"Newly renovated, beautifully situated but not necessarily something for campers - I know the site from 20 years ago and a lot has changed since then. New modern washrooms, pitches and a natural bathing meadow. The permanent campers form their own village and are separated from the campsite by the lake. The pitch costs almost 20.00 euros. That's certainly okay for a motorhome, but I found it a bit much for a tiny tent. There are practically no shopping facilities, you have to go by car. The site is in a secluded location, not far from Saarbrücken or Metz. It's certainly a good place to relax if you have small children and are there at the height of summer. It was just too remote and dreary for me in the fall, so I only stopped there when I was passing through. The tent pitch is sloping.

" - Still open in October, but only 1 x daily cleaning of the sanitary area and no shower (now also normal WC). Super quiet location in the middle of "Wallachia" on a lake. Adapter for electricity could be borrowed free of charge, otherwise zero service. OK for self-catering and overnight stays, could stay coupled, directions on the homepage misleading, as described from Paris, from Germany better trust the NAVI!

Profil

In a remote area in rural Lorraine, near the German border, lies the La Croix du Bois Sacker campsite. Here you can camp in a hilly landscape, on the edge of a forest and on the shore of a natural …bathing and fishing lake. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this campsite is a great destination. The campsite is beautifully situated in the middle of nature. Surrounded by forests that cover the hills, you will camp on the green bank of a natural lake. The campsite offers space for about fifty pitches: the fairly large pitches are located on grassy areas. Most of the pitches at the campsite are for permanent residents, but these are separated from the area for tourists. There is a small lake between the trees at the back of the campsite. The campsite borders the lake with a small beach, where a part is reserved for swimmers who want to take a refreshing dip in the natural water. Another part is reserved for anglers. Sitting quietly on the shore and casting a fishing rod – some campers can't imagine a better holiday. In the high season, the baker is at the campsite every morning at half past eight. Buy a jar of jam from the small shop at the reception and your breakfast is as good as ready. For dinner, however, you will have to leave the campsite. The easiest thing to do is to go to Bouzonville. You will find a few supermarkets there, about twenty minutes from the campsite.
