- Peter P.July 2023PozitivnoAlso structurally beautiful restaurant/bar with a great outdoor area to linger (lounge chairs, hammocks, children's play equipment) even without drinks; excellent cuisine in organic quality, many vegetarian dishes, very good cakes, tarts, home-baked bread, ice cream, blackberries, top cappuccino. Very well-kept, shady, large restaurant garden. The cleaner in our room came on time every day and was very conscientious.NegativnoIn our "Happy Camping" area: only 1 toilet with a defective flush; 2 showers with primitive plastic shower curtains. At the main site a sanitary building with a humidity problem, because some of the bathrooms only have mini-windows! Therefore permanent humidity! The bathrooms can be rented - this reduces the sanitary facilities for the rest of the campers! Then you have to put up with waiting times! The BIO concept of the whole CP is very hyped and staged, including a reportage film on the artichoke harvest.Beautiful place with an independent conceptWe stayed at CP Orti di Mare for 11 nights in the "happy camping" area, across the road from the main campsite. The shower was cold and the cistern of the only toilet was broken, so the water ran day and night. We told reception and it was repaired: the gas boiler in the shower was faulty; it took longer... to repair the toilet flush, the water was constantly running - despite the fact that the campsite is adamant about saving water. The showers only had a plastic curtain, no vestibule, no hooks, primitive. The resto cooks BIO, but the food doesn't come from the field next door (nice fairy tale!!!) but BIO from the jar and can from the mainland (we saw the kitchen packaging waste in the garbage container!) or is bought fresh - no wonder, because the resto is fully booked every evening, the small field next door can't bring in that many vegetables. A beautiful fairy tale. Cakes, tarts, bread, ice cream and the dishes in the resto are of outstanding quality and homemade! You have to cross a busy road to get to the beach, so you can't send children there on their own. The bay is large, open to the public and was full in July, so we switched to more secluded bays for swimming. Be careful when booking in advance: If you cancel 14 days before arrival, you pay 90% of the entire stay! The staff are professional, friendly, English-speaking and helpful. Certainly not a cheap vacation on Elba, but the opportunities on the island for hiking, mountain biking and swimming are simply excellent.Аутоматски преведено.
- Uwe Marlaine M.April 2022Pozitivnothe food in the restaurant - the people working there - the vegetables on offer - the selection of ice creams - the shady campsites - even the sunny ones in the fallNegativnonothingA place that has everything - people don't need to look for anything.we came here on the recommendation of a good friend - everything here is of organic quality - the cuisine is excellently balanced - the bread is baked on site as are the pizzas and cakes - the ice cream is very special made from locally harvested ingredients - the coffee and milk is also very good -... as we didn't have to look for anything because everything is available on site we were able to relax from day one we have been there 3 times and will go again - twice by car and roof tent and once in the yurt - friends of ours also stayed in the yurt for 3 weeks and traveled from Berlin by train in 27 hours from door to door - if you come without a car there is a discount - out of season we like it best so May and OctoberАутоматски преведено.
- Andrea M.May 2020PozitivnoLocation. Proximity to the sea and main services. CleaningNegativnoUnfortunately, during the period of their stay, communal facilities were still closed due to the health emergencyA pleasant stayBeautiful farmhouse just a stone's throw from the sea, with the possibility of tasting organically grown products (excellent strawberries and mulberries...). Friendly staff and respectful of privacyАутоматски преведено.
- Volker B.September 2019PozitivnoProximity to the seaNegativnoGreat noise from neighboring hotelsBig disappointmentWe arrived at the end of September with great expectations and a desire for peace and quiet. These were sorely disappointed. The noise of the dreadful karaoke show from the hotel a short distance away was so loud from around 4pm until just before midnight, as if the speakers were in front of you. That... went on for the first few days. Our pitch was laid out in such a way that the mud was ankle-deep after the rain. Unfortunately, the pitch was not completely usable for us, as it had to allow access to the pitch behind it. The enclosed bathrooms are actually great. But when there is a demand for private bathrooms, they are only accessible with a key. This naturally leads to a shortage for everyone else and that means queuing in the morning. In any case, the economic interest of the operators is sustainable, which can also be seen in the tight spaces. The place would actually be quite nice, but we didn't feel comfortable and left early. We weren't the only ones. The worst thing was the noise. The operator now wants to take legal action against it, but what the outcome will be... I suspect that the operator will treat my criticism in the same way as he has treated all the others that I have read. But if you can't deal with criticism, you can't improve anything.Аутоматски преведено.
