Simple cozy place
We spent a few days at Camping Arizona for the 4th time this summer and felt very comfortable again. It is a simple but clean site. It is divided into three parts: between the beach and the road, behind the road and one part set back a little. There is hardly any shade on the beach part due to the very... young vegetation and only one small sanitary building, which can lead to waiting times at peak times. In the middle section, the pitches are shaded by matting roofs or trees. There is a small, fine sanitary building here. In the rear part, which is the largest, there is a very large sanitary building. However, this part is only fully occupied around Ferragosto, i.e. around August 15th. There is also a small bar and bungalows and rental accommodation from a Polish tour operator. The sanitary buildings are thoroughly cleaned 3 to 4 times a day. Christian, the "girl for everything", is constantly on the go, cleaning the sanitary buildings, mowing the lawn, making repairs, etc. Giovanni, the boss, is present every day and makes sure that everything is in order on the pitch. Noisy or otherwise inappropriate behavior is stopped politely but firmly. In front of the pitch is the south beach of Vieste - even in the high season the occupancy is rather relaxed. Directly in front of the campsite there is enough space for your own sunshades and sunbeds. If you turn right across the small stream, you will come to the Arizona beach bar with sunbeds and sunshades for hire. There are a few pizzerias and restaurants in the surrounding area. It is 3 km along the promenade to Vieste. At the campsite reception you can pick up a free bus ticket for the shuttle bus that runs from the campsite to Vieste. A small store 20 m from the entrance has everything you need. However, we often went to Vieste for shopping, the butcher there is great. You can buy fish and seafood from the flying fishmonger. We felt comfortable, but if you're expecting luxury, camping and entertainment, you're in the wrong place.
