By phone we reserved a place for 2 nights, but we had to stay in the caravan for a long time after checking in, so we had to stay there for only 1 night, but we had to stay in another place.

The Dutch owners are relaxed people and this creates a nice vacation atmosphere which makes for relaxing days at the campsite.
The sanitary facilities are clean and the showers are hot and have no push button. You pay the electricity according to what... you have consumed. Well so fair. The restaurant has a small menu, but the schnitzels are delicious.
The pitches are spacious and there is a good mix of German and Dutch guests. For the true peace seeker, this is the right place. For children there is a small playground, but the campsite is certainly in the early and late season aimed at older guests.
The surroundings are beautiful, and certainly suitable for the experienced cyclist and hiker.
Also the wine lover will feel at ease here, because just outside the campground is an excellent winery where the campground owner arranges a wine tasting evening. You can buy top wines here for a soft price.
However, it is advisable to book in time, because even outside the high season the campground fills up quickly.

The food in the small bistro was very tasty, including the bread rolls that you can order the day before. Very nice friendly operators, clean sanitary building, well-kept place, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this... is the right place, overlooking fue vineyards or the rape field. Many cycling and hiking trails and the great nature round off the whole thing. Cycle tours along the Nahe can be started directly from the campsite. Many signposted hiking trails. Bad Kreunznach and Bad Sobernheim are excursion destinations. Oberndorf is a wine village - a location for winegrowers, some with estate taverns.
The sanitary facilities are clean.
The campsite managers are really nice.

The sanitary area is wonderfully relaxed to use without annoying cards, tokens or coins, as we have regularly seen even at 5-star campsites. It couldn't be closer to hiking trails. Adequate and functional sanitary facilities, which always worked. Showers with hot water that always worked and a powerful shower jet. Shower head which is removable. No tokens or cards or coins necessary and no need to operate a device to finally shower, as elsewhere. Hairdryer available. The plots, which are bordered by hedges, are mostly very spacious, some with water/waste water on site and, of course, electricity connections.... So you have enough privacy, but the hedges are not too high for a chat with the neighbor :-)
You can set off on hikes and cycle tours directly from the site, the fantastic landscape with its vineyards and rugged rock faces has an Alpine feel to it.
The operators from Holland know how to spoil their guests with all kinds of culinary delights, including tarte flambée and typical Dutch delicacies that can be ordered in advance in the evening. After Corona, the bistro will also reopen, this year you could unfortunately only see the cozy seating inside and outside in passing.
Generally a very quiet place, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. Cycling tours along the Nahe are a pleasure, and there are plenty of other excursion destinations in the area, including a castle ruin not far from the village that is well worth a visit.
In the neighboring villages on the Nahe, there are also plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
Shopping is best done by car, as there are plenty of supermarkets in the surrounding towns.
The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and clean, showers cost nothing extra, which is no longer a matter of course these days.
In short, it's the perfect place for a break with super attentive operators and friendly campers, many with dogs - it's great that they can come here too.

Quite large plots for the camping pitches and somewhat smaller ones for the motorhome pitches. We had a great night's sleep, as apart from the really very quiet train on the other side of the river, only the birds... could be heard.
The operators are super nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities had to remain closed due to the coronavirus.

Wine tasting with pick-up service from the pitch. Despite Corona, the... bread roll service and the sale of pre-ordered snacks were offered. The sanitary facilities were well maintained and clean. The reserved pitch had water and electricity. The railroad line on the opposite side of the road did not bother us. unfortunately the shop was closed due to corona - but the bread roll service worked perfectly.
the "snack menu" was very limited, but you could order fresh tarte flambée in advance (very tasty).
the surrounding area is worth a visit (bad kreuznach, badmünster am stein, ....)

At the back of the campground is room for campfire, cozy with a glass of wine, beer or soda and a nibble.
Owners Bob and Foekje are always friendly and helpful....
You can make beautiful walks and very nice bike rides. Info. for routes etc. available at the reception in the Bistro. Owners know almost everything about the area and they are happy to tell you.
In the morning the ordered bread or breads can be picked up at the Bistro.
Eat and drink in the Bistro or on the beautiful slightly higher terrace with beautiful views.
Wine, beer and soft drinks can be enjoyed at the grill hut on the cozy terrace.
One can participate in wine tastings.
One can also join a pleasant wine tour, this tour with tractor and covered wagon goes through the vineyards (on the way wine tasting) to a watchtower (beautiful panorama), then to the wine grower, and then starts the official tasting. Liqueur tasting is also possible.
There are also plenty of restaurants in the village and the surrounding area where one can eat well.
Washer and dryer are available.
Sanitary facilities are super clean.
Camping is well maintained.
