Therefore we can say from experience that this is a very nice and recommendable place.
We were particularly impressed by the newly renovated sanitary facilities.
Also worth mentioning is the particularly beautiful location of the individual pitches....
You are not cramped and can enjoy nature and the landscape.
We thought the covered seating areas were great.

We were told that only the ladies' sanitary facilities were in operation. With outside temperatures of around 10°C, the heating in the showers/washrooms and toilets was not switched on, so the condensation was running off the... walls. The silicone joints were moldy. We were told the next morning that heating would not be worthwhile for the few guests. What a pity. You should avoid this place in the low season.
Fortunately, in the evening we were able to enjoy superbly prepared pizzas in the pizzeria next door.

The Kreutz family who run the campsite were always concerned about our well-being and always provided us with tips for sights in the area, possible hiking destinations and cycle routes.... Thomas, a proven globetrotter on a touring bike, whom I had already met on one of my cycling trips, was always on hand with help and advice, which saved us a lot of research. So we can justifiably look back on a successful stay and can recommend this place with the best of our knowledge and conscience. We will be happy to come back, Wolfgang and HelgaSamodejno prevedeno.

We particularly liked the clean sanitary facilities and also the campers with dogs had their four-legged friends very well behaved (no constant barking). We can also highly recommend the restaurant (Italian).

You take the train up the LAN and then canoe down again. The tour ends right at the campsite, which was great, especially with our children. The campsite also has a great children's playground! There are also numerous hiking and cycling trails and you can visit Bad Ems, a pretty spa town, or various castles in the region.NegativnoA main road runs directly on the opposite side of the Lahn. As this is located directly on the mountain, the noise of the cars is emitted across the entire valley. So it is quite loud at times. At the weekend, however, this was limited and we were able to sleep undisturbed at night. However, it is possible that it is a bit noisier during the week.Idyllic location directly on the LahnOverall, we really enjoyed the direct location on the Lahn, the children could jump into the river directly from the pitch and go swimming. There are lots of water sports activities, hiking and cycling all around. Cities are also not far away. I would definitely recommend the site. The price was increased by 21.7% without any improvement on the pitch. The price per day for 2 people is now €27 per day, showers cost €1. The reception is now only staffed for a few hours in the morning and evening and the contact person can only be reached... by cell phone. The pizzeria closes at 9pm, the service there is unfriendly, but the pizza tastes good. ....................... Update 2: We visited the Dausenau campsite again on May 1, 2018. The restaurant is now open, it is a pizzeria with a nice terrace facing the Lahn. We have therefore upgraded the site to 5 stars. ............. Update 1: We were on the site again on Ascension Day 2017, the restaurant is finished but not leased and therefore closed. When the site is very full, as it was on Ascension Day, the sanitary facilities are too small. (A tip for the showers: the red lights at the selection terminal often light up even though the cubicle is empty. This is because the last user pressed the stop button and there is still some time left. Simply push in the mixer lever and press the start button and then wait until the light turns green !!!) ------------------------------------------ We stayed at the Dausenau campsite at the end of June 2016. The site was not overcrowded, most of the tourist campers were Dutch. We had a large pitch right on the banks of the Lahn, all pitches have a nice lawn, some also have an area with concrete slabs. Some trees provide shade and the whole site has a park-like character. The electricity connections are located at intervals of 5 pitches, but ours only had 6A, (Senseo runs though), the water points are distributed at intervals of 3 pitches. The sanitary building is located at the entrance, the sanitary facilities are appealing, there are 4 showers (very spacious) and three lockable washing areas for men and women. There are also several washbasins. Cost for showering: €1 per token, the showers have a stop button, so you can get by with one token. In front of the sanitary building are the covered outdoor sinks, in front of which there is a playground with a table tennis table and a barbecue area. In the sanitary building you will also find the canoe rental, which is run by the owner. The Lahn cycle path passes directly behind the campsite, offering trips down to the Rhine or upstream to Limburg. Shopping facilities can be found in Dausenau (corner store) and Nassau (Rewe, Netto). The owners are very friendly and gave us information about the area around Dausenau and a map of the cycle path when we checked in. A big plus: dogs cost nothing extra, costs for 2 adults + car + caravan incl. electricity + garbage fee: € 21.50 The only drawback is the traffic noise from the main road on the other bank of the Lahn, but it is much quieter at night. A restaurant on the campsite is currently being renovated and should further enhance the site when it is completed. There are a lot of activities to enjoy for really good price. The camping site and the sanitary are clean. The owners are really nice and flexible people, although we booked canoe (10 people) at the last minute, they were cooperative and helpful. We found a reasonably priced campsite with nice and friendly operators. The pitches are large and there are plenty of fresh water points. Unfortunately the new pizzeria was not finished, so there was no catering on site,... but a bread roll service was available. On the street across the road I was mainly disturbed by the many trucks on weekdays and at Easter by the motorcyclists who chased across the road like madmen.Samodejno prevedeno.

The location is fantastic. Directly on the Lahn. Ideal for excursions by canoe/kayak or paddle boat. The Lahn cycle path goes right past the campsite. When fully occupied, the staff can't keep up with the maintenance and care of the site. Even at... 7:30 in the morning there was no toilet paper left. Showers still with outdated coin slot. The pitches directly on the Lahn are nice and large and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are super clean, unfortunately you need shower coins (only 4 minutes). You can order bread rolls for the next day until 6 pm. There are... lots of things to do in the area (hiking, cycling, boating). The cycle path in the direction of Arnstein Monastery is quite hilly, the way back could also be done with the Lahnbahn including bicycle transport. If you are sensitive to road noise, the B260 on the other side of the Lahn is less than 50m from the caravan. Motorcycles and trucks cannot be ignored. However, it is quite quiet at night. Special thanks at this point again to the employee Marcel, who helped us with some tips and tricks and thus made our vacation even better!Samodejno prevedeno.
