Fantastic for water sports, wonderfully quiet location
We spent a good week here. (2 adults and 2 dogs) Not so great for dogs, as there is no possibility of letting them off the lead.
An Eldorado for water sports enthusiasts, far away from civilization. Fantastic peace and quiet! There is a nice shop where campers can buy lots of useful and sometimes pretty... unusual things. The café at the CP is great! Location 1a, cake is excellent! There is a lovingly designed playground for small children under 10.
There should be more toilets. The storage facilities in the showers and for washing up are great.
Fresh water taps could have a gray water drainage option!
The access is adventurous with a trailer! Very long drive from the last village and lots of nasty potholes on the last stretch of the road just before the campsite.
In the entrance area it is very bumpy, as everything comes together here. Entrance store, reception & café, children's area, garbage area, arrival and departure.
All in all, a beautiful campsite with a lot of heart and soul.

Due to increased fire protection measures by the operator, only a good half of the leased cell is available. (1.5m fire protection on all sides). This means that the plot size is too small and therefore too expensive at €45. 80sqm becomes 50sqm. Not enough for awning It is true that fire protection is important. The pitches used to be over 100 square meters.
Usable plot size too small
We have been coming for years (except for Corona) and have to realize that the new owner wants to make a profit as quickly as possible. Sure, the restaurant is open again, but that will only be the case for one or two seasons.
And then?
The concrete lanes of the first Reich are only about 1 meter away from the border, but according to the site regulations you are only allowed to stand there.
The operator should do some soul-searching

Location, loving details, great café with delicious cakes, children's play facilities, leisure activities on site (excursions through the countryside and dunes organized by the camp), state-of-the-art sanitary facilities, super team...

Simply fantastic
Beautiful place with a dream location. I've already seen a few campsites - including on Fehmarn - but this is by far the most beautiful. Between the sea and the lake, it's just great. The pitches are big enough... excellent to stand in the 1st row directly by the sea. The new café and the snack bar with... daily changing dishes meant that we didn't cook ourselves once. Wow! Whether it was panini, cake or burgers... everything was delicious! And the whole team: simply mega-friendly and always with a smile! We'll definitely be back!

Very friendly staff, site located directly on the water, modern and renovated clean sanitary facilities. Camping store with great alternative products. The playground is really lovingly designed and something special!

The "family showers" are unfortunately relatively small. All showers lack storage facilities for shampoo and shower gel. The access road is unfortunately an imposition, as there are several potholes that urgently need to be repaired.
Cozy campsite with modern facilities
All in all a great campsite. A little further away from the center (castle) but located directly by the sea. The staff are very friendly. The Strand Tropez café is also very nice. However, the access road urgently needs to be improved for caravans. We ultimately deducted one point for this.

Ahoy - Super place

We were there at the end of June, beginning of July with our two children, 5 and 7, and had a great time. The place is in a state of upheaval and you can tell. The site has been under new management since April '22. The staff are relaxed, friendly and always there for you. The food supply on site... with sandwiches, kebabs etc. is not cheap but good. - We don't know what it looked like before but you can see that something is happening and the whole place has a modern, cozy look. Work is still going on in one place or another and it seems that not everything is finished yet. But that doesn't detract from a wonderful stay. The small details such as decorations and pictures in the washrooms make it special. Cleanliness and friendliness are very important. Not just on the homepage! The sanitary facilities were cleaned twice a day and we never once found a dirty washroom. Everything was always top! Respect! The people on the site are a colorful mix. In addition to many surfers and van/van drivers, there are also permanent campers, families and Cartago drivers. You are spoiled for choice when it comes to pitches. From the front row with a direct sea view to a quiet pitch by the inland lake. In the front row, you should check in advance whether the size of your vehicle is suitable. But as I said, everyone will find a place here. When it gets full, it gets a bit cuddly in the first rows, but that's still totally ok. We will be back. And we can't wait to see what else changes by then. Thank you for letting us be your guests. We had 10 great days.
