"absolute TOP favorite - Very friendly welcome, top: We had booked for 6 nights, when we arrived it was raining heavily. When we checked in, the operator said: "We'll leave the departure date open if I want to leave earlier". Unfortunately, there is hardly any accommodation like this anymore. But we stayed the 6 nights anyway. The pitches are gravelled with adjoining grass. It's super flat and you don't sink in when it rains. The whole site makes a very tidy and clean impression. The site is not completely fenced in, everything is open. This is very practical for dog owners, as it's easy to get down from the pitch for a walk. Four pitches always share a power point with a water connection. If you want, you can rent a bathroom, but in my opinion this is not necessary. Everything is super clean and modern. W-Lan is free with good coverage. There is a washing machine and a dryer. Unfortunately you have to put in at least 3x1€ to find out that the washing program only runs for 60-90min. Here would have to be readjusted again. There are no shops in the immediate vicinity, you have to drive 15 minutes by car. You can order bread rolls in advance, but 90 cents for a "normal" wheat roll is already in the upper price range. Despite the proximity to the highway, you can't hear anything from it. Therefore, the place is also ideal for those passing through. We will certainly be back when we are in the area.

"Very good, family-run campsite - Overall highly recommended - see advantages. The operators are very friendly, the pitches well maintained and straight. Very good starting point for hikes.

"Beautiful campsite not just for an overnight stay - A very clean and well-kept campsite with nice sanitary facilities. The very nice and friendly operators also run the restaurant which is highly recommended. The place is not only recommended for an overnight stay, you should perhaps stay there longer.

"Very clean and well maintained - Very nice operator. Beautiful sanitary facilities. The restaurant is a highlight. Lots of opportunities for hiking. Unfortunately the weather was not so nice during our stay. But we will be back.

Profil

Camping Pyhrn-Priel is a little, family-run campsite beautifully located on the verge of the national park “Kalkalpen”. It represents a perfect stay for short term campers on the way, as well as for longer holidays. All tourists will find loads …of possibilities for any kind of sports and activities within the lovely nature nearby. The campsite can be found just 1km away from exit 52 “Gleinkerau” on the highway A9. Though it is located nearby the highway, the place is very silent and peaceful. There’s no need to uncouple caravans at a short stay and early departure causes no problem. The price includes disposal and hot showers. Furthermore there is the possibility to order fresh bread and rolls in the morning. Straight at the campsite you can also find the family-run restaurant with gastronomic specialities like the ½ meter meat skewer with curled potatoes.

Take exit 52 „Gleinkerau“ on the highway A9. Then leave the roundabout at the second possibility heading for “CAMPING”. After about 300 m at the sign “Campingplatz Pyhrn-Priel“ turn left. After approximately 500 m on the country road turn right …into the campsite. The campsite is located just 1 km short of the highway, though the place is very silent and peaceful.
