This is my second time here. Delicious food, quiet place with a great panorama of the Wilder Kaiser. Super sauna - I'd love to come again!

in bad weather you stand in the mud and not just a little bit and the whole thing for 740 € for 11 nights there are better
The value has evaporated
with some rolled gravel and a little more accommodation for the guests it would be bearable but the price for the quality of the pitch is exorbitant

Hello, I can only recommend the campsite. The location is great. Ski bus stop right outside the door. Very close to the ski area and a great wellness area. What more could you want?

There was nothing I didn't like ;-) Everything was just right.
Super location, super wellness area
The washrooms are also very, very nice and clean. The drying rooms for ski boots are perfectly adequate.

Space with a view
We visited the site for a few days on our way back from Lake Millstatt. We had our caravan (2.5m x 8.7m) with us, which has a fully usable bathroom with shower. Therefore, the facilities on the pitch with electricity (>= 10A), fresh water and waste water are very important to us.
We were allocated pitch... HS3 as it suited my desire for particularly easy access with the camper van. The vehicle was quickly aligned, as the pitch was quite level, so we didn't need a chock. Unfortunately, it turned out that the fresh water pressure must be well below two bar, as it was only dripping from the tap.
We were compensated with a wonderful view of the small Pölven and the Wilder Kaiser in the distance.

The ladies at reception deserve a special mention, as you can tell straight away that the Franzlhof is not just a campsite, but also a hotel. They really knew what I had written when I made the reservation and were always quick to help. The food in the hotel restaurant was also positive. A satisfying meal at a reasonable price, in a positive sense.

The campsite is definitely recommended for mountain bikers and hikers.

Nice location and close to the center - good restaurants available in the village

-Pitch was overbooked and pitch plan not adhered to -Although prescribed, there were no site rules -all showers show clear mold infestation due to lack of ventilation -Disinfectant dispenser in the sanitary area only inside, therefore all guests have to enter the area without disinfection -Garbage area partly chaotic conditions and gas bottles standing around -According to the brochure, electricity, water and waste water should be available at the pitch! Not true. We had to get electricity from another pitch. Get fresh water about 20 meters away and dispose of the waste water in front of the campsite in Gulli! Conclusion: highly questionable in Corona times and definitely not recommended
Franzlhof- beautiful location but poor hygiene and no connections on site
After the corona-related lockdown, we were really looking forward to our vacation in the Wilder Kaiser region. The location and the weather were very nice. What we then experienced was partly catastrophic! The site was completely overbooked and caravans were placed directly in front of us on the meadow... beyond the site plan. The modern sanitary facilities were only cleaned once a day and were all infested with mold due to a lack of ventilation. Only one disinfectant was placed at the exit, so that guests used the facilities without hand disinfection. The waste station was sometimes so overloaded that it was just chaotic.
The adjacent vacation cabins were booked several times by party guests, especially at the weekend, and were sometimes noisy until midnight. As there are no site rules, we were told that the guests should sort it out amongst themselves. We tried to talk to the operator several times about the whole situation (especially the overbooking), but to no avail. A visit to the tourist office resulted in the operator being so annoyed that he asked us to leave. We then actually ended our vacation prematurely. Because we didn't want a corona infection as a memory.
Our conclusion: Franzlhof - never again!!!

Location of the campsite right next to the village and the hiking trails

Unkempt site, neglected sanitary facilities, narrow and hardly nice pitches
Unfortunately not a recommendable campsite
Unfortunately, we can't rate this campsite highly, despite its beautiful location. The campsite is close to the center and you can hike directly from the campsite.
However, we didn't have a nice pitch, but to be honest there aren't many on this campsite. The pitches are very close together, there is... too little grass and lots of gravel. We were right at the entrance to the campsite, at the entrance to the sanitary facilities and right next to the road. Zero privacy. At night we were repeatedly woken up by guests walking across the gravel to the toilet, the slamming door of the sanitary building and passing cars driving noisily over the traffic calming.
The entire campsite is unfortunately very unkempt: Weeds everywhere, carpet in front of the entrance to the sanitary facilities completely filthy and urgently needs to be disposed of, crumbling stones at the entrance to reception, garbage shed like a battlefield, major mold problems in the showers, unkempt sanitary facilities (although actually nice and not old). According to the notice, the sanitary facilities should be cleaned from 9.30 - 10.30 am. However, this was not done, so there was hardly any toilet paper left.
Unsightly sheds for permanent campers, not separated from tourist pitches. We had to share our water connection on the pitch with two other pitches. The receptionist, who says she always parks her scooter right next to the gully for disposal, leaves me speechless. As a result, the motorhomes can hardly reach the gully to drain gray water. The gully was also constantly blocked. Restaurant only mediocre. Stay cost 45 euros per night (2 adults and 2 dogs). Electricity not included in the pitch price, for 2 days (only used the fridge) 5 euros - quite expensive. Overall, the campsite is completely overpriced in this condition without a pool or other special features. This campsite urgently needs good management!

In the sanitary building, within 3 weeks of 3 toilets, no 2 toilet seats could be repaired as they were loose or next to the bowls. The site is mainly used by motorhomes.

Small, fine campsite
Very nicely located campsite, you can do a lot from there. The site is very small. The pitch is not parceled out so it is difficult with a large caravan and awning. The sanitary facilities are only cleaned once a day, which I think is not enough. But otherwise a very good place.