- Isabella & Jean-Pierre V.September 2019Great campingexcellent organic products & delicious food - excellent service & great facilities - hospitality & cordiality - sustainability & conservation .... and all this in a beautiful and relaxing place!Аутоматски преведено.
- Michaela L.September 2019Pozitivno-Top location -Pitches in various sizes and shapes available -Staff super friendly -Food in the restaurant perfectNegativnoEvening entertainment from the neighboring hotel. However, this became less frequent towards the end of the low season.A dreamA dream place, there is simply no other way to describe it. We had a super extra pitch with a fantastic view of the sea. The showers and the washbasin on the pitch are super nice, practical and really well equipped. The pitch was huge and the new sun protection is more than well thought out. We had no... problem pitching our goods and awning under the roof. Some of the cleanest sanitary facilities I have ever seen on a campsite. We were also skeptical about the 4-minute walk to the beach, but it really was just that. Of course, it's quite a downhill walk, but that's always the case on Elba. That just leaves the food. It was also delicious!Аутоматски преведено.
- Pierre S.May 2019PozitivnoFriendly staffNegativnoNoise and poor infrastructure. Partly very steep terrain.Friendly, but insufficient overallAlternative campsite with modest infrastructure. With the exception of a few, the pitches are hardly developed. When it rains, the water collects instead of running off. Very noisy due to a nearby club and agricultural vehicles right next to the site.Аутоматски преведено.
- Sven H.July 2018Pozitivnovery natural, spacious, friendly, close to the sea, quiet, very cleanNegativnoactually noneVery naturalWe really liked it at Camping Orti di Mare. The pitches are very spacious and quite far apart from each other. The friendliness and warmth is amazing. It is very different from the "normal" rather narrow and noisy campsites. The focus here is on being in harmony with nature. There is no pool, which in... my opinion is not necessary as it is just 3 minutes to the sea on one of the most beautiful beaches on Elba. The restaurant and stall sell everything that is grown on site. The only small drawback is the price. We paid €570 for 7 days, a mobile home, 2 adults and 2 children (11+7). That corresponds to 80 €/day. Of course, you have to mention that if there are fewer people on the same pitch and staff, it must be specifically more expensive. In addition, everything feels very sustainable and that costs a little more.Аутоматски преведено.
- Günter O.April 2018PozitivnoQuiet, original restaurant under a pergola of grapes, wonderful individual bathrooms, distance from the beach life, incredibly nice staff.NegativnoIn the high season, the voices of the entertainers from a nearby hotel can be heard coming up to the pitch in the late evening. Not very bad.Camping among philosophersThe first time you enter one of the eight beautiful, fully equipped and very well-kept bathrooms, you discover aphorisms by Popper, Voltaire, Kant, Descartes, Gandhi, Dante and others on the inside of the door. You leave the place thoughtfully and find the right environment outside in the square to let... your thoughts wander: the peace and quiet (apart from the occasional use of agricultural machinery in the vegetable gardens and vineyards), the view of the sea, Capoliveri, often also Montecristo, the tall pine trees, the vineyards and vegetable gardens. It smells of rosemary. The oleander blooms in its bright colors. You only really meet interesting, thoughtful, lovely people with whom you can have pleasant, serious conversations, usually in the farm store restaurant. Perhaps it is the flair of the Orti that encourages its guests to do so. Orti di Mare, as has often been described here, is not a suitable place for people looking for entertainment and action on vacation. This is available further down, on the beach, from mid-July and throughout August, every evening, not to be missed, but only for just over an hour. I think it's the humility that everyone here has towards nature and the beauty of the surroundings: Guests, staff and employees. You submit to the sound of the sea, the scent of the plants, the song of the birds. That may sound exaggerated. But rarely have I learned so much about myself and other people. Orti di Mare is not paradise, but it is an oasis of peace and reflection. I couldn't have made better use of my time from mid-April to mid-August.Аутоматски преведено.
- Hartmut S.July 2017PozitivnoSanitary facilities are well maintained! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The facility is very nice.NegativnoNoneThank you for an all-round wonderful vacationThe Orti di Mare campsite is located in the middle of an agricultural area. Due to the different pitch areas, it is very pleasantly quiet on the site. The sanitary facilities are super clean and beautiful. Access to the sea is about 5 minutes away. The site is also brilliant for excursions on the island.... We were on the pitch from 24.07.-4.08.2017 and had a lot of peace and relaxation despite the high season. The fact that the beach is packed during this time is not due to the campsite, but it is a bit annoying. We will definitely be back! Thank you very muchАутоматски преведено.
