- Thomas s.August 2024Pozitivno- always has space because it's huge - plenty of offers for children such as water castle, playgrounds, sports field for ball sports, game hall (we did not find it) and much moreNegativno- huge = very many people (11000 at our time) - expensive as it is a resortQuite expensive and fullThe campsite is ok and there are some facilities for children such as a football, basketball, tennis or volleyball court. There is a large beach promenade, which is characterized by typical stone and cliff areas, but also offers a sandy beach. However, the ends of cables come out of it every now and... then^^ The lady at the check-in said that there are currently around 11,000 guests at this camping resort. This means that the main areas are accordingly overcrowded. The soccer pitch must have had 200 visitors in the evening and it was out of the question to have a relaxed kick of the ball back and forth. All in all, though, ok. The sanitary facilities were also clean.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Christian M.July 2024PozitivnoInfrastructure, restaurants and supermarketsNegativnoPartly very small pitches, sanitary facilities not always clean...Summer 2024 A Mare areaVery, very large complex. Lots of people, restless due to late night rest. Small pitches - we were in area A with a sea view.
Very expensive in high season with 3 people and a dog. The beach, the sea and the bay are a dream! Restaurants and supermarkets are great! The delivery service is great!
It's certainly more relaxed in the low season...Samodejno prevedeno. - Matthias W.September 2023PozitivnoModern wash houses, friendly staff, bathing areas, many restaurants, good locationNegativnovery expensive, cleanliness could be improved, some employees without considerationSize isn't everything . .I don't understand what criteria the ADAC uses to award this site a Superior rating every year.
There is a lot on offer, but the design and service could be of a much higher quality. The quality of the live bands in the evening program alone . . .
The entertainment program should definitely be expanded... for the adults!
The cleaning staff in the wash house (in my area) made an effort, but were not really effective . . .
(dirty toilet brushes, scraps of toilet paper on the walls for several days)
In area D, which is actually very central, the sound system in the evening is too much. The music from the Olivia Grill and the piazza are blasting at the same time.
There is no consideration for casualties when it comes to green maintenance, the occupied plots are mowed with a brush cutter, stones and the like fly through the area! I was even hit by a flying piece. That's just not on!
I also wondered why I had to specify the size of my vehicle when I made the reservation. When I arrived, I was allocated a great pitch in the 2nd row, the only problem was that only my caravan and awning would fit on the pitch. Luckily I had nice neighbors so I was able to park my car on their pitch.
In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is not right here! I'm not stingy on vacation, but a lot of things are too expensive here, which other campers also confirmed to me.
The site still has a lot of potential.Samodejno prevedeno. - lars w.July 2023PozitivnoVery large and many possibilitiesNegativno- The evening program could be a little better for the older children. But it's great for small children - Very expensive, bread rolls for 5 people (2 adults, 2 toddlers and 1 baby) not less than 17 € per day, bouncy castles on land and in the water 1/2 day 20 € full day 27 €, washing machine 8 € and dryer 6 €. The little train that crosses the site also costs money, around €6 or €7, but we didn't use it (because of this).Expensive but goodWe have been to Croatia several times. But since the introduction of the €, the prices are sometimes outrageous.
The vacation itself was good!
The site is very large and there are lots of hills, so don't forget your e-bike or e-scooter if you have one.Samodejno prevedeno. - Bernhard Z.May 2023PozitivnoThe location of the place, the cleanliness, ideal for dogs, the friendly staff and the priceNegativnoI booked with Adria Camping, the price did not fit, then I had to learn that Adria Camp is not responsible for me but an agency Cervia whose office was never occupied (during opening hours) On the homepage it is not clear that you have paid an agency.we have paid in Feb. 50.-€ more than in May. I don't think that's right The hot water is only 3 minutes when showering, and in May only 2 stores are open (with extremely high prices) you should be mobile.Mobile homeVery nice living container, very nice place, TV-SAT and WIFI.
Ideal for dogs and walkers, despite 2 days of rain there was no boredom.
