- Uwe M.Oktobar 2018Pozitivno- Good starting point for sightseeing - Sanitary facilities are cleanNegativno- Pitches outside the large meadow could be a little better maintained - No possibility for dogs to run outside the campsiteSmall square near StonehengeThe signposting is more bad than good, there is only a sign at the access road, which you only see at the last moment. An advance notice would not be bad here. When we arrived at lunchtime, there was no one at reception and nobody answered the bell. Other campers advised us to simply choose a pitch and... set up, which we did. The large meadow was closed due to tree felling work, so we set up on the edge next to the access road. Our caravan (7m long) just fitted in. There is always a power point for two pitches. The pitches there were half grass and half stony ground. Not very well maintained and not clearly recognizable where to stand. The country road that runs directly past the site can be clearly heard at the pitches where we stood, but not so disturbing due to the low volume of traffic. The sanitary facilities are small but clean. Showers cost 50p. We then went to see the sights in the surrounding area. On our return, we finally met someone at reception. As the operator was just about to leave, we paid the 35 pounds for two nights with two adults, two dogs, caravan + car including electricity in cash, without further registration and without further explanations about the site. There is a small store at the petrol station in the village, otherwise it's about a 20-minute drive. There is no separate run for dogs. The country road runs immediately outside the campsite, without a footpath. Therefore not ideal. A little tip for all those who want to visit Stonehenge: It's around 10 minutes from the site. But be careful: 5 pounds parking fee + 21 pounds per person entrance fee! It's better to drive around the outside, you can walk across the meadow from a country road on the other side for free. You just have to park on the grass verge next to the road, but then you have a free view of the stones.Аутоматски преведено.
- Josef a.Jun 2014Family-run campsite near StonehengeThis campsite is a 7 minute drive from Stonehenge, Avebury and other sites are also not far away. Very friendly owners, even if you arrive late. Sanitary facilities clean (shower for 20 pence), pitches not quite level. Although the campsite is in the middle of a restricted military area, it is very quiet.... Unfortunately there are no grocers etc. in the nearby village. But ideal if you want to be in Stonehenge at 9am before the whole mob and very cheap.Аутоматски преведено.
