"Beautifully situated - compromises in the sanitary facilities - The site is beautifully situated between the Moselle and the Moselle Canal. A paradise for cyclists and sports enthusiasts. Spacious meadow pitches and a very friendly welcome also make it stand out. Unfortunately, the two sanitary facilities are not up to scratch. The newer, small building (with waste disposal station) is not recommended at all. Only one toilet each for men and women, inadequate and unclean washing facilities. The large sanitary facilities are getting on in years and are actually quite nice, but not really well maintained. Too bad, because with good sanitary facilities this could have been one of my favorites, especially since you can walk to the town in 10 minutes and eat well there at acceptable prices.

" - originally selected as a stopover, stayed for 2 weeks. A municipal site that is leased by andre and nadine, they help in all situations. The pitches are very large and the sanitary facilities are very basic. Unfortunately, there is also criticism to express WIFI unfortunately not free, because charmes railroad connection, run at night a lot of freight trains. I still recommend this place because of the friendly tenant couple

Profil

The two-star campsite L'île aux mille Charmes is located in Charmes, in the Vosges (not far from Nancy). The Vosges is a hilly tourist region with many lakes and many hiking, biking and mountain biking opportunities. The campsite is located …on a piece of land, actually you can't call it an island, between the Canal de l'Est and the Moselle. This makes it a very quiet, green oasis, just a 10-minute walk from the city centre. The campsite is open from April to October. The L'île aux mille Charmes campsite is particularly suitable for people who are looking for peace and simplicity and who do not want any prescribed entertainment. The campsite is in a truly beautiful location on the Moselle, far from the hustle and bustle of the town, which extends on both sides of the river. In addition, large ships cannot travel on the river here. Shipping traffic on the canal is also limited by relatively small locks. The Ile aux mille Charmes campsite is a typical stopover site with few permanent pitches. It is a fairly open space with a few scattered trees and indistinctly marked pitches. The sanitary facilities are simple but well maintained. Like all French campsites, Ile aux mille Charmes has a petanque court (boccia). There are mini golf and tennis courts near the campsite. It is possible to fish in the Moselle (fishing permits are available in town). Signposted hiking and biking trails into the surrounding area start directly at the campsite. The campsite does not have a shop or restaurant, but there are various supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants in Charmes.
