"Recommendation only for a short stay / stopover! - Not recommended for longer vacations! Recommendation only for a short stay / stopover! Unfortunately, I can't only report positive things about the Camping de Tournus campsite! The two sanitary buildings are really terrible. Few showers, old, dirty, broken tiles. There are sinks in the first sanitary building but only cold water. How are you supposed to get your dishes clean? At the 2nd sanitary building there is hot water for washing up, but I have never found such dirty sinks on a campsite before. There were still sauce residues on the walls, pasta in the basins and dead mosquitoes everywhere. It was early in the morning and I got the impression that the cleaner hadn't been here for a while. The toilets too, dingy, no toilet lid, simply run-down and unkempt. The location is great, Tournus is not far away. "Good place for an overnight stay - We were there in April on the outward and return journey for one night each on this small site. As there were very few guests on the outward journey (Mondays), we were allowed to park our caravan on one of the paved pitches for camper vans up to approx. 12 m in length, which extends in the direction of the Saône. Some of the meadow pitches were not yet open due to damp ground. On the return trip (Easter) it was a bit busier, we had a meadow pitch by the fence in the left-hand part of the site. The staff are friendly and helpful, the access barrier is always closed and is either opened by the staff (there may be a short wait) or operated by code. Overall quiet location, we hardly noticed the train and highway. There is an adjacent school and sports center, so there is some activity in the mornings and afternoons due to students and school bus traffic. There are two sanitary buildings, one of which was still closed. The sanitary building to the left of the entrance is functional, well-maintained and clean and everything you need is available. There do not appear to be any leisure facilities. There is a small restaurant next to the reception where you can get hot meals of a simpler quality. If you prefer something other than pizza and snacks with chips, you can either cater for yourself or look for a restaurant in the village. But beware: there are also some more expensive gourmet temples there, some of which have several Michelin stars. The town itself is also surprisingly worth seeing, especially the monastery church and the area around it. This campsite is definitely recommended if you are passing through or staying for 2-3 days and we have earmarked it for our next trip to the south of France.

"Great place to spend the night - Great place for stop&go, certainly also for 2-3 days. Nice operator couple and great kitchen. The food was very good and the value for money was absolutely fine. We can absolutely recommend this place.

"Inexpensive place, more for those passing through - The site is located at the northern end of the village directly on the Saone. A gate through the fence provides access to the river. The sanitary facilities have obviously been recently renovated and are very clean. WLAN is available free of charge. The reception was friendly and courteous. A restaurant is available, bread can be pre-ordered; I can't say anything about the other facilities. The pitches are parceled out and largely flat; some are even paved. As I only stayed overnight, I can't say anything about a longer stay there. The nearby highway was faintly audible at night, but didn't bother me personally. There are two inexpensive petrol stations, which you pass on the way to and from the highway.

"average overnight stay - Everything works very well, from the code for the barrier, to the code for the gate for late arrivals, WLan -- everything ok. But too few toilets (4 for the men and a standing toilet on top of that! -- and that in 2018! ) The site is almost exclusively used as an overnight / transit site. The site is generally well maintained and parceled out with number boards throughout.

" Location good, but with flaws - You don't necessarily have to support the convenience of the operator, it starts with the fact that the reception only opens at 10 a.m. On Mondays there is no bread because the baker does not deliver !!!! A 0.3 can of cold drink 3 €. pitches OK. Sanitary OK for France. Tip: better drive on to Pont de Vaux

This lush green campsite is just 1.5 km from the A6 motorway exit, making it an ideal stopover. Numerous restaurants and the Saint Philibert Abbey are located in the historical centre of Tournus, a short stroll from the campsite.
