Mandy S.September 2019PozitivnoPeace and quiet, fresh bread rolls, beautiful landscape and nature, Soca Trail hiking trail right next to the campsite (luckily there was a bus back from Bovec)NegativnoSecluded (for many people this is certainly the attraction), access very limited due to mountain passes, no grocery store nearbyIdyllic but too remote for usThe first impression was beautiful, the landscape is great, but as city dwellers we quickly reached our limits. Surrounded by mountains that are enchanting, the options for those who are barely hikers and non-cyclists were very limited. But that's apparently the way it is in the mountains, you're a bit... cut off (we're more sea vacationers). The sun came over the mountains quite late, it disappeared quickly in the afternoon and it was correspondingly chilly in September. The Soca was 10 degrees, but my husband bathed in it almost every day. The groundsman was very serious and distant, but you hardly need him. The bread rolls were fresh and tasty early on. The restaurant is very cozy, but we didn't try the pizzas (unfortunately there's nothing else to eat). Unfortunately, you have to drive a long way to the nearest grocery store in Bovec. The approach to Soca is from 2 sides over passes (not recommended for caravans, we only read about it afterwards), so you would actually have to travel via Italy if you are traveling with a trailer.Samodejno prevedeno.- Georg T.July 2019Pozitivnothe nature and surroundings are worth every tripNegativnolimited shopping facilities on the square - the pizza makes up for it ;-)Beautifully situated campsite on the SocaThe campsite is very large and located directly on the Soca. A suspension bridge crosses the Soca at the campsite. Locals and tourists bathe here, which can get crowded during the day. The campsite itself is a large meadow, without pitches, so that you can get a little closer to each other (intentionally... or unintentionally). There is a small bar with pizza service on site. You can also get bread and rolls and some cold cuts here. We were there over a weekend in July and it was quite crowded. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was relaxed. Waste separation is a top priority - as it is throughout Slovenia. The neighboring town of Bovec is only a few kilometers from the campsite, and a cable car ride up Kanin (2,200 m) is highly recommended on hot days - there is still some snow there. Of course you can also climb up ;-) Otherwise, the surrounding area offers something for every hiking enthusiast and the large Soca troughs are right next to the campsite - an incredible natural spectacle.Samodejno prevedeno.

The sanitary facilities were adequate and very clean. We were also able to watch the World Cup final while enjoying a delicious pizza. A very nice campsite. The Soca is very impressive and ice-cold. Ideal for hiking and relaxing.NegativnoIt might be too secluded for some.Camping can be so beautiful.We were in the Soca Valley for the first time at the end of August and will definitely be back. A campsite in a fantastic location and absolutely quiet - camping can be so beautiful! The site is not parceled out, not "regulated" and without any form of entertainment. We found the clientele to be a nice... mix, somewhat more mature hikers with camper vans, families or young couples with tents or even individual bikers who were only there for one night. Next to the reception there is a small store for the essentials and a restaurant. You can buy firewood from the operator and use it for the barbecues provided (for barbecues or open fires). There is a lovely bathing area on the Soca right next to the campsite (Kneipp temperature!). There is a bus stop about 500 m away; a bus leaves here several times a day for Kranjska Gora or Bovec. This campsite is ideal for hiking in the surrounding mountains or along the Soca. It is easy to reach and still offers peace and quiet. Children can run around and play on the site. There are fire bowls all over the site that can be used. We were here in mid-August 2016 and it was not overcrowded despite the peak season.... You are free to choose your pitch on the extensive grounds and there are no strict parcelling off or pitch numbers. Families with children are in good hands here. No pitches, very friendly staff. The surroundings are fantastically beautiful, you can start hikes directly from the campsite and swim in the Soca. It is allowed to make campfires. Here you can find peace and relaxation. Ideal starting point for hikes. Located directly on the Soca with an entry point for canoeists. The staff were friendly, the sanitary facilities clean, modern and well maintained.... Every day except Sundays, the supermarket on wheels comes to the campsite with everyday necessities. Very important for us: our dogs were welcome :-) We will definitely come back here on our next visit to Slovenia. TOP!Samodejno prevedeno.

Here you can still stand wherever you want... nothing parceled out. Unfortunately, you rarely find places like this anymore. The site is generously laid out in several areas and everyone can find a nice spot here. The sanitary facilities are modern and always well maintained.... In the morning you get fresh bread rolls and in the evening you can sit outside in the on-site restaurant and enjoy the excellent trout or pizza... with a cold beer... perfect. A suspension bridge leads from the campsite to a beautiful bathing spot on the Soca. This is also where a beautiful gorge begins, at the start of which the kids discovered cliff jumping... Great fun. But the water is very cold. There are many beautiful hiking trails in the area. It's also definitely worth booking a rafting or canyoning tour with one of the agencies in Bovec or Kobarid. Our 3 children (12-15) loved it. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation on a campsite that is unfortunately very rare. We will definitely be back.Samodejno prevedeno.

The site is located directly on the Soca at one of the small suspension bridges and is very clean. You can choose your own pitch. The terrain is flat and there are mainly grass pitches. The sanitary facilities are very modern and were always very clean. The playground is also very nice for small children.Samodejno prevedeno.

The staff were friendly. There is no store nearby but you can buy the essentials on site. If you are looking for nature, this is the place to be.Samodejno prevedeno.

Ulrike G.July 2011We really liked it here. The pitches are not divided into plots and you could stand wherever you wanted. There is grass everywhere with individual trees. The new sanitary building (at the back) is very well equipped. You can do activities on the Soca (kayaking etc), direct access. We cycled into the... neighboring valley. Very nice tour. There is also a hiking trail at the end. You can also get there by car. From here, a hike along the Soca towards its source is also a great experience. There are covered seating areas for campers.Samodejno prevedeno.
