We wanted to stay for 4 days and left after two nights, which was possible thanks to the uncomplicated nature.
The site is certainly nice in the low season if you have a choice of pitches. We would have liked to be a little closer... to the lake in the forest but it was completely full and narrow and so we ended up on the road where there was a lot of traffic (people, cars, bicycles etc). So it was very noisy.
There would have been a nicer sanitary building further down. The upper one was very old, dark and sometimes really dirty (because it was so crowded). You had to queue to wash up and the water in the shower was very weak and uncontrolled hot/cold. Garbage cans overflowed until the evening.
We had to pay €75 per night for this (4 people/dog/VW bus/electricity), which is unfortunately poor value for money.
The lake is very beautiful, the kiosk and the pizza were great. There is a lot on offer, but everything costs extra.

From secluded spots behind hedges to pitches right on the beach. From noisy to quiet... the best thing is that there are no pitches, just separate areas and the manager will help you find the pitch you want. The restaurant is great and there's always pizza to take away, just like fresh bread rolls in the morning... Very nice operators who are super relaxed. We were able to choose a nice spot under tall trees. The area is really beautiful. You can take the dog for a wonderful walk in the adjacent forest. In the morning there are delicious bread rolls... and we really recommend the restaurant. The lake is nice and clear. We'll be back next time with the bikes. If there is anything to complain about, it is that the front wash house is no longer the newest, but you just walk 100m in the other direction and you have a great one with all the trimmings. The pitches are not parceled out and are located in the partial shade of the sparse, tall trees. The beach offers space for playing, sunbathing and swimming and gently slopes into the clean water. The coveted... pitches on the beach were already fully booked at the beginning of June.
The campsite makes a very natural and relaxed impression and is run very sympathetically by the friendly operators.
We were impressed by the restaurant and the terrace. We have rarely experienced such good cuisine on a campsite. The staff were very friendly and motivated, the selection and quality of the food was above average and the prices were very reasonable.
The sanitary facilities in the older building are outdated, but functional and clean. The pitches under trees mean you can also hang up your hammock. Very good restaurant.NegativnoOur dogs complain about the cheeky birds, nothing else detrimental.Space for hammocksA nice, cozy place with very different pitches. Sports facilities are available, but unobtrusive, no entertainment. With larger units, it's best to wait in the entrance area and then walk around the site with Hannes and let him show you where you can stand. In the main holiday season, an employee with... a walkie-talkie stands at the entrance and gives directions. Due to the coronavirus, the delicious food is also available to pick up. Canoeists have the option of paddling along a small canal to Camping Poglitsch. This is also possible without much paddling experience. The most important things can be bought at the kiosk, a supermarket can be reached by bike, but it's quite an uphill climb! In Villach there is a specialist camping shop if, like us, you leave the boarding stool standing during a break. There is also a pet store from a larger chain. We have been coming here regularly for a good ten years and will continue to do so.Samodejno prevedeno.

The pitches are great, none are sterile like the others but are as individual as campers are and therefore everyone finds... their place. It's also great that there really are a lot of campers with tents here. The restaurant is highly recommended, as are the many sports facilities on offer. The private beach access is a plus. We were all totally thrilled. To welcome us, the junior first walked around the site with us and looked for suitable accommodation for us. The sanitary facilities are in the years but totally clean at any time of day. The restaurant is great... but you should make a reservation, that says it all :-)) . You have direct access to the lake which is also great. The staff is courteous and helpful. The WLAN is sufficient and FREE. The place is quiet from 22.00 clock and the night's rest is respected. But the best thing was the billing when the senior takes out the index card OUTSTANDING but has everything under control even without a computer. We had pre-booked - but on arrival everything was very individual. You get a selection of pitches and can choose which pitch you like. So the campsite is often mixed up. There is a healthy mix of tents and caravans here. Beautifully situated in the forest. No... parcelling out - the pitches have simply been created "in the forest". You're not caravan to caravan or tent to tent here - it's a mixture of both, which makes it very interesting. The operators put a lot of heart and soul into the whole thing. Friendly, helpful and very personal. The camping guests also seem relaxed. A very nice large beach with great access directly on the lake rounds things off. The restaurant is simply TOP - food of a very good standard. Dani's kiosk is also very nice and TOP. A great program is offered for children - extensive and age-appropriate - an indoor area is well received by the KIDS - also the small playground. Everyone will find their ideal spot here, whether by the lake or in the forest, sunny or shady. When you arrive, you simply walk around the site with Hannes and then the woman ultimately decides where you want to... stand. There are no rigid rules about where you have to stand, when you can dispose of your garbage and whether you even want to put up a children's tent. All the guests are just as relaxed and friendly as the operators, and the sports facilities leave nothing to be desired. What did we particularly like? Hannes and Kerstin are just great, thank you so much for the climbing set, the SUP, the beer tent set, for your warmth! After we realized how delicious the restaurant is, we reserved a table every second day and really enjoyed the great service and the sensational price-performance ratio. Many thanks also to the garbage collector and the cleaning staff, you always kept everything tidy and clean. Unfortunately, in addition to a very large selection of bread rolls, there was also very tasty fresh strudel every day, which landed directly on our hips, as did the ice cream and chips at the small kiosk! Our teenage children loved the chill-out zone and we always knew where to find them (endless wifi) when they weren't out and about with the mountain school or paddling to the island. We will definitely be back next year, we promised our neighbors who have been guests of the Zauberwald for 20 years.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Jan S.July 2019PozitivnoYou can't list them all ...NegativnoEven after more than 20 years, I still haven't discovered any!Here is vacation ... actually only here!Update June/July 2019 ... it is the only place I know where there are 3 geocaches :-) After we were also here in 2017 and 2018, we decided to move here from another site this year ... because only here is a vacation! When I see the lake, I don't need the sea anymore! That's why we'll be here again in... 2020! ... a small addition to my review ... (June 2016) This was our 12th time on the site ... 20 years ago the first time ... and it was again a wonderful vacation! Here I am human, only here I can be!!! ... It's a shame that vacations are so short :-) In the meantime, the site profile has also changed somewhat, the fresh ideas of the junior manager are having an effect! There are great offers for hiking and climbing. ... and as has been the case all these years ... If you have a problem, it will be taken care of. The restaurant is a culinary pearl on the lake ... delicious and the eye is with you. Simply a great place! We've been here 9 times in total. When the children were younger we came here almost every year. Everything is perfect here, the service, the staff, the leisure activities and the price. The beach is great, the sanitary facilities are excellent and very clean. I can only recommend a vacation here!Samodejno prevedeno.

The site has everything you need as a camper. The operator is always very friendly and always makes it possible to find a good pitch. Due to the structure of the site, it is not possible to parcel out the pitches, which is good but... sometimes a bit chaotic. The catering on the site is simply excellent. There is a good supply of bread rolls, delicious cakes during the day and the restaurant is simply great. We were completely satisfied and will definitely be back.Samodejno prevedeno.
