In the middle of Northern Ireland, seventy kilometres west of Belfast, lies The Shepherds Rest Pub. This secluded pub has a small, quiet campsite. The campsite is beautifully maintained, with level pitches and excellent facilities. Space, peace and greenery The …campsite consists of around thirty pitches on beautiful lawns. These are surrounded by trees and shrubs at the edges. Plateaus for caravans and motorhomes have been laid out on the slightly sloping grassy area. This makes it easier to place the caravan or motorhome straight. In addition, paved camper pitches have been laid out. The campsite is surrounded by pastures, so you can camp in the peace and quiet of the countryside. In the Campers Cottage you can cook and sit by the open fire. If you arrive without a caravan or motorhome, you can move into a great hikers' cabin. Cosy and comfortable At The Shepherds Rest Pub campsite, the atmosphere is cosy. You have plenty of space and it is wonderfully quiet. Most campers come to this campsite to go cycling or hiking in the area. This campsite is less suitable for children, although there is some playground equipment. A secluded spot There is no restaurant on the campsite, but you can get simple, good meals in the homely pub. There is also a recreation room with games, books and a TV. Because you are staying here in a remote area, you will have poor reception with your mobile phone.