Friendly staff, perfect cleanliness, unfortunately poor hot water supply.
We were in MAY, when everything was closed except for 2 markets and the restaurants, which was not apparent on the homepage.
We will certainly come back if possible in summer

Long walks to the sea, sanitary facilities are only averagely clean, although they are always cleaned.Only conditionally recommendedI can't recommend it, even though the ADAC rates it as a great place every year! There are much better places in IstriaSamodejno prevedeno.
- Piotr R.August 2022PozitivnoI liked the location, the proximity to Italy, the seaside plots are a different quality, the diversity of the terrain works to the advantage because it is not boring.NegativnoLarge=far away, to the pool from my parcel was 1950mVery nice campingOverall camping at a high level, large, each parcel of land different, they could be more neat, I ended up with clay in front of the trailer :(Samodejno prevedeno.
- Markus L.July 2022PozitivnoLocation by the sea, beautifully landscaped siteNegativnoDirty sanitary facilities, sound from all sides until midnight. Rip-off with a variety of extra costs for activities.Great area, dirty and noisy placeWe were on the site in the summer with 3 children. At first I was lucky that my mover managed to get my caravan up the hill. That would have been unthinkable by hand.
In the awning in the evening we had sound from the Olivia restaurant, the piazza and the beach bar until midnight. 3 music genres, a disaster....
Alcohol was served at the beach bar without an age limit. The result was drunken youths loitering in the wash house, scribbling, firing fire extinguishers and damaging wash basins. A security service should be considered here.
The floor was also cleaned, I think mainly the floor, because the toilet ceramics were constantly smeared with excrement.
There is a water trampoline in the bay in the sea. A fee is charged for its use, as well as for the use of a table tennis table. Last but not least, a small soft ice cream on the beach for the equivalent of €5. A no-go for a relatively expensive place. You feel ripped off here.
We might go to Croatia again, but certainly not to Camping Lanterna.Samodejno prevedeno. - Matthias T.July 2022PozitivnoRestaurants, leisure activities,Negativnocity-like complex, loud and restlessIt was worth a try...but 1x is enoughIt all started with an allocated Luxury Mare pitch (H173) that was not free. A family either missed the day of departure or something was wrong in the booking system. After a lot of back and forth (2 hours with a caravan in front of the pitch blocking everything...) someone from reception came (very... nice) and offered us another pitch. This was in the K area next to the Tuna Bay restaurant. So far so great.
Unfortunately, there was constant, heavy delivery traffic for the restaurant and in the evenings after work the staff would rush home on cars and motorcycles (never before 23:30). As the pitches are located directly between the road and the sea, the vehicles rattled past the WW 1m away. In addition, guests were constantly coming there with their cars to drive the family to the beach and then park somewhere.
In the meantime, we got new neighbors who had changed places because it was too noisy for them further up on the complex (on the hill, therefore howling engines) They now raved about the great peace and quiet on Tuna Bay Beach. You can see how loud it can be elsewhere.
In the end it was a really nice place, with lots of options, but far too loud and restless. Everyone drives everywhere in cars, mopeds and scooters because the paths are so wide and the site is also very hilly. We didn't get the spark. If you don't like peace and quiet until 23:30, live on a main road at home, but want to have the fantastic sea on your doorstep (if you live upstairs you've lost out and have already done your workout on the way to the sea) and like to drive everywhere by car, this is the perfect place for you.
Oh yes, and all for 133EURO / 3 people / night
Little things also annoyed us. Many things cost extra, even table tennis has to be booked and paid for. It's only a few euros, but it's a matter of principle.
