- Hans N.January 2022PozitivnoWe like the site, the gravel pitches are ideal, a clean affair. The site makes a well-kept impression. Thanks to the different sized pitches, even very large camping vehicles can find a suitable pitch. The sanitary building is clean and pleasantly heated. The beach area is nicely designed.NegativnoThe tariffs are rather high, were "quietly increased" in 2021 (by paying the tourist tax additionally/separately; in 2020 still included in the plot price). But what really bothers me and I find absolutely outrageous is the reservation fee of CHF 50, which is neither deducted nor refunded. I enter all the data for the reservation online myself, the campsite has to do almost nothing. This CHF 50 is a huge rip-off. Please abolish or refund it. The waste water disposal is not worthy of 5 stars. In my vehicle, the drain is in the middle under the van, which makes it impossible to empty the tank cleanly. And if you have a pitch right next to the jackdaw, you can be happy when the departing campers (have to) dispose of their waste directly at your feet.Nice place, but reservation fee and waste water disposal do not fitMiralago is a year-round campsite, which is why we (exclusively) visit it in the winter months.Samodejno prevedeno.

This year we had to cancel our pitch at Camping Miralago (discovered through Landyachting) in beautiful Ticino for the 2nd time due to the pandemic. Last year we were credited the deposit for this year's booking. However, we had to pay almost CHF 400.00 again....
Now there is still a travel warning for Switzerland, which would result in a quarantine after the vacation. We hoped until the end that the entry regulations would change.
Today, a very rude employee from Miralago told me that I would only get half of the deposit refunded, i.e. CHF 242.00. But I wanted to make it clear to him that he should leave the total amount and we would then rebook for next year (this is how all campsites and hotels do it in Corona times).
He then became increasingly unfriendly and insulting, saying that we were the only Germans who were complaining and who wouldn't come because of the travel warning. Cancellation rules are cancellation rules.
He made me understand that he didn't care if I was unhappy, after all I wasn't a regular customer.....surely we could have become one. After all, the place is quite expensive.
It's such a shame, because we would have had a great pitch right by the water, but we can't let ourselves be treated like that. We've been to countless campsites, but I've never had to deal with such arrogance. We also have a company where the customer is king and so is anyone who wants to be a customer.

Very quick and competent process. The campsite is very nice and well frequented even in November. We felt very safe despite the corona crisis.
The evening sunset was the highlight of the day.
The pizza, which you could also take away, was excellent.
We will be back soon despite the rather expensive

Marc S.July 2020PozitivnoSensational location on Lake Maggiore with a view of the Maggia delta (Locarno) and the lake towards Italy. Sandy beach. Freshwater pool with beach bar. Saltwater pool on sunbathing lawn. Well-kept pitches. Top sanitary facilities. Beautiful Ai Fienile restaurant (see Trip Advisor). New owner Roland personally looks after the well-being of the guests. We have been guests since 2018 and will definitely be back.NegativnoWe have not found any disadvantages. If something is not working, a quick solution is always found. Everything was perfect in 2020.A paradise directly on Lake MaggioreIt's also a paradise because new friendships are always formed. Children (I have a 10-year-old daughter) get to know each other quickly and can do great things in the area. Cool children's program in the high season.
There's always a relaxed atmosphere and cool conversations at the pool bar, even among adults.

Most pitches have their own 16A electricity, gray, black & drinking water connection (included) Very friendly staff. Great sandy beach. Fantastic with a dog. It has its own dog beach and an agility meadow. In winter, everything is open for walking in Ticino, all along the lake. In January and February we only have to pay for 3 nights and can stay 4. What's the point of reprimanding campers on a daily basis? They keep changing and new ones keep coming. You're never done with it... I don't think it will work out in the long term if everything... is enforced "by hook or by crook".
