We found the site good - it also offered shady spots on hotter days. The sanitary facilities are always clean in my opinion, but rather below average in terms of facilities and number. It's a 5-minute bike ride into town, and... there's a petrol station and supermarket right at the entrance (so you can also walk there). The site is perfect for exploring the cycle path along the canal or cycling to Norrköping (approx. 1 hour on very well-developed cycle paths along the E22). The proximity to the E22 is audible, but not disturbing. The site was mainly visited by Swedes and there were few permanent campers. The site is very easy to reach. Large pitches. Beautiful cycle path to where the canal flows into the Baltic Sea. Stroll around Söderköpping and enjoy the best ice cream (huge portions) in SwedenSamodejno prevedeno.

Unfortunately, at the beginning of June the grass on this pitch was already quite dry and with the gravel, the whole thing didn't look very inviting. The reception was not manned when we arrived, but you can reach the owner, who is very friendly,... by phone and he opened the barrier for us. There is also no shade on the pitch. But the Götha Canal is wonderful to explore by bike. Söderköpping is a sleepy little town where the word "stress" doesn't seem to occur. Beautiful old houses, avenues and a park that invites you to linger. Astrid Lindgren's Martida was filmed here. The sanitary facilities are a little older, but still clean. Unfortunately, the walk to these facilities is a bit long and if you are in a hurry, you might have problems. In addition to the price, electricity costs 45 crowns per day.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Thorsten M.August 2017Pozitivnodirectly on the Göta Canal, close to SöderköpingNegativnononeCampsite directly on the Göta CanalWe chose this campsite during our vacation in Sweden because we wanted to see the Göta Canal. We were not disappointed at this site, as it is located directly on the Göta Canal. You can see the boats passing by from the pitches. We cycled from there to the beginning/end of the canal and it felt like... we could have cycled along the canal forever in the other direction. Söderköping can also be easily reached by bike. The reception was friendly. We got a pitch even without pre-booking. The pitches were not huge, but sufficient. Both the barrier and access to the sanitary blocks are operated with a chip card. However, showering is free of charge. We were not so happy that there are no washbasins in the toilets and that you have to use them in the shower area. However, we enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed a day longer than we had planned and were able to visit the impressive lock staircase in Berg.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Johannes D.June 2017PozitivnoNähe zum Götakanal, gut zum Fahrrad fahren und wandern.NegativnoEigentlich nix.Näher am Götakanal geht fast nicht!Der Platz ist gut gelegen und ohne Probleme zu finden. Die Angabe der Öffnungszeiten stimmte leider nicht mit den Angaben auf der Webseite überein. Der Platz liegt zwar an einer viel befahrenen Straße, die stört aber nicht. Leider waren die Sanitärräume nicht sehr sauber. Jemand hat es wohl nicht mehr... in die Toilette geschafft und lustig vor sich hin gebrochen. Auch scheint die Benutzung der Toilettenspülung nicht allen bekannt zu sein. Trotzdem war es ein ruhiger und erholsamer Aufenthalt, trotz zeitweiligem Regen. Söderköping ist (in Schweden) für seine Eisdiele bekannt (Smultronställe), allerdings ist das Eis nicht selbstgemacht, sondern kommt aus der Fabrik. Verziert ist es aber super und viel ist es auch.

The town of Sönderköping is within easy walking distance.Samodejno prevedeno.- Ute R.August 2016PozitivnoLocation to Söderköping.NegativnoPitch feeling, lots of coming and goingHardly possible closer to the Göta CanalWe were close to the Göta Canal for a week. That was actually good. However, there was a bit of a pitch feeling all around. Lots of coming and going. The upper part of the pitch would have been nicer. Here there was a direct view of the canal without a dyke. There were also more caravans there and there... were also holidaymakers who stayed for more than two days. Reception always manned by friendly staff. There are bread rolls, drinks and ice cream as well as free WLAN access. There is a supermarket not far from the pitch. The easiest way to reach Söderköping is by bike along the canal. Approx. 2 km. A visit to Stockholm is also possible. It is 170 km away. We opted for a Park & Ride lot at the Globen subway station. 25 crowns for a day's parking. Sanitary facilities: two buildings can only be opened with the Götakanal service card (like all service facilities at the site). We had one card for two people. Two showers in the main sanitary building. Free of charge, one shower with storage facilities, the second not. Everything was clean and bright. Despite good occupancy, we only had to wait once for a free shower. Very close to the E22 - but not annoying. We would certainly use the site again. But then not for a week.Samodejno prevedeno.