I don't want to badmouth everything here, the place is good but you should bear the above in mind.Samodejno prevedeno. - Thomas P.July 2022PozitivnoWide range of activities, nothing is missingNegativnoVacation park, no campingHas nothing to do with camping ...So the place has everything you need, from the saltwater pool, tennis courts, basketball, pools with slides, beach bars, etc. But it simply has nothing to do with camping anymore. due to the size of the place you actually have a permanent noise level. the main road through the area was used during our... vacation by some funny contemporary to let his car permanently howl and drive with spinning tires. due to the trend of the time, you run the risk of being run over by people of all ages with the e-scooter, especially in the evening. This is now the case everywhere, and there are particularly many on the road here.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Gregor A.June 2022PozitivnoLarge pitches, modern and clean wash house. Great seaNegativnoUnfortunately there were some big differences in altitude and long distances. Food was not that great. The swimming pools unfortunately far too full and no rulesLight and shadowWe were here at Whitsun. It felt like the site was only 50% full as there were a lot of free pitches, especially at the back. Nevertheless, both water parks were packed. You had to be happy if you could get a standing place in the water. Swimming was out of the question. Although there are lifeguards,... they are busy chasing non-paying vacationers away from the expensive loungers. There are no bathing rules as we know them from Italy. Children (and adults) jump into the overcrowded pools from all sides. Our daughter was run over on the slide in the children's pool by a boy with a giant inflatable unicorn and pushed under water. Unfortunately, this was tolerated by the staff and not stopped.
Due to the size of the campsite, we had our bikes with us. However, it's all uphill and downhill here. Unfortunately, our 5-year-old daughter couldn't manage the bike due to the inclines. Everything is quite spacious and you have to walk 15 - 20 minutes to get to the children's entertainment in the evening.
What I have never experienced at any other campsite is that a lot of guests use their cars within the campsite to get to the pool, the entertainment, the beach or to go shopping. One of the two markets on site has its own parking lot. That says it all!
Communication with the staff is in English. Some of them also speak German. The staff were also always friendly to us.
The wash house at our planned pitch was currently being renovated and the distance to the nearest wash house was unacceptable for us. We quickly changed our pitch, which was no problem at all. We were given a fantastic, large pitch right in the bay. However, the regular ascent to the wash house was very tedious. I once counted 46 steps. If you have to go up here several times a day with the dishes or even the camping toilet, then it becomes a bit of a sportSamodejno prevedeno. - Gunnar B.September 2021Pozitivno- Wash houses all new and clean! - Nice plaza with some stores, - very quiet despite its size, - first-class swimming pool with 15 pools and several slides,Negativno- Restaurants too expensive and food only mediocre, - a camping store on the site is missingWe were thrilled! Only our 2nd 5 star rating! This place blew us away! With the 3 star ratings here, we didn't expect much, but were extremely pleasantly surprised! The check-in was relatively stress-free for the family via a separate waiting area, but took a very long time of over an hour. We were allocated a parking space - but we couldn't get... into it without a mover. (And I've only had that problem once in my camper life). Nice neighbors then helped us push it. The pitches are large enough and typically gravelled in Croatia. We only paid EUR 20 per night in the low season and the pitch would easily be worth three times that! The pools were in the best condition, there were well-kept green areas everywhere and the sea also had something for everyone with a sandy beach, dog beach or pebble beach. The campsite is extremely large (it takes almost an hour to walk from left to right! (5km)) However, considering the size of the site, there is no store for camping items - if something is missing or broken, you have to drive 15km to Porec. The supermarkets are expensive but well stocked, the various bakeries on the site offer frozen baked goods at Apotek prices (baked rolls 1,- EUR!!!) We then went to the nearest supermarket outside the site and always got the rolls there. The restaurants are rather middle class in terms of food but the prices are also far too expensive (0.3L beer 5,- EUR) The square with all the small stores is well laid out and there is something for every taste. Live music plays there in the evenings. There is a lot on offer for children in the entertainment area, but almost everything comes at an extra charge. But that's what we know from Croatia. The wash houses were all new and super clean! Very well thought out, because you could do the washing up outside and watch the children play in their own play areas at the same time! We would love to come back!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Stephan K.August 2021PozitivnoClean washing facilitiesNegativnoImplementation of infection protection (COVID-19)The health of the guests is secondaryInfection protection is only available here for the glossy brochure. Employees in restaurants, supermarkets etc. wear masks under their noses without motivation, no attention is paid to distance, number of people at pools etc. All pitches are occupied. All pitches are occupied. Camping guests who shop... in the supermarket without a mask are not made aware of the missing mask. Unacceptable! Obviously only the money of the vacationers is important here, but not their health.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Stefan S.July 2021Pozitivnogood infrastructure Separate plots many possibilities for childrenNegativnononeVery small despite sizeDespite the size of the site, we were impressed that you have a lot of privacy. - Thomas E.June 2021PozitivnoMany possibilities for leisure activities Very clean sanitary facilitiesNegativnoPools without water Very slow service at check-in and check-outNever againThe season has only just begun due to the coronavirus. But why are the pools without water and food stores not open?
