The CP is a large meadow and was quite sparsely occupied, which benefited the peace and quiet. It is only a short walk to the Memel. A wonderful ambience with a pond. Very quiet. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Campfires are possible in many designated places and firewood is available and freely accessible. Fishing is possible on the Memel, as well as splashing around in the water. Swimming is not... recommended because the current is very strong and can be quite life-threatening (my 50 gram bottom fishing lead drifted away in this current). The ponds and covered seating areas are beautiful to look at and fit perfectly into the overall picture. Nobody has to be afraid of mosquitoes because of the ponds. The ponds are stocked with plenty of fish so that no mosquito has a real chance. We didn't need any scented candles or other mosquito repellents during our stay. A small store for these essentials is 4.5 km away. The staff in the store in question don't speak much English anyway, but a rough understanding with hands and feet is always possible. For the fishing licenses, the friendly lady at the campsite reception wrote me a note for the woman in the store.Samodejno prevedeno.

The camping crew make the guests' well-being their own and also speak some German and English. There are huge pitches and optional shade at the edge of the forest. There... is also a large number of prepared barbecue areas. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained, the camper kitchen is perfectly equipped and you can also sit there in bad weather. The operator comes every day to ask if everything is okay, he is very concerned about the guests with me, for example, he drove to the next town to buy a fishing license, for 1 Momat 5.58 euros I could not believe it guest. Uwe B.June 2012The campsite is located in a large forest clearing in the Nemunas Valley (Memel). The riverbank with its fine sandy beach is about 400m down the hill. Here you can swim, fish and canoe. Cycling tours are also possible along the river, but you (still) have to use the road. We think the Memel valley is... at its most beautiful from here to 10 km before Kaunas. It's worth spending a few days here. The campsite is very spacious and offers many covered seating areas with barbecue facilities. Everything makes a very well-kept impression, like a large park. We felt right at home. When we visited in June 2012, a new building was under construction. The reception had been completed. More toilets and showers were being built at the back. The owner of the campsite told me that he will have completed the extension in August 2012. Then the only negative aspect will be eliminated: At the moment there is only one shower and toilet each for men and women. But that will be history from August... The owner of the campsite is a beekeeper and is happy to provide information about bees and his special profession. The acacia honey is highly recommended :-) We will definitely be back when we visit Vilnius in a few years' timeSamodejno prevedeno.
