We were able to choose a pitch on arrival.
The bread roll service is conveniently available online.
The site has a small café. We ate very tasty cakes.
There are numerous hiking trails and cycle paths in the immediate vicinity.
Clean sanitary... facilities are available. There is also a small kitchen with microwave, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, oven, plenty of crockery, washing machine, ironing board and iron,...
All pitches have electricity and some have a water supply.
Dogs are allowed on some pitches.
The entire site is lovingly designed. Many permanent campers have found their little paradise here.
A sauna and hot tub are available for relaxation.
The Wi-Fi is free and stable.
The operators are very friendly and courteous.
We did not find the €1 coin-operated showers so appealing.
There are no shopping facilities nearby.

Anja S.October 2023PozitivnoThe peace and quiet and the sound of the RurNegativnoNo cell phone reception, no internet, no TV reception, didn't bother us at all!Stopover on the RurWe drove to the campsite because of its proximity to Monschau. The arrival is via serpentines, but was no problem with our camper van. Even at the end of the season, you pay in advance (€33 per night) and have to leave the site at 11am. The site is located in a valley directly on the Rur. Most of the... tourist pitches are also there with electricity, no waste water and a central water tap. The showers cost €1 for 6 minutes. The sanitary facilities were very clean and tidy, the lighting could be better. The pitches for Womos were currently without electricity at our time and the sanitary facilities there were already closed. As the campsite is in a valley, the sun doesn't mean well in the fall. Come late and leave early, and there are lots of big trees that provide plenty of shade. Certainly great in summer... The sanitary facilities are top notch,... everyone is very friendly. We can't say anything about the snack bar. The surrounding area is beautiful, but quickly explored. We would have liked to continue, but unfortunately we had already paid in advance and there's no refund if you leave early. So we held out. It is very expensive. For me, my 3sqm tent and bike, I was charged for a 15sqm tent incl. car (€20/night)! In return, I was allowed to spend the night on a treeless meadow in the camper park (outside the gates of the actual campsite)... at over 30°. Hot showers cost extra (1€/6 min), cold showers not possible. Complaints should be made in person, but if you do so in a friendly manner, you will be thrown out of the office. If you then want to shorten your stay - bad luck - if you leave early, the money you paid in advance stays there. There is no option to cancel - so please only ever book for one day! Conclusion: the beautiful philosophy of camping is propagated on posters and signs everywhere - but the actual corporate culture is rather the opposite!Аутоматски преведено.

Of course, you can arrive without making a reservation, but as the site is so popular, a reservation definitely makes sense if you don't want to stand on the not-so-nice Womo pitch. The charge for waste water is also unusual. You also have to pay for showering.
