Our teenagers liked the proximity to Hansapark best. We adults liked the proximity to the sea best. We had a pitch in the first row. There was only a small beach path between us and the beach/sea. Cycling is prohibited on the beach path and... the few walkers who passed right by our window didn't bother us. We were here in the fall and it was super quiet on the pitch.
The place is great. I have listed the advantages.
For me, the wash houses deserve "5 stars plus". There is so much space in the showers that you can keep everything clean and dry in a small anteroom with a washbasin, separate from the shower room. One wash house also has a small kitchen.
Pelzerhaken and Neustadt are within easy walking distance.
The site's own bistro with a view of the sea and a sheltered terrace offers a good selection of meals and there is also a place to buy essentials.

Mainly occupied by permanent campers. Large grass pitches with electricity, water and waste water. Very clean sanitary facilities with exceptionally large showers with plenty of hooks, storage space and... washbasins. Great view of the entire Neustadt Bay from the site's own restaurant. Bread roll service, nearest supermarket only approx. 1 km away. Not far from Neustadt or Pelzerhaken. Great starting point for bicycle tours along the coast or into the hinterland.
These days the very good Corona concept should be mentioned. Within walking distance of Pelzerhaken and Neustadt. This is particularly pleasant when the beach weather is not so good.
We also liked the fact that there were no dogs on the site. If you are traveling with a dog, you... will find alternatives in the immediate vicinity.
Proximity to the beach is great. Unfortunately the water was still too cold this year.
The sanitary facilities are top and clean, but in the high season there could be a shortage of toilets.

Disadvantage: from the upper pitches it is a long way to the chemical toilet... disposal (probably forgotten when planning the new building). A bit close to the neighbors. But that's only a minor point of criticism for us.Beautiful campsite right on the Baltic SeaBeautifully situated campsite directly on the Baltic Sea. Very friendly staff. The sanitary facilities were clean. You need a shower token to shower. Electricity, fresh water and waste water were available at the pitch. There were bread rolls in the kiosk and delicious cakes and food in the bistro. Vtl... are the pitches or the distance to the neighbor a bit narrow. But that's just a small point of criticism. All in all, we can recommend the place.
What the operator can't help is that one or two campers think they are alone and leave the toilet and shower dirty. I sometimes felt sorry for the cleaning staff.Samodejno prevedeno.

Fresh baked goods every day, fresh cake at lunchtime! There is nothing... to complain about! Several accesses to the sea included... there is a soccer field / swing golf and a great playground for the kids! We were given a very friendly welcome and the groundsman not only showed us the pitch, but also recommended the best position and helped us to move the trailer. Everything else went smoothly. There was water and... electricity at every pitch. The sanitary facilities were very new and always clean. We enjoyed the bread roll service on the pitch and occasionally the lunch buffet on the beach. The shower cards already mentioned in other reviews are very useful. The five of us didn't use €10. There were activities for children every day. However, due to our own program and the beautiful weather, we did not take advantage of it. The site is easy to reach, very well maintained and also quiet if you are not close to the tent pitches. The catering on site is good, as is the bread roll service and there is also a supermarket within... walking distance. I should also praise the fact that there are several pitches right by the water for guests and that not all the top pitches are occupied by permanent campers. However, I would like to mention two points of criticism: Firstly, the pitches that are not parceled out are very uneven. Even with the wheel chocks provided, it can be difficult to get the caravan level. But the groundsman knows this too (he always takes new arrivals directly to the pitch) and therefore provides additional wooden wedges on request. However, this is not really a solution for awnings and normal tents. However, there are hardly any slopes on the parceled-out pitches. On the other hand, the wash houses are a point of criticism despite recent modernization. Modern and clean, yes, but unfortunately the campsite follows the bad habit of some other campsites where a cubicle consists of a washbasin AND a shower. So if I just want to shave, I'm also blocking a shower for another guest. And if I just want to take a shower, the washbasin can actually be used by someone else, but unfortunately it is part of my cabin. Totally unnecessary. What's more, there are only 4 of these cubicles per washroom (at least in the men's area), so there are waiting times when there's a big rush. Another criticism of the new washrooms is the credit cards for showers. I have nothing against shower tokens or a chip for showering, but here the card has to be placed in front of the reader in the shower and from then on the credit slowly starts to tick down, even if you haven't used any hot water (or any water at all). I don't think this was pointed out to us at check-in. The card initially has €5 credit on it, which is easily enough for 3 extensive showers. But to debit credit even though you haven't even taken a shower yet is a contradiction in terms for the "shower token system". We will still be happy to come back.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Rene B.August 2018Negativnononebeautiful beach vacationWe stayed at the Südstrand campsite for 14 days at the end of August. The welcome at check-in was very friendly. You are taken to the pitch by a groundsman and given instructions. The pitches are nice and large with electricity, water and drainage. We were in the 2nd row of the beach. We therefore had... a short walk to the beach, which is directly adjacent to the campsite. The wash houses are also only a short walk away. 2 near the beach and 1 in the main building. They are very modern and as good as new and very clean. You need a shower card to access the wash houses. Showers cost extra! The campsite restaurant deserves great praise. A nice selection of very tasty dishes. From fish and meat to salads etc... Cycling enthusiasts will also get their money's worth here. There are many beautiful cycle paths right along the water. Mostly flat. There are shops just a few hundred meters down the road. The Sky supermarket has everything you need and is even open on Sundays. We had lovely relaxing days at the Südstrand campsite! The dog ban is very good here! We will be back!Samodejno prevedeno.
