The campsite is located directly on the Wied. Ideal for dog owners. The only negative thing I noticed was that there were no litter bins along the footpath towards Waldbreitbach. Food in the beer garden was very good. Bread rolls from the village were great.

I missed a kiosk, but there is a bakery in the village and a supermarket in the next village.
Totally relaxed place
I was there for 2 nights with my caravan and 2 small dogs on the last weekend in August. The separate meadow for tourist campers is right next to the little river Wied. There was plenty of space despite the nice weather. Free choice of pitch, well-maintained site, lots of greenery and beautiful walking... paths. There is a small, well-kept container on the meadow with 2 flushing facilities and separate waste water disposal, and the toilets are about 50 m away at the restaurant, depending on the pitch. I didn't visit this myself, but some campers went there to eat every day. It looked cozy from the outside, and the prices according to the menu were not too high. The site is great for campers with dogs, you can walk straight into the countryside and dogs are allowed everywhere and in the water on the site. At night only the small waterfall of the Wied could be heard quietly, very calming. Arrival and departure were also very relaxed. Simply arrive, set up and register when reception is open. Departure until midday, without having to leave the site at a specific hour. Very friendly welcome at reception. The atmosphere on the pitch was as relaxed as the way the campers were treated. If you like, you can barbecue with any equipment as long as you don't burn the grass. In short, this is a place where you can spend a weekend in peace and quiet and recharge your batteries.

A site characterized by permanent campers. The meadow for transit campers turns into a muddy wasteland when it rains and is at risk of flooding in heavy rain. The paths to the sanitary facilities (too few open and of varying quality) are quite long. In fine weather, the site is always recommendable due to its quiet location.

Very nice campsite characterized by permanent campers. Toilets were clean and well maintained. There are 3 toilet blocks, but still not enough toilets and showers, as there are only 2 toilets and 2 showers per toilet block. The restaurant on site is recommended. Although the selection is not huge, it is very tasty and everything is served in a very friendly and nice way. We will definitely visit the site again.
