Reception only manned 9-17:30 otherwise you should contact e.g. via Watts App if you need someone (???). No possibilities to buy anything on the site and the bread service offered only delivers the bread rolls ordered the day before... from 9 a.m., which we found too late. The sanitary buildings were very clean all the time, even over Whitsun when the site was full, but what is not so good is that there are only 3 showers + 4 toilets + 3 wash cubicles for men and women for the 70 pitches available. This was definitely not enough on the days when the site was full and on the other days there were sometimes longer waiting times. Due to its location, we found the place good for doing something on the island, whether for sunbathing on the beach or for excursions by bike or on foot.Samodejno prevedeno.

Even minor breakdowns and repairs are helped and supported without red tape. The pitches are big enough for caravans up to 8m in length. All connections are on site and fully usable. The boundaries are marked out by stones in the ground.... The individual pitches are not specially fenced off with hedges. Location to de Koog very good and at a comfortable distance. You walk through a small forest to the first dune and immediately have the sea and another belt of fens in front of you. Here you can admire the sunset. Dogs are welcomed in a friendly manner, as is the case everywhere on Texel, and are quickly spoiled. Walks through the dunes or along the endless beach are great and well worth the trip.Samodejno prevedeno.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.NegativnoOnly 3 showers and toilets eachA beautiful centrally located campsiteWe were on Texel for the first time and had chosen the campsite at Campinginfo. The site is very centrally located, about 1 km from De Koog, where there are good shopping facilities, restaurants etc.. The great beach is also only 1 km away. The dune landscape is not built up and it is a world of its... own. Hiking, cycling, swimming, surfing, fishing, much is possible. There is no room for boredom and the best thing is that if you want peace and quiet, you only have to walk a few hundred meters to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Dogs are allowed on the beach on a lead from the beginning of May to the end of September. Dogs are allowed on the beach off the lead from October to April. The whole area makes a very well-kept impression and you simply feel at home. There are several pavilions on the beach where you can stop for a bite to eat. As far as I know, 4 of them are open all year round. A coffee, tea or beer after a long walk on the beach, with a great view of the sea, rounds off a lovely day. The campsite is very well run. If you have any problems, the very friendly and multilingual staff are happy to help. We were on the site at the end of October and we had great weather for this time of year, but I can't say what it's like there from June to August. The sanitary facilities are a bit cramped, but very clean. In the off-season, however, you don't have to worry about queues in front of the sanitary buildings. The neighboring pitch is said to be more suitable for families, but it is not open all year round. The two football pitches right next to the campsite didn't bother us. It was very quiet at night and normal life during the day. The ferry connection to Texel is problem-free, we paid €85.00 for an 11.30-long ferry for the outward and return journey. It was not the last time we were there and we are looking forward to our next stay at De Shelter.Samodejno prevedeno.- Steffen L.September 2014PozitivnoQuiet Price/performance Free W-Lan at the reception Beach/ town quickly accessible for shoppingNegativnoCampers who are not able to use a toilet brush.Good place for bad campersMy girlfriend and I stayed at CP de Shelter at the end of September 2014. Everything was ok so far, but unfortunately some campers were not able to pick up the toilet brush after using the toilet. What I'm getting at should be clear to everyone.... Otherwise everything was fine. Nice and quiet, sanitary... facilities good. It was about 15 min walk to the beach. UPDATE Were in July 2017 again at the campsite de Shelter to add is basically the free wifi that works well otherwise the good and the less good have remained! Whereby the visitors of the facility are still responsible for the negative and not the operator.Samodejno prevedeno.

The reception was very friendly despite our arrival before 15:00. The site was about half full. The sanitary facilities were always very clean and seemed to be quite new. We didn't have any waiting times at the showers and toilets. Due to the location right... on the outskirts of de Koog, supermarkets, pubs etc. are within easy walking distance. The beach is about a 10-minute walk along a paved path through the dunes, which is also accessible by bike. Hikes in the De Muy/de Slufter nature reserve are ideally possible from the campsite. Subtropical swimming pool and "Ecomare" are easily accessible by bike, as are all the other "destinations" on the island in our opinion. We will certainly be back again.Samodejno prevedeno.

At peak times the sanitary facilities are overloaded (3 men's showers, 3 women's showers, 2 family showers). The toilets are also cramped at certain times. The ladies have four, the men only three. - Ludwig K.October 2011It really is a beautifully quiet campsite. It's also not far from the sea and cycling/hiking is also possible (like everywhere on Texel). We don't think the pitches are that great. Lined up on the meadow. We've seen nicer places, e.g. separated by hedges or similar. The sanitary facilities are good but far too few. 8 toilets and 6 showers (+ 2 family showers). We don't want to imagine what it's like here in the high season.Samodejno prevedeno.
