"Absolutely recommendable - This was our first time camping and we were delighted with the great atmosphere, the super nice owners, the surroundings and the cleanliness. Everything was totally uncomplicated. You can also have breakfast in the inn on the campsite with fresh eggs from their own chickens. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much. "Great place - the whole package fits, newly renovated place with nice operator couple in the middle of nature. Wash house completely renovated and for those who don't want to cook there is even a restaurant with delicious food. I look forward to every stay here.

"Very nice idyllic campsite with great operators - A really nice campsite situated by a stream. You can pitch on a meadow or on newly laid gravelled pitches on a hill. The toilets are always clean and there is WLAN throughout the campsite. Arrival is easy with a large turning area for parking the trailer. Great catering and a beer garden with the sound of the stream. Wonderful! The friendly operators have "this and that" in the store and a bread roll service. The chickens chill out on the site. A good starting point for cycling tours and hikes in the Hunsrück. We really felt at home here and will definitely be back.

"Relaxation in a beautiful area! - I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back. The kitchen alone is worth the trip, bread service and everything else that goes with it makes the stay perfect.

Camping enjoyment in the heart of the Hunsrück region Welcome to our year-round campsite, your perfect retreat for relaxation and adventure in the stunning Hunsrück region! Whether you want to immerse yourself in nature, explore exciting attractions, or simply unwind …– this is the place for you. Our campsite is ideally located near the famous "Edelsteinstrasse" (Gemstone Road) with its center in Idar-Oberstein. Discover the fascinating world of gemstones on numerous tours. Another highlight is the Erbeskopf, just 11 km away. As the highest peak in Rhineland-Palatinate, it is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts and a key stop on the Saar-Hunsrück Trail, Germany's most beautiful long-distance hiking route. We offer a well-maintained, unmarked meadow directly by the Idarbach stream, providing light shade in the morning and warm sunshine in the afternoon. If you prefer a more secluded spot, our romantic area by the Brühlbach stream offers a peaceful setting with a stunning sunset view. Our "Sonnenterrasse" (sun terrace) features 8 solid, gravel-based pitches with electricity and water access, allowing you to enjoy the view from sunrise to sunset. For groups, we offer a separate youth camping area with a private swimming spot and a fire pit. On our "Tourist Meadow by the Stream," 25 pitches with electricity and central water points are available. Alternatively, enjoy the tranquility of our tent meadow in a side valley by the Brühlbach, perfect for tents, small caravans, and compact camper vans. For those traveling without camping gear, we provide fully equipped rental tents for up to 6 people. These include camp beds, furniture, and an optional comfort package with bedding, towels, dishes, and a kettle for a carefree stay. Come and experience the perfect camping getaway!

Directions: Our campsite Sensweiler-Mühle is in the Hunsrück region, near Idar-Oberstein. From the A62, take the Birkenfeld exit and follow the B269 toward Idar-Oberstein. In Allenbach, turn towards Sensweiler. From there, it’s just a few minutes to Sensweiler Mühle 2.
