has a lot to offer even in bad weather.
We will definitely visit the campsite again and can definitely recommend it.

It's great for swimming, paddling etc.
You can also start good bike tours from the site.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Friendliness is very important to us so that our guests feel comfortable and welcome here. The camping park has its own bathing beach from where you can also start your paddling tours. There are also various cycle paths in the area,... making it easy to explore the surroundings by bike (perhaps ask at reception for information beforehand - there are some sections that are a little more difficult to cycle).
We have different pitch sizes to choose from - it's best to let us know the size of your vehicle when booking so that we can select the appropriate pitch.

The comfort pitches are beautifully situated, dogs are only allowed at the back of the site, which is a good thing, and there is a children's playground on the lakeshore. There is a... bistro with drinks and pizza, plus a snack cart where you can only get hamburgers from 10 euros, unfortunately no "normal" food such as currywurst, schnitzel or similar. But there is a bread roll service with really tasty rolls from the bakery! The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained, the showers all have "oldschool" shower curtains, even in the small rental bathrooms. A bit nostalgic but they work too. There are sinks outside and in the building, washing machines and dryers available for 3,- per aisle. The bad thing is that there are always dogs on the beach although this is clearly prohibited with signs, for good reasons. A little more supervision would be needed here, especially in the morning. There are also small rental cabins on the site, but most of them probably don't have their own sanitary facilities. We make every effort to regularly review and possibly adapt our gastronomic offer according to the wishes of our guests - unfortunately, however, it is not possible to please everyone. There are various sanitary buildings in the camping park... (three in total) - one of them also has "old school" shower curtains (also in our rental bathrooms). We have three different types of fin cabins - with and without sanitary facilities.

We were told to change pitches - without water and sewage.That went wrongAlthough we traveled with 2 dogs, there were "no dogs" signs almost everywhere.
The sanitary facilities are a bit older.
We didn't stay on the site as no agreement was reached despite some discussions.
Our references to the telephone agreement were questioned and not exactly argued in a friendly manner... - was that really true?
It's a shame when we are accused of being untruthful.
We have learned and will have everything confirmed in writing in future.

Absolutely quiet location directly on the lake. Sufficient and clean sanitary facilities. There are very sunny pitches in the rondels, outside you are very shady under very tall old trees.NegativnoThe entrance, i.e. the barrier to the site, is closed to all vehicles from 13:00-15:00. This means that you are pretty limited in terms of time on vacation. In the evening from 22:00, which is ok if you want to have some peace and quiet. We also found the cleaning times for the sanitary facilities very restrictive on vacation.Nice quiet place to relaxVarious employees at reception have unfortunately not yet heard of customer friendliness.
I/we found the reception in particular very unpleasant, which reminded me strongly of GDR times when entering the country. You are only given rules for your stay and are not treated like a guest at all. An absolute... no-go!
It's a lovely place to relax and unwind, especially because of its proximity to Plau am See.
The staff at reception didn't make us feel welcome as guests at all, more like an unnecessary burden for the staff. All in all a great pity.
We will therefore not be staying here again. We were stunned by the many large dog turds on the beach and in the playground, which were not removed for days. The guests of the campsite were forced to lie around them. We did without. The... impression is that the operators are not interested in having guests return. The on-site facilities are poor and completely overpriced. However, there are supermarkets and discount stores about 3 km away where you can stock up.
All in all disappointing, although we were forewarned by several negative reviews on the net. Gastronomy very poor.Where do the 4 stars come from????The "Hamburger Wagen" occasionally stinks fiercely of burnt waste oil. No camping possible within a radius of 30m. When I asked at reception if they could take action, the answer was that the car was not their responsibility and that I should contact the staff at the Hamburger Wagen myself. As a campsite... operator, you are of course responsible!!! This is really cheeky, especially because the colleague is from Poland (the caravan too) and only understands what he wants...so the stench doesn't stop.
The price of the showers is a cheek, and then the water "burbles" out of the tap...in general, the sanitary area could be cleaned more than once a day.
Also the price for W-lan is a total imposition. Poor reception.
And where do the 4 stars come from? We have already vacationed at many 4 star places, this one is no comparison. The culinary supply / offers are rather poor, according to the homepage we had expected something morea good place with many advantages but not everything is good...As already mentioned, we find the separation of the dog lovers from the other campers very good. The site is very nice and green, with clear grass and short distances to the water. You can tell that the staff and operators make an effort, although they are a bit over-motivated, the same pitch is mowed... 3 times a week, but what the heck... The cleaning times of the sanitary facilities should be organized a little differently, exactly at the usual peak time the main facility is closed to clean. We have experienced this differently at other campsites. I don't know if it was just me, but the water pressure from the showers is extremely low, so it takes a long time to rinse off. Well, they charge by the hour ;-( . Due to my wife's illness, she had to use the disabled bathroom and she just wondered why it wasn't cleaned properly? Not a day went by that she didn't come back scolding. Online you were promised more for the culinary supply, perhaps this is due to the current reality of the pandemic. The Schilfhütte is a better beer tap with a bockwurst and next to it is a "burger roasting hut" sorry wagon from Poland. We've been around a bit in our lives and have had some really good burgers, but what's on offer here doesn't have much to do with that. A bun crammed full of sauce and a tasteless slice of minced beef and something in between, I could no longer identify.... A piece like that cost €8 and it goes up to over €10! People, stay away from this stuff. We enjoyed really good restaurants in Plau, go there or cook for yourself.Samodejno prevedeno.
