Arrival and check-in were extremely friendly and uncomplicated. We were able to choose one of 4 pitches. The pitches are large enough and equipped with electricity, water and drainage. The sanitary building was very clean and you have plenty of... space for all your errands. The playground is also adequate and well maintained. The highlight was the outdoor pool next door, which is included in the price of the pitch. We were able to use it straight away due to the temperatures.
The site has no frills and feels tailored to the Rhön. It fits! There are no restaurants on site..... but you don't really need them either. It's about a 15-minute walk to Bischofsheim. One or the other also delivers directly to the campsite.
The sanitary facilities are clean and sufficiently well equipped.
For our kids... (aged 10 and 13), the skate park and the outdoor pool are of course the big highlights.
The skate park is free of charge and you get swimming tickets for the outdoor pool when you arrive. So admission is free here too.
When we were there, we were glad to have the outdoor pool. It was damn hot!!!
Hikes, for example up the Kreuzberg, are very easy from the campsite. The reward is a good monastery beer and a hearty meal!
Shopping at the campsite is only possible to a limited extent - but that's not really a problem, as there are plenty of shops in Bischofsheim.
We were traveling with three families this time. We were allocated the "Rondell" pitch. It was perfect for us, as the three of us were able to set up very well here.
Can only recommend the site. If you don't need high-end sanitary blocks, entertainment, star restaurants or the like, you're in good hands here. Camping is still camping here!!!

The pitches are generously sized. The sanitary building is centrally located and offers very spacious, always clean toilets and showers as well as cabins with washbasins, some of which are handicapped accessible.... In the same building there is a large scullery, laundry room with washing machines and dryers as well as a separate drying room for laundry. There is also a solarium and a small library on the upper floor, and the neighboring outdoor pool can be used free of charge.
There is a small kiosk where you can buy fresh bread rolls in the morning on pre-order, and at the weekend there was also a good selection of cakes. There is also a small, helpful range of everyday necessities.
The Adrian family who run the site are always friendly and very keen to make your stay a pleasant one. The site is very well maintained. Water and electricity are easily accessible. The nearby road is slightly audible on the front pitches, but this didn't bother us too much.

Great surroundings make up for it.Overall, the site is in a really nice location and it was also very quiet at night. We didn't like the fact that the pitches are rather close together and that you are told how to position your car at reception as soon as you arrive. We would have liked to have had less presentation, which would have... been possible on the pitch without any restrictions for the others. Sanitary facilities were good, but the washing-up room in the basement was ok. Quite a lot of prohibitions or unfriendly signs about what to do and what not to do. A little more friendliness would certainly be nice here. Overall, however, the site is a great starting point for hikes and that makes up for it.Samodejno prevedeno.

Many permanent campers, but also enough space for tourists, at least in the summer months. In the winter... months, the tourist pitches are probably also available for winter season campers. The site is well frequented, so it is advisable to make a reservation or inquiry.
Bischofsheim is a lovely little town with many restaurants.
The ladies at reception are very nice. There is a bread roll service.
The price is quite reasonable for this good quality pitch. We paid €20 for 2 people, caravan and car in September. Well-kept lawns and hedges between the rows. The sanitary building in the middle of the site is new, modern, well-kept and clean. Fresh bread rolls are available daily on the pitch and must be ordered by 5pm the evening before. The area around the campsite is beautiful for walking and hiking.NegativnoPaths and plots could be a little wider and larger, you have to unhook the caravan on the way and maneuver it onto the pitch, difficult without a mover for larger caravans.Beautiful, organized, not too big.Small, private pitch, very well organized and maintained. The town of Bischofsheim is within walking distance and you can get everything you need here. There are also large supermarkets outside. Simply camping and relaxation. There is no chasing after the latest trends here. This is a good thing and should be preserved, because that's what camping is all about. That's why you still meet... many "old school" campers on this site, quiet, reserved, but always ready for a nice chat and tips. A great atmosphere. We felt very comfortable, which is also due to the free entry to the outdoor pool. The sanitary facilities, the scullery and all other facilities are very clean and attractive. At the reception you can buy... a few things for daily use, ice cream and cold drinks. We used the bread roll service every day. The mini golf course is a bit outdated, but we still enjoyed playing a round or two. Five-minute showers cost €0.50, and the time only runs when the water is running => more than enough time! The site is an ideal starting point for excursions and hikes in the vicinity (Kreuzberg approx. 1.5 - 2 hours on foot, Wasserkuppe approx. 20 minutes by car...) For tent guests, it would be desirable if there were a lounge (possibly with small cooking facilities) for cold or rainy days. You're not cramped here like on so many campsites. The pitches and paths are really spacious. The sanitary facilities have to be praised, the scullery is second to none. The outdoor pool next door (free entry) is cozy and without the hustle and bustle.... The coin-operated showers should not have been there, that's stuff from the last century! Also not in the spirit of relaxation is the rush on departure (until 11 am). This is very much in the way of a chilled Sunday breakfast! The barrier doesn't close until 12:30, so a little more goodwill is urgently needed! After all, there's not exactly a queue of new guests at the end of the weekend.Samodejno prevedeno.

There is a new outdoor pool right next to it, which can be used free of charge. The campsite itself is quite small, but the sanitary facilities are really clean. The only two points of criticism: there is a road next door, so you can hear the noise... of cars from time to time, even at night. There is only a bread roll service - nothing else, no beer garden, no snack sales... You have to drive about 10 minutes to the small town of Bischofsheim to eat out.
