As soon as we unpacked, we learned from the neighbors that the lake is infested with blue-green algae. -> would have been worth knowing when booking In the restaurant we tried to order in Italian (broken, of course). Only until we were noticed (although there were hardly any people present) did we pass by several times. Then made no effort to speak at least slowly... - At the reception she spoke German - really great - but so quietly (through the still existing Corona glass) that we had to ask several times. - The campsite is also not secured by a code/key or similar. The gate simply opens at the push of a button. No long queues at reception! The campsite is in a fantastic location right on Lake Lugano with a beautiful sandy beach and a huge, well-kept pool right on the lake.... Great cycle paths in all directions! Very good pizzas in the campsite restaurant! Nice sanitary complex. You don't have to pay extra to shower. Great value for money here! There are 2 sanitary buildings: the older one open and unheated, the newer one with heating and even a coffee machine. Both are very clean. The station for the S-Bahn is less than 10 minutes away on foot, public transport is free with a guest card.... Aldi is also nearby. You can even rent an electric car. We didn't like the restaurant. The staff are very nice, but the restaurant has the charm of a fast food restaurant and the food was bland and tasted like reheated frozen food. Conclusion: Absolutely okay for a few days in Ticino, everyone has to decide the price for themselves...Samodejno prevedeno.

In the restaurant you are treated like old friends by the staff. The store... always has the same bread if at all, during our stay 3/4 of the racks were empty. The last time we were there was about 10 years ago and now that we were told that the campsite had been renovated, we hoped to have an alternative to Tenero, unfortunately not.Samodejno prevedeno.

In Ticino, the Ticino Card is a great advantage over other cantons.NegativnoThe nearby airport didn't bother me too much, the planes aren't that big, in the morning and evening the air traffic is at a good time.Vacation in TicinoThis was not our first time at this campsite, as we liked the location and infrastructure on previous occasions. We generally like the TCS campsites, everything is usually included, water, electricity, waste, parking etc. We were also surprised by the restaurant and the store which was open until 10... p.m. in low season, it is pleasant to stay here and we will definitely be back.
One disadvantage is that you have to have a lot of cable (for power connection) with you, depending on the pitch.
Now in Corona time I would criticize that only at the main entrance a disinfectant was available I think the toilets, wash houses etc. should also have them. The Corona information is clearly visible. It is also recommended to wash your hands well but one soap dispenser on six washbasins is rather too little, also how it is recommended to operate the taps with paper is not possible because this is missing everywhere. In general, I would think that a paper dispenser would belong in a camping wash house.Samodejno prevedeno. - K. - Peter R.August 2020PozitivnoBeautiful location, directly on Lake Lugano. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day and are always clean. Unfortunately there is sometimes algae in the lake (no swimming), but as a substitute there is a large swimming pool and a small covered pool for small children. There is an adjacent playground. The food in the restaurant is excellent. You can always find the essentials in the store. There are also various wholesalers close to the campsite (10 minutes away). If you have any questions, you can always ask at reception. The staff is very friendly.NegativnoI couldn't really see any disadvantages, otherwise I wouldn't have been a regular visitor to this campsite for around 35 years. Not even the few (small) airplanes that take off or land are a nuisance.Bijou TCS Camping LuganoA campsite on beautiful Lake Lugano. Cleanliness and order are to be found here.
Everything is available, swimming in the lake and swimming pool, children's playground, tennis court, shopping facilities for the essentials, restaurant with fine food.
Starting point for excursions by bike along the lake or by mountain bike into the mountains.
The city of Lugano can be reached by train or car in just a few minutes.Samodejno prevedeno. - Jacqueline K.February 2020PozitivnoLocation by the lakeNegativnoaircraft noise poorly maintained sanitary facilities long waiting time until hot water comesToo expensive for little performance in the winter seasonIt is possible to occupy a pitch until 10 p.m., which we think is great. The problem is that there is no lighting to find a pitch and see where the markings are. In addition, some of the pitches are very earthy, uneven and unkempt, which can only be seen in daylight. Even if you want to go to the sanitary... facilities in the evening, it is pitch dark. But in the summer sanitary facilities, which were closed, the lights are on all night in some rooms.
It says in the sanitary facilities that you should save water. Unfortunately, you have to let the hot water run for a few minutes until it slowly warms up. It only gets hot towards the end of washing up or showering. You can't stop the showers and so you let the water run until it turns off. The first shower was broken and I only realized this when I was under the shower head and couldn't turn it on. Luckily the other showers were free. A marking of the defective shower would be appropriate.
The light in the shower room suddenly goes out because the motion detector is only at the entrance and you stand in the dark in the cubicle to get dressed.
There are no covers for the lights in the sanitary building.

During the... high season, arrivals at TCS Camping Lugano-Muzzano are permitted until 10 pm. In the low season - which includes September - arrivals after 7 p.m. are only possible with advance notice. However, if reception is still staffed after 7.00 pm, guests will not be turned away. However, this should rarely happen.
