"To feel good - The campsite is not very large and almost family-like. There are many tents for rent, some of which are as good as new and well equipped. The other pitches are very large, level and shady. However, the car must be parked separately in a parking lot. The sanitary facilities are simple, but very clean and well maintained. The pool is getting a bit long in the tooth. It is compulsory to wear a swimming cap (these can be purchased in the mini market), otherwise there is quite a lot of freedom (jumping from the edge, using (inflatable) toys, ...). The sun loungers are free of charge. There is a kiosk by the pool, but it is quite expensive. The mini market is really mini and only has the bare essentials. The adjoining bar under the eucalyptus trees has a quiet, lovely atmosphere. In general, the place lives from the noticeable commitment of the staff to make it as nice as possible for the guests. There is varied, unobtrusive entertainment for children with a friendly small team and during our 10-day stay there was an evening with stylish live music, a cocktail bar and candlelight. There is a somewhat larger mini-market in the immediate vicinity of the campsite (at the traffic circle). The sandy beach of Lacona and a few restaurants are about 700 m away. The campsite is pleasantly quiet and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It is frequented by a noticeable number of Dutch guests.

The Camping Village Casa dei Prati is in a quiet and peaceful area, overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Lacona and its famous, sandy beach, without a doubt one of the longest on the Island of Elba. The sea is crystal …clear, and is shallow till quite far out, so it is perfect for families with small children. There are two smaller, but equally fascinating, beaches inside the gulf - Laconella and Margidore: the former is sandy, and has unique inlets to be found nowhere else, the latter is a pebble beach that also has a tiny port for small boats. Not only is Lacona very popular among tourists as a starting place for excursions, with many itineraries in the heart of the lush, Mediterranean scrub from where the view is breathtaking; being also in the centre of the island, it is not far from the main towns like Capoliveri, Porto Azzurro and Marina di Campo as well as the most popular beaches. Alongside the camp-site: APARTMENTS: for holiday, fully furnisched with 1-2-3 bedrooms, living-room with a cooking area, bathroom, terrace and TV led. You can reach the island of Elba by car where on arrival to Piombino, some different shipping companies (Toremar , Moby Lines) offer comfortable ferry services that during the tourist season navigate hourly,on a daily basis. In only one hour …circa, the ferries cover the 10Km distance from the mainland arriving in a chioce of ports; Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina. For passengers without cars, a Hydrofoil service operates from Piombino to Portoferraio (Via Cavo ) in only 35 mins. of navigation. Elba is also reachable by plane, there is an airport in Marina di Campo, La Pila location, from which are active connections with numerous Italian and European cities. Lacona can be reached by car from Portoferraio in about 10 minutes. Once you leave the ferryboat, go on following the indications "Tutte le direzioni" (All directions) and then "Porto Azzurro". Now you can follow two possible ways: from San Giovanni, turn right, where the signals indicate Lacona , or go on towards Porto Azzurro/Capoliveri and then turn right at the following cross-roads, after few kilometres . Or simply click the following coordinates into your Sat Nav: 42° 45' 55,38" N - 10° 18' 50,80" E.
