You had to pay extra for the showers, unfriendly boss, became even more unfriendly when you pointed out a billing error.

The comfort pitches are equipped with everything you need - even a chemical toilet station on site. The sanitary facilities are very modern and clean. You have to pay 1 franc for 4 minutes of showering, but that's ok. The restaurant belonging to the campsite is highly recommended. The people are very friendly and helpful. We will gladly come again. We were sent there first, without a view, without greenery and even like a parking lot. The price of CHF 63 would have been exorbitant. We were then immediately offered an even more expensive pitch, but we didn't want to accept that.... Standing on the meadow at the back is great, the site is well done, very nice view of the mountains. WC etc. mostly clean and heated.
It was unpleasant that the young lady at reception had no idea and I had to try for 30 minutes in several ways to prove that I had already paid for the pitch. The playground (sand area, pond with fins, bouncy castle, table tennis, darts, table football, etc.) invites you to play. The play equipment is available free of charge. The pitches are not too spacious, but are big enough to put up an awning next to the caravan. The towing vehicle can be parked outside free of charge. You can use the indoor pool and wellness facilities at the adjoining sports hotel (cheaper rates for camping guests). Pizza is served in the café Wed-Sun (highly recommended!). It's always great. Very well-kept grounds, good shopping facilities, good bus connections to the village and to all the mountain railroads (in season). Very friendly operators. For the children there is a jumping pillow, climbing... equipment and a small "lake" with very fresh water as a playground. Our children particularly like the rafts on the lake. The restaurant is in the higher price segment - but the food is great. If you like it cheaper, you can eat in the café. The camping field is large and also very well maintained. We had a wonderful place, it was quiet and idyllic, the stream nearby was babbling, the food in the nearby restaurant (across the road) was excellent, the sanitary facilities were simply fantastic, just behind the stream you could go running/hiking, biking, etc. and the price (for Engelberg) was really great.
