Michael G.June 2023PozitivnoBeautifully maintained site by the lake with sports facilities and cycling to Roermond. The pitches are very spacious and separated by small hedges. Regarding the sanitary facilities: We had nothing to complain about, although the site was very busy. A late arrival was no problem and was solved via a key compartment with a pin.NegativnoReception cannot be reached by telephone during the day or in the evening. Cars are not allowed to be parked on the pitch despite the spacious parking lot.Nice placeSuch a beautiful place but we were still a little disappointed. Unfortunately, there were "disputes" between neighbors and the groundsman was not available. There was a "reprimand" for parking the car on the plot. However, when the neighboring plot was converted into a soccer pitch and children's playground,... no one could be seen or reached. A real shame, as there are so many play and sports opportunities for young people.

Shopping for daily needs can be done really well in the village, 10 minutes on foot.
Shower tokens now... cost 1€ and the running time of the hot water is 3 minutes, which is more than enough, sanitary facilities were always very clean.
We really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely be back.

The pictures of the campsite on the home page also promised a lot.
The location of the CP is very nice, you can make very nice bike tours and the pitch on gravel was also great.
But those were already the positive features.
It already starts with... that, who of you has tried to reach the reception by phone knows what I'm talking about. NO CHANCE!
-Arrival until 17:00, then the reception is closed. Sporty on the Whitsun weekend when hardly anyone goes away.
- Not a huge CP but quite a few pitches. But a single sanitary building with 6 toilets and 4 showers each for men and women
-The cleanliness definitely leaves something to be desired
- The lady at the reception is unfriendly and snippy and totally disorganized.
- I had paid for everything on the day of arrival, I paid a €25 deposit for the barrier card.
When I wanted to return it on the day of departure, I was only supposed to get €17 back?!?!!?!
When I asked, I got the answer "You would have to keep some more money, that's how the prices are today "
?!?!?!
Arrived three days before, paid everything and now the place is more expensive?
Of course I insisted on getting the full €25 back.
After minutes of discussion, she slapped it on the counter.

..... We had actually booked there again for Pentecost next year.
She received the cancellation by return of post.

- when this... was complained about as a defect, it was claimed until the end

In addition to the advantages / disadvantages, there is also to mention that the campsite has its own small sandy beach on the lake and could also be used well during Corona times. Pitches are so big that friends were allowed to pitch their tent on our... pitch without any problems. Electricity is only secured with 6A and could not be increased due to the fully occupied pitch. Very large pitch with a view of the lake. Opposite is the beach club, which can probably be reached by walking or driving around the outside of the site. However, one swimming area (of several) is close to the pitch. In February there wasn't that much going on... No catering facilities on site, but not bad. Sanitary facilities were very clean. It was very quiet and pleasant. The campsite is remote. There are no shopping facilities in the district. You have to drive to Wassenberg or the NL. Also no bread service in the morning. Nevertheless, ideal starting point for cycling tours,... also in the neighboring NL. So if you want to relax, you're in good hands here. Pitch infrastructure is very good: large pitches; electricity, water and waste water connections. Separation from the permanent pitches. Sanitary facilities were clean. Frank W.July 2018PozitivnoLake, large pitchesNegativnoSanitary buildingDisappointmentLet's start with the positives: Comfort pitches are huge and level throughout and on grass, with water and electricity directly at every pitch. The playground is also great. In my opinion, the time pitches are also big enough and have sufficient electricity. That's it. The rest is very disappointing,... judging by the pictures on the homepage. Yes, there is a brand new sanitary block. 4 toilets and 3 men's?? urinals. 4 showers, only two of which allowed hot water with shower tokens when I was there... ?? 4 places to wash up? All very small. Hot water comes out of the cold water pipe for 3 minutes. The following should be said about the leisure facilities advertised. Yes, there are. BUT: To get to Amici Beach, with the advertised aqua park and wakeboard facility, you either have to walk for quite a while (or drive) or swim from the campsite's "private beach" across the lake to the other shore to the beach. As for the private beach, it should be noted that guests at Amici Beach are happy to take the path across the lake and use the campsite guests' private beach and the slide, as they probably don't even know that it is only for campsite guests, as neither signs nor staff point this out. Speaking of staff. No soap in the men's room for two days and then the same in the women's room. When I asked about the slide on the private beach, I was told that they knew nothing about it and that I should see if I could find the gentleman who looks after the site.... Conclusion: in my opinion, enough money is made here with the annual pitches and then the necessary things are quickly put in place for tourists. No care is taken and no real thought is given. The operator will say that everything about the leisure facilities is in the description. That's true, but you don't understand it until you've been here and that's why I call it a loss leader. That leaves us with the comfort pitch, we don't need 100 square meters. 25 euros for 2 people, showers 3 minutes 50 cents. Not really cheap, considering that there isn't even a snack bar. If you don't want to leave at 12 noon, you have to pay a hefty 13 euros. The lake is great and the bathing area is supervised by the DLRG. Water skiing, waveboarding and much more, swimming, fishing - everything is possible. Super nice location, right next to a swimming lake with wake-board facilities, large pitches with fresh water and waste water, but with a few weaknesses that could easily be remedied: - the site and therefore the night's rest are left... to their own devices from 8pm, which led to a group of Dutch people (seasonal campers) celebrating a birthday until well after midnight. the later, the louder. In contrast, the neighboring tent meadow was surprisingly quiet. - Unfortunately, there were also several ignorant dog owners who interpreted the leash requirement as a recommendation and let their dogs run around everywhere. It's a shame that it was always guests from NL. I've never noticed anything so negative before. - Our pitch booking (specific pitch) was also lost, which turned out to be lucky, otherwise we would have been standing directly opposite the birthday party, so at least we had a few meters distance to it. All in all, a nice place that we will certainly give another chance, but in the high season I can only recommend it to a limited extent.Samodejno prevedeno.

The pitches are nice and large and have water and drainage. Contrary to the description, each pitch probably has 16 A, which didn't cost any more! Although it's not quite finished yet, it's a great place to relax. It's great... fun to watch the water skiers. You get free entry to the nearby lido. The Amici Beach Club is a great place to eat or just chill out and enjoy a tasty drink, and the surrounding area is ideal for cycling. A trip to the Meinweg National Park is highly recommended, and Roermont is not far for shoppers. We will definitely be back!Samodejno prevedeno.
