"Billing not comprehensible - This was the second time we have stayed here. The location is fantastic and the facilities (showers, etc.) are functional. Unfortunately this time we had a surprise with the bill. We were on the pitch from Sunday evening (9pm) until the following Friday (10am). According to the meter reading, we used 113 kWh during this time (heating and fridge in gas mode). We have never consumed so much. Our consumption has been around 1.5 - 2 kWh per day for years. Unfortunately, there is no concession from the campsite and they insist on the accuracy of the data. Unfortunately, the meter reading is not transparent. Only the reception can see the initial and final readings, so unfortunately we cannot judge this. More transparency would be desirable here.

"Simply awesome! - We have been to this wonderful place several times. Every time it's like arriving among friends. Unfortunately, due to its popularity, you sometimes have to book well in advance to get a nice pitch

"We were disappointed - We 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog arrived at the site in the evening, we received a friendly welcome at reception and were allocated a pitch. The pazelle was on a small terrace with 4 other pitches, all very small. After setting up, we wanted to eat something in the restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed. Instead, we ate an expensive frozen pizza from the pizza van on the campsite and a beer bought in the store. Unfortunately, no Bavarian coziness. Swimming in the Tennsee was not possible as it is completely overgrown, Tennsumpf would be more correct. The sanitary facilities were great, clean and quite new. When we checked out we were charged 1.9 kw electricity even though we didn't use anything, which was only 1.54€ but still not right. The site is certainly suitable for hikers.

"unfriendly and overpriced - This was the third time we (previously with children) had stayed here with our dog. On the first visit we were surprised that the waiters in the restaurant were unfriendly and the dog was not allowed. Unfortunately, this impression was repeated on our second visit. Now we were there for the third time because we have a relative nearby who we wanted to visit. The telephone inquiry only worked when we asked. We then decided on a space in the parking lot in front of the barrier. We paid an overpriced price for this and for the dog and unfortunately the manager was extremely unfriendly. As the site was overcrowded, the sanitary facilities were clearly at the limit despite daily basic cleaning. Too bad, because the location is great.

"Beautiful vacation - Very nice contact with the staff, large wash house, great restaurant with super tasty food, highly recommended are the knuckles, top price. We would love to come back.

"Nice quiet camping site - This wonderful campsite is just 15 km from Garmisch Partenkirchen. The pitches are large enough and there is also a water tap on site. The wash house is a real hit: it is laid out like a small labyrinth and is always spotlessly clean. There is a restaurant and a chicken and knuckle roasting joint on site. However, both are closed on Tuesdays and a pizza van comes instead...but the queue here is very long. There are several bus stops within a short walking distance. With the guest card you can travel free of charge to Garmisch, Mittenwald or an alpine pasture, for example. We liked it very much.

Our compact utility …columns with connections for telephone, fax, Wi-Fi, TV, radio, gas, electricity, water supply and disposal provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee is a spacious, partially terraced campsite. The site is bordered on two sides by a stream and Lake Tennsee, while to the east, the hilly meadows with their unique Alpine flora rise up. Extensive sanitary facilities and a breathtaking mountain backdrop ensure your well-being. Shower and wash cubicles are available to all guests free of charge. Family cubicles (lockable) with shower, bidet, washbasin and toilet, which you can rent for the duration of your stay. Hairdressing stations with hood dryers are available for all guests in the bathroom foyer or at the individual wash cubicles. The disabled facilities are easily accessible for our guests on the ground floor and can be used free of charge. A baby bathtub for our youngest guests is also located on the ground floor. They say here in Bavaria that food and drink keep body and soul together. That's why eating and drinking are so important at the Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee. Bavarian specialities and international dishes are served in the ‘beim Mini’ restaurant. The large dining room and the two fireplace parlours will surround you with genuine old Bavarian cosiness. You can enjoy coffee and cake here or on the spacious sun terrace. Located in the triangle between Mittenwald, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Walchensee, a wide range of cultural, entertainment and sports opportunities are available here. There are children's playgrounds with various play equipment and a large play castle right at the entrance to the campsite and on the caravan site. From Insbruck take the road to Telfs, Mösern. Then to Seefeld and further to Mittenwald. After Mittenwald about 8 km on the B2 take the junction Barmsee, Tennsee directly to Tennsee.