But the prices are as high as in high season.
The staff at check-in and check-out were probably still in hibernation.
Prices quoted on arrival suddenly doubled when paying.
I will not be back.Samodejno prevedeno. - Maik W.August 2020Pozitivnolarge pitch in the A area, clean beach area, clean sanitary facilitiesNegativnoToo much space, overpriced pricesHuge family campsiteWe stayed as a family for 10 nights in Lanterna. Due to the coronavirus, there was a lot of free space in our area. The place is huge, you need some time to explore everything. The entire beach path alone takes 30 minutes. The very clean sanitary facilities were positive, they were cleaned several times... a day. There are several restaurants and bistros on the site, but they are relatively expensive. The restaurants on the access road to the campsite are considerably cheaper. It is worth cycling the 10 to 15 minutes to eat very well.
You can also take a cab boat to neighboring Novigrad for a short excursion.
In the evening there is a lot on offer on the central piazza, live bands, entertainment and a children's disco on Sundays. We also recommend the ice cream bar in the D area directly on the promenade.
We didn't visit the aqua park due to the current situation, as there were quite a few little vacationers there.Samodejno prevedeno. - Maria S.June 2020PozitivnoLocationNegativnoEndless tents, mobile home accommodation. Built-up beach. Noisy and a bit dingy. Disproportionately expensiveTent and mobile home city without cleaning staffLanterna has upgraded with tents and mobile homes. These are relatively unkempt. Now in June, the campsites are not cleared of leaves. The campers have to do this themselves. Extremely expensive provision of food and drink on the campsite. Restaurants overpriced. A seasonal permanent pitch near the beach... is 6000 euros for German-speaking people, Czechs get special prices. If you're looking for a racket and Italian fun, you're in good hands here. Nothing for high standards even if the prices suggest it. Staff distant and rude. An alternative for the average all-inclusive tent camper.Samodejno prevedeno.

- Andreas H.September 2019PozitivnoEverything you need or want on site. Food + service top. Top pitch size. Top beach. Suitable for children. Extra dog beach + pitchesNegativnoNo bus service to nearby towns discovered. For motorhome drivers, this means using a cab boat or motorhome for sightseeing. Otherwise carRediscovered after 26 years and disappointed after another 2 yearsI was back on Lanterna for the first time in 26 years. And we were thrilled. Like new, rebuilt, great sanitary facilities (not all renovated yet!). We were there in the low season! In the high season, it's definitely hell there, but we had a super quiet time. The staff were super helpful and friendly.... WLAN free of charge. Sometimes slightly poor reception. But FREE, so you can't complain. There are several restaurants and barbecues on site. Always very tasty and cheap food. The 3 supermarkets have everything you need. Restaurants and supermarkets are a bit more expensive than outside, but you don't have to drive and spend time and gas! There are French bakeries all over the campsite. Bread and rolls are tastier here than in the supermarket. There are French croissants and chocolate rolls, as well as pudding puffs. They really do taste like in France (my own experience in France). The bread rolls and baguettes could be a little better, but they are sufficient for a vacation. There are really worse things. Anyone who complains about the beach on the campsite doesn't know Croatia and is wrong there. There is a white sandy beach (absolutely abnormal for Croatia), a pebble beach and of course a natural beach with rocks. Just like it used to be everywhere. 