- Wolfgang M.May 2017PozitivnoThis simple place is ideal for mountain hikers and those seeking peace and quietNegativnoNone for my needs.Good campsiteIn May, I spent 3 weeks on the site with the tent and was alone with the wildcats from the surrounding area for the first week. At that time this year it was unusually hot, so we had to leave for the mountains very early in order to be back before the heat at midday. If I don't have anything to do with... the sea, I at least treated myself to a view of the sea with pitch no. 3, which of course came at an extra cost. The lower pitches in the forest have no extra charge. The sanitary facilities are very good. I can't say anything about the staff. Only had contact when checking in and out.Аутоматски преведено.
- Hendrik A.April 2017PozitivnoInsider tip! You only have to walk 500m to the sea, but you don't have the trouble.NegativnoNo organic food store on site in the low season. But that's not really a disadvantage.Pleasantly clear space with good infrastructureWe were in Orti die Mare over Easter. The hotel's own organic food store was also open from Easter. Pleasant clientele, pitches not too narrow. A mover helps with caravans on some pitches. Sun protection adapted to the surroundings (wood, nature, no metal frame). The site is not as cramped and hectic as the others in the bay of Lacona. Supermarket 500m away.Аутоматски преведено.
- Andreas B.June 2016PozitivnoFriendliness, peace and quiet, great pitches, clean sanitary facilitiesNegativnoShopping facilities in the immediate vicinity are very limited Wifi should be expandedSimple camping once againVery simple but beautifully laid out campsite. A lot of imagination was put into it. The staff are very, very friendly. The sanitary facilities are great and very clean. The organic food store is very expensive and doesn't have a large selection. However, a conventional fruit and vegetable stall is not far away (500m). The bread on site is great.Аутоматски преведено.
- Heiner F.June 2016PozitivnoPlaces not so close together; organic products; relaxed atmosphere, playgroundNegativnoAnimation from neighboring places further away is audible up to here; WiFi actually only at the reception/at the café; limited selection in the storeSmall, relaxed, friendlyAs a family with 3 small children, we were able to relax here and make excursions in all directions of the island.Аутоматски преведено.
- Roman F.March 2016PozitivnoLocation Friendliness Open all year roundNegativnoThe store and restaurant are closed in the low season. (not listed on the homepage).Easter vacation on ElbaOrti di Mare is a small campsite with everything you need at a normal level. We were in the low season after Easter and so it was rather quiet. 1/3 of the site was occupied. As we were on the site in the low season, you couldn't use everything. The store and restaurant were still closed. The reception... was also actually always closed and you had to contact the staff by phone. However, this worked perfectly and the staff were always friendly. The pitches vary in size and you are surrounded by farmland and olive trees. There is water and electricity. The campsite is arranged in terraces. If you are at the top, you have a beautiful view of the sea. The sea itself is about a five-minute walk away. The sanitary facilities were clean and very pleasant. There are individual cabins with an integrated shower and toilet. Important! You should be mobile. The campsite is in Lacona and there isn't really much there! However, you can rent a car or a scooter in Lacona (even in the low season). We stayed there for a week and can recommend the campsite!Аутоматски преведено.
- Tina S.August 2015PozitivnoSmall site, shady pitches with lots of privacy, great sanitary facilitiesNegativnoNoneThe best place we've ever been toWonderful shady pitches. Very, very clean sanitary facilities. Only a good 30 pitches. Lots of peace and nature. Excellent regional products at the small stall selling regional products. Be sure to try the homemade olive bread. The homemade ice cream (especially hemp or olive oil) is also simply delicious.Аутоматски преведено.
- Robert S.April 2015PozitivnoFriendliness, Organic store with bread vegetables, jam, wine etc. Sanitary facilities with bathrooms, Own motorhome parking spaceNegativnoAs with most campsites on Elba, there is no town/village within walking distance.Super nice and quiet placeWe stayed at this campsite with our motorhome at the end of April, beginning of May. Orti di Mare is one of the two nicer campsites on Elba. Not directly by the sea, but with a sea view. In the middle of nature between vineyards and olive groves on a farm. The operators are extremely friendly. Organic store and restaurant on site. Also suitable for motorhomes. With its own camper van parking space.Аутоматски преведено.
- Berthold F.June 2013Very nice campsite in an absolutely quiet location. From the upper pitches you can enjoy the view of two bays! Be sure to try the homemade lemon jam!Аутоматски преведено.
