We received a very friendly welcome and were able to park wherever we wanted without any problems. We used the restaurant in the evening... I'd say it was enough to fill us up, more snack quality than restaurant.... The sanitary facilities are housed in an old farmhouse and are perfectly adequate for two nights. We liked it very much and will definitely come back again.Samodejno prevedeno.- Jazman -.april 2017PozitivnoGreat locationNegativnoSanitary facilities More suitable for permanent campersLocation is good, but...We stayed at this campsite over Easter because we wanted to visit the excavations of the Varus Battle. The location is super beautiful. You can walk through the forest to the excavations and also see deer and the like. We had one of the few tourist pitches on the site itself (not in front of the barrier).... The site operator is really very nice, which is why I try to write a fair review. Most of the pitches are "caravans" of permanent campers, sometimes in good condition, sometimes in less good condition. There is only a very small sanitary area. The shower (there is only one) is still very old-fashioned with a shower curtain. The showers have a pay system and despite the fact that they cost money, the shower interval is timed to seven seconds, which makes washing long hair almost impossible. We were able to pre-order bread rolls in the restaurant. Otherwise there are only small items in reception. There is no kiosk or anything like that. Washing up was impossible. There was no hot water as the boiler was probably broken. When asked, we were told that this often happens. No remedy could be found, so we boiled hot water in the caravan and had to carry it over, as it is difficult to flush with cold water. The passage to the small pond and playground is only accessible with a key. The playground was unfortunately closed during our stay. There is another meadow in the forest without sanitary facilities that can be used for groups. So the location is great, the site operator is very nice, but unfortunately we cannot recommend the site as it is more suitable for permanent campers.Samodejno prevedeno.

The biggest criticism is the opening hours of the snack bar, which do not adhere to the times stated. We were there at Easter (high season), are traveling with Womo, and then actually rely on... the opening times that are on the net, because we do not like to cook in the Womo. is just stupid if you then stand there and get nothing to eat. Very good price/performance ratio.Everything is okay and appropriate......if you also consider the price to be paid. How does the "comparison price" on this page come about? 19 EUR? Yesterday we paid 6 EUR + 2 EUR electricity for an overnight stay! Super. The sanitary facilities, which have been commented on several times, were always clean, despite the dirty weather. Okay,... I don't want to know what happens when the place is packed during a (sociable) club party weekend, oha. But please don't get carried away: 6 EUR is 6 EUR, and many motorhome drivers are also self-catering in the sanitary area. I think you can sometimes be willing to compromise. We were very satisfied. Surrounded by forests, this place is also a good place for the eye. Because this campsite is located on a campsite, there is also a "good" (depending on the viewer) view from above. For older guests this place is quite good because it is quiet... and relaxing. But also children (under 14 years) can make friends and have fun there. However, this place is not exactly for teenagers or young adults, there are few leisure activities offered by the campsite, you can swim there, but you can't do that all day long. However, if you want to listen to your music at night, you will unfortunately not find such deaf ears there, so even the slightest sound of music will cause a commotion. So long story short, absolutely suitable for older couples but a disappointment for teenagers and young adults. However, you can have fun there with your friends, but only in whispers. Regarding the layout of the bathrooms:
These are "only" the sanitary facilities of the motorhome pitch. I think four spacious bathrooms and a sink with hot and cold water for washing up are quite decent for a pitch. The campsite has two additional wash houses.

The small bathing lake opposite offers pleasant refreshment on hot days. It can be reached on foot through the forest via the Schmittenhöhe in just over 30 minutes.... - The Varus battlefield with the museum and the open-air museum. The campsite operator Kai is very helpful, courteous and friendly. Lots of permanent campers on site. I only have one major negative point to mention - as already mentioned - the sanitary facilities currently only have one shower - and the sanitary facilities are generally not very attractive. But I would also like to mention the sanitary facilities here, so as not to give the impression that we only have a shower :-)
We have four spacious bathrooms on the motorhome pitch and two sanitary blocks on the campsite.the lower one has a unisex toilet,... a ladies' area (two toilets, washing area, children's washbasin, changing table and a shower) and a men's area (one shower, two toilets, three urinals and a men's washroom).the upper one has a men's area (several washbasins, three showers, three toilets and three urinals and a ladies' area (several washbasins, three showers, four toilets).
Many of the permanent campers now also have their own toilet and some also have their own showers. 2015 will see the addition of another shower house.
VG, Kai StickelbroeckSamodejno prevedeno.- AS Z.julij 2013Super nice contact, the operator went out of his way to find out whether anything else was needed, whether he could help, etc. The bathing lake is quite small (and green) but nice and warm and a pure paradise for children. You can also go hiking/walking/mountain biking in the forest. Also highly recommended... for racing cyclists and motorcyclists! The site was very quiet, but is mainly occupied by permanent campers. However, there is a large tent/WoMo area, from where it is a very long walk to the sanitary facilities (and there is only 1 shower in total!). There is also a large group campsite for parties and a party barn. There is a typical kiosk (with super-fair prices!!!) and a really good restaurant with Bohemian cuisine (and also fair prices for TOP menus). Definitely the right place for short breaks. The campsite (permanent pitches and caravan and tent tourism) has two sanitary blocks. The lower one has a unisex toilet,... a women's area (two toilets, washing area, children's washbasin, changing table and a shower) and a men's area (one shower, two toilets, three urinals and a men's washroom), while the upper one has a men's area (several washbasins, three showers, three toilets and three urinals) and a women's area (several washbasins, three showers, four toilets).
Many of the permanent campers now also have their own toilet and some also have their own showers.
Another shower block will be added in 2015.

Barbara D.julij 2013Wonderfully quiet CP on the edge of the forest. You can hike straight from there. The sanitary facilities are simple but very clean. Very nice operators who are very dog-friendly. There is a small swimming lake and a playground right next to the site. The kiosk offers a bread roll service and various snacks. So there is everything you need to really relax. Also recommended as a transit site, as the A1 is not far away. The food in the adjoining Bohemian restaurant is also suuuuper. Nevertheless, I missed the feel-good... factor a bit, as 99% of the campers were permanent.