3 km of beach offer all possibilities. Then you have to get moving and walk to the next beach. A little exercise on vacation is also ok I think. The campsite is quiet in the low season. Be careful in high season. There is Oktoberfest, beer festival etc. Then I think it gets loud. But then you look for a place that is not near the events and from 22:30h it was quiet every night. Live music for all ages at the beach restaurant. But they really did finish at 22:30. The parties are announced in advance (Internet) and last 1-2 days and then sometimes go on longer at night. If you know this and don't want to, you can simply leave the square on these days and go into town to enjoy the evening. If you find the quarry opposite Novigrad too noisy, you must have been in area K. There are almost only Premium Mare pitches here. These are expensive and have a barbecue, parasol, waste water and fresh water on the pitch and direct access to the beach. These are too expensive for us and unfortunately right where the quarry is opposite. It was quiet for us in area C, as well as A+B+D. You heard almost nothing here. Occasionally an excavator loading a ship. These areas are cheaper. We booked our pitch online and also got the 14 for 12 offer. So the total price for a comfort pitch was around 29 euros. The price is also ok for the service and the sanitary facilities, some of which have fountains and a spa feel. The comfort pitches almost all have water on the pitch or right next to it. You can bring your own parasol and barbecue. The Mare pitches are on the beach, which we wouldn't want, as everyone walks right past them all day long. Our Comfort pitch in area C was so big that we wouldn't have been able to fit just our caravan with awning and car on it. There would also have been room for a second caravan. Pitches divided by hedges. So super. All pitches are between 80-120 square meters. Some even 200sqm for megaliners (according to the description). But we only saw a few 80sqm pitches. These are more standard pitches and not divided by hedges. All in all, a great site, great service, you can spend 14 days there without leaving the site (if you like it). Leisure activities such as paragliding, water skiing etc. in the adjoining hotel next to area A. You can also take a cab boat to Novigrad and Porec and leave your car there. For 2 people this is still worthwhile if you offset parking fees and gasoline. The new pool facilities with slides are great for children! There is a "Tommy" supermarket nearby in Tar. It's ok, but a bit more expensive. In Porec there is Kaufland, Lidl, DM and various other shops. Update 2018: never again! Prices have risen by 150% within 2 years. Mobile homes more important than campers.... It's all about money and stars. Update 2019: even more mobile homes. Campers are being driven away more and more. Even left a day earlier.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Thorsten M.August 2019Great campsite with one small drawbackAt first, the campsite makes an excellent impression. Over the course of two weeks' vacation, however, you have to make a few (minor) compromises. On arrival, we discovered that the pitch allocated to us was too small for our caravan, even though we had specified the size of the caravan when booking.... But it was no problem at all, we were able to rebook at reception without any problems. We were even able to find a space for our friends right next to us. Really great, especially the friendliness of the young lady at reception. Our pitch in section A was wonderfully shady and very close to the sea. The sanitary building was also not far away. However, there were one or two problems there. In our opinion, the sanitary building is too small. There were regularly unpleasant waiting times at the showers in the evening. Even the toilets were often "overloaded" (especially in the morning). And the cleanliness (at least in this sanitary building - we don't know where else) was not always impeccable, although there were always cleaning staff on site. The design itself was also not so great, especially for the women, as everything is very open. Apart from that, the cleanliness of the entire complex and the beach was impeccable. There is a fresh water connection directly at the pitch, but somehow there is a lack of waste water disposal facilities. Otherwise, the possibilities on the site are gigantic. Great restaurants, great pool areas, excellent shopping facilities and the entertainment programs were also impressive. All in all, a really recommendable resort, although we probably won't go there again as it's a bit too big for us personally. But that's just our personal opinion, for which the campsite is not responsible. The star deduction is due to the problems in the sanitary facilities.Samodejno prevedeno.
