Of course, the almost constantly beautiful, sunny weather contributed to this, but the site itself also impressed us with its location right by the sea, without a fence. A lot has happened on the site in recent years,... for example a large and modern sanitary and kitchen building has been built. We used one of the private bathrooms again because it is simply practical for just under two weeks.
The restaurant on site is highly recommended, the menu is small but there is something for everyone and it tastes excellent.
There is a small supermarket with a wide range of fresh bread rolls.
Graal Müritz is a small, tranquil seaside resort with supermarkets, restaurants, a petrol station and much more. You can let the wind blow around your ears on the pier.
A few kilometers, about 20 minutes by car, you are at the ferry across the Warnow in Warnemünde. There is a small harbor for cruise ships here, an impressive spectacle when these giants arrive or depart.
Another recommended excursion destination is Karl's strawberry farm in Rövershagen, the city of Rostock, Rostock Zoo or the Ozeaneum in Stralsund.

We were camping for the first time and the lady at the reception took the time to explain everything to us in peace, thank you again. The sanitary facilities are better than in many a star hotel. There are no permanent pitches for the tents, cars can be parked close to the tents, there are plenty of very good sanitary facilities and the price-performance ratio is good. It is particularly nice that small campfires are still allowed on the beach and are cleared... away the next morning. The fee is also okay. The children's pool is really cute, my daughter was sad when she got too big for it. The food in the Nordlicht used to be better and cheaper, staff shortage sends its regards. But the ice cream in the café has improved to my taste and is now very good. The children's playground has a muddy area that is somehow always in use, a tunnel slide, soccer area, swings and TT table. It's all there. If you love the Baltic Sea and camping, this is the place for you, whether with friends or family...Samodejno prevedeno.

Otherwise, you can go there if you like it loud, overcrowded, criss-crossing, if you like it dark with black sand and possibly mud, if you like dog shit and barking everywhere, if you don't like quiet times, if... you don't like shower hoses to wash yourself properly. Or if you don't like the sea air on the beach in the evening, but want to breathe in the smoke from the many campfires. This is absolutely the right place for you!!!! You're not even really wet when they turn off again, and then you're lathered up and looking for the button... but everything can be done...Our weekend tripFrom the friendly welcome at reception to the young man who allocated us the pitch, everyone was very friendly. The pitch for our motorhome was ok.
What bothered us were the masses of dogs doing their business everywhere, although it is usually disposed of, but it is simply disgusting. One dog is having a wee and the next thing you know a child is running through the... mess with bare feet. This bothered us enormously, as did the fact that the four-legged friends were taken to the beach, even though it is expressly forbidden. Modern campsites have extra dog areas.
The sanitary facilities were clean so far, but it is not understandable that the light is also dependent on the shower time. As long as you are showering, the light goes on and then goes off again, so you are in the dark or you have to take a flashlight with you. We, a couple. With a large tent and dog, arrived at the end of August. We thought it was great that there were special pitches for large tents like ours and thanks to the tree trunk in front of it, no van or WOMO could get on it. There are also parking spaces right next to the tent.
Everything... was nicely shaded under trees, which our four-legged friend was very happy about, as was the directly adjacent dog beach (or alternatively a forest for walking). The dog beach is well maintained and less than 2 minutes away.
Poop bag stations are scattered around the site We would love to come back.
