"Mass people attitude or: How much tourism can a country still cope with? - This site is very, very large and has to accommodate around 1800 to 2400 guests at moderate capacity. The sanitary facilities are by no means designed for this and look correspondingly unappetizing after (mis)use; even the hourly cleaning staff can't save anything, especially in the evening and at night. The whole place is stuffy, you can't feel a breeze through the many tall trees, which only provide limited shade. The beach is very narrow, there are 2 reserved sections where you can rent sun loungers and parasols. The prices at the beach bar are overpriced, everything is served in plastic cups. The crowds are very large and the staff are overwhelmed. This applies in principle to the entire campsite. It should perhaps be well organized, but it doesn't work out that way. There is a fence along the entire beach with 4 access doors, one door for each section of the campsite, which can only be opened with an authorization card. You feel like you're locked in a cage. There is no toilet directly on the beach, which causes some parents to send their child to the side into the bushes to do their business - PFUI !!! The distances to the showers are enormous - understandable - but you can't get back to the pitch with clean feet as sand is stirred up and carried along with every step. Well, what can I say: it was my first camping vacation in this respect. If you want to go to the pizzeria in the evening, you have to book in advance: here, too, the staff are otherwise not enough to cope with the mass tourism. The food tastes good as long as you don't expect anything special. We came back to Tuscany from Paestum via Rome, and we would have liked more relaxation... However, with such a high volume of tourists, I don't think that's possible anywhere in Italy! At least not in August!

"Beautifully situated near the beach - The sanitary facilities have been renovated and are cleaned all day in high season. They were really spotlessly clean! A blessing! You can only pay cashless on the whole site. A bit stupid if the connection in the supermarket with the bank doesn't work, but we're on vacation...! Brilliant location for biking. Unfortunately, the parking lot has few shaded spaces.

"Good but not cheap! - Lots of privacy and shade. Sanitary facilities are good, but quite cramped. No cars on site, therefore very relaxed with small children, because no traffic -Very great MTB trails! From flowing to steep and technical -Price: 380 euros per week even in low season - No showers on the beach. So you have to go back and forth to the campsite several times and the showers at the campsite are very sandy. - Hammock not allowed

"Pure relaxation in nature - We booked for one night and then stayed for our whole vacation week. We really liked it for a relaxing time of cozy camping without much activity. The site was quiet due to the season, in high season it will be full and therefore very large. Sanitary is not super-new, but was ok and clean. The pine forest and the proximity to the sea are wonderful.

Puntala is the campsite in Castiglione della Pescaia that offers you everything you need for a holiday close to nature. PITCHES There are about 400 pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tent trailers and about 170 pitches for tents. The spatial …distribution and the lush vegetation ensure peace and privacy. SEA AND BEACH This splendid stretch of coast opposite the Tuscan archipelago is almost always calm, with a little more swell in the afternoon. The PuntAla campsite guarantees safe, clean water certified by international environmental quality control organisations. Umbrellas and sun loungers are placed next to each other on the beach so that all guests can enjoy the view of the Punta Ala marina and the islands of Elba and Giglio. MINICLUB The campsite staff look after the children and organise scavenger hunts, dance and show evenings, open-air cinema and various games. PLAYGROUND Castles, pirate ships, space stations, slides, bridges, merry-go-rounds, swings and seesaws: countless games for shared fun and fabulous stories. RESTAURANT ISOLOTTO The Isolotto restaurant offers a wide range of dishes: from the typical dishes of the Italian tradition to delicious Tuscan dishes such as tortelli maremmani and braised wild boar, as well as raw fish and seafood and sushi. RESTAURANT CENTRALE The typical dishes of Italian and Tuscan cuisine for a quick lunch and dinner. STRANDKIOSK From late morning until moonlight, a few metres from the beach line you will find PuntAla's small beach kiosk, where you can enjoy the view of Elba with your feet in the sand or in the shade of the veranda. Here we offer you a refreshing drink, a light lunch or an aperitif with tapas at sunset. In the evening you can enjoy an atmospheric dinner served at a table on the beach. SUPERMARKET Here you can find food from Italy and abroad for every dietary plan, traditional products of the region, consumer goods and personal care products.